Hello my 12 year old was taking omnicef for a ear infection and 10 days into it she got hives all over her body and they come and go and really ichy do you think it's from the Omnicef?
ve had ulcertive colitis for 3 year now, with medication my doc said all ulcers are gone and was amazed this happened in 6 weeks. However the urgency and skinny stools never went away. On and off medications b/c it came back,the bleeding, urgency, pus, etc. I still have in the morning for over a hour, running back and forth to the bathroom diarreah. Mostly orange in color, skinny and smells.
My 4 yr.old son had an allergic reaction to Omnicef. Hives all over and swollen hands, arms and feet. It's been 18 days and still gets a slight case of the hives . Within the last week( 3 times) he's had leg pain(muscel pain) joint pain. He has a hard time walking, usually the next day he can, it lasts anywhere from 12-24 hours. The 3 times he's had the leg pain he's either been swimming or riding a bike, took him to the hospital, blood work, x-rays and urine all came back fine.

Yes it very much could be, the same way that alcohol can discolor stools aswell and chilli and spicey foods have an affect on it. I would watch your stool for the next 24 to 48 hours and if you see no change go along to your doctor and mention you would like a stool test done. If you have no discomfort and your not having any symptoms that are out of the normal, and your stool is still the same consitancy as normal then you should be fine. Just keep an eye on it.
ve had fairly significant changes to my bowel habits. There is blood in my stool which is generally bright red, and my stools tend to be very gassy and pass partially formed, and partially as diarrhea. The color of the stools is a light, reddish brown (notwithstanding the occasional bright red blood on the surface).
Sorry if this sounds gross, but the other day I went to the bathroom and I noticed some small little red specs on my stools. They appeared to be maroon/red in color, and I'm not quite sure if it was blood. I did eat strawberries the day before, and I was wondering if that could have been the cause? Has anyone else noticed when passing bowel movements. Could it be undigested food. I'm kind of scared, so can someone please shed some light on this....Thanks.
So I've been on depo for 9.months now and got my renewal shot and antibiotics for 10 days on the same day, how long should I wait before having unprotected sex? How will they effect eachother????
I have taken 10 days of Omnicef and most recently(this week) i just finished 250mg Zpack but I still have the discharge. Back in November I notice the gland behind my right ear was swollen. For the past week, my neck is tight under my ears and jaw and under my armpits. Today I noticed the gland in my right groin is rock hard and the size of a large pea. I cannot feel the left groin gland. It does not hurt to touch but it makes it uncomfortable to sit and have some minor testicular pain.
By this time, the symptoms would come back and I would start to worry about it so I got some antibiotics from my GP and took Azithromycin for 5 days, then took Levofloxacin but stopped half way through due to side effects, then took Omnicef for 10 days, and in between this, also had 3 Rocephin shots. The last of antibiotic I finished was the Omnicef in the beginning of June.
There are lots of things that can darken your stools, including Red Wine. And to have this much wine with so little food, I would think this could be the culprit. But if it is, you should feel better in a day or two. Sounds like it could also be food poisoning, which will go away on it's own via the diarrhea and vomiting removing it from your body. Try to stay hydrated in the meantime.
hi, the other day i noticed a red colour in parts of my stools. i wondered if it could be something id eaten, but i hadnt eaten anything unusual or different. I have irritable bowel syndrome and i think my stomachs been worse lately because iv been more stressed with exams coming up. but my brother was diagnosed a little while ago with IBD (uc).
what do u think this could be? should i just wait to see if it happens again?
i am passing formed then semi formed stools and in the end loose form.i have gone through endoscopy and stool tests.there was nothing apart from my stool reaction was acidic.no pus cells ...red blood cells.further no cyst and ova.when i take flagyl 400mg once,my stool completely becomes normal formed almost 80%.and the rest semi formed.kindly help me out regarding my semi formed stools keeping in view of h pylori...
Hi all, wondering if you have come across information indicating that flagyl can treat babesia at the same time it's treating Lyme. I understand it's also a antiparasitic, so not sure if that counts. If anyone knows or has heard their LLMD mention this please let me know. I just took my first dose of Flagyl, keeping my fingers crossed that I see some fantastic results!
Then to add insult to injury when I took her for her 4 month check(one week later) up they discovered she had an ear infection and was wheezing a bit when she breathed. So now she is back on the antibiotic omnicef AND breathing treatments(which don't seem to be working in my opinion) and still as stuffy in the nose as can been. This has been just a nightmare to me as I just want her to be healthy.

I have posted on the STD forum, as that was my originial concern. I have now come to post here, as it looks like that is not what I have going on. 2 weeks ago, I was diagnosed with Impetigo and Folliculitis, most likely caused by the same bacteria living on my body. The doctor diagnosed the Impetigo by looking at it, and he prescribed me Doxycycline and Muporocin (SP?) After a few days, the Impetigo began to clear up. It was in the left corner of my lip.
I am on everything except the Cefidinir(Omnicef) bc she is adding that after we add the Septra and sees if it is well tolerated.
My sodium level was low and my white blood count and granulocytes were very high and my lymphocytes were low. The Dr. put me on Omnicef for 10 days. I went back to the doctor a few days ago, and everything else turned out normal except now I had high Calcium and High Total Blood Protein. My Total Protein was 10.6. I am worried about the possibility of Cancer or something serious.
ve been having bloody stools (not always) and painful bowl movements and painful gas. The blood is in my stools and in the toilet/on the paper. At first my family doctor said it was nothing and it would go away. Then she thought it was a fissure. She perscribed me several medications and ointments to help it go away. Which it didn't. My doctor doesn't exactly listen to her patients very well.. Thats besides my point.
ve been having this redness on my glans and tip of the urethra for over 4 weeks now. It comes and goes. Sometimes it will be red at night and fine in the morning. Sometimes it lasts a little longer, like a day or two then go back to normal. Any idea what this could be?
I took Levofloxacin, 3 Rocephin shots, and am now taking Omnicef for 10 days. Also had unprotected oral sex and protected intercourse about 37 days ago which I think I noticed the redness before I even began those antibiotics.

I'm a 42 year old healthy/inshape male who had a pretty decent sized lipoma removed from my side/ rib cage. About 5 days later, it started to swell up. I went back to my dermatologist, and she said I have a hematoma- usually they resolve themselves. Two days later, it's still big, and i have pain in my left side/chest area. The stitches are set to be removed tomorrow- But- it looks as if it's (the hematoma) is even bigger than before- swollen like a baloon, not blue.
