I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.
Sorry if this sounds gross, but the other day I went to the bathroom and I noticed some small little red specs on my stools. They appeared to be maroon/red in color, and I'm not quite sure if it was blood. I did eat strawberries the day before, and I was wondering if that could have been the cause? Has anyone else noticed when passing bowel movements. Could it be undigested food. I'm kind of scared, so can someone please shed some light on this....Thanks.
Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.
hi, the other day i noticed a red colour in parts of my stools. i wondered if it could be something id eaten, but i hadnt eaten anything unusual or different. I have irritable bowel syndrome and i think my stomachs been worse lately because iv been more stressed with exams coming up. but my brother was diagnosed a little while ago with IBD (uc).
what do u think this could be? should i just wait to see if it happens again?
i am passing formed then semi formed stools and in the end loose form.i have gone through endoscopy and stool tests.there was nothing apart from my stool reaction was acidic.no pus cells ...red blood cells.further no cyst and ova.when i take flagyl 400mg once,my stool completely becomes normal formed almost 80%.and the rest semi formed.kindly help me out regarding my semi formed stools keeping in view of h pylori...
m doing. the supplements enhance the effectiveness of the antibiotics and the 2nd antibiotic (cefdinir) is to go after the lyme. we know there is nothing here to treat the cyst form of lyme but the Dr. didn't want to put me on any more medicines at this time.
I have been having problems for several years now and no one can really find out whats going on. I have had blood in my stools for the past 5 or so years now. I have had two colonoscopy and two endoscopys and they said nothing was wrong but yet they couldnt explain the blood. I ended up in the er one night and they did a test to see if my galbladder was working, it wasnt and it get taken out. That however did not help the blood, they said its not big deal beacuse it is bright red.
Is the dye from red chili enough to cause red stool? Less than a year ago I had a hemicolectomy to remove a cancerous tumor from my colon. The surgeon was confident in having removed the mass and no lymph nodes were affected. I opted against chemo. Lately (for several weeks) I've noticed dark spots in my stools and last night red. I'm not sure if it was from the red chili in the tamales I had at lunch, or if there is real reason for concern.
ve had fairly significant changes to my bowel habits. There is blood in my stool which is generally bright red, and my stools tend to be very gassy and pass partially formed, and partially as diarrhea. The color of the stools is a light, reddish brown (notwithstanding the occasional bright red blood on the surface).

s my sinus..I went to the dr the other day and I told him bout what was going on and he gave me cefdinir 300mg capsule and I been on them for 3 days and tonight I'm hurting really badly I have never been in so much pain and when I cough it hurts..does anyone know what this could be??
ve suffered from for 40 years - bright red blood, loose and mucusy/stringy stools . . . plus the urgency and frequency to eliminate. I was diagnosed first with UC, then told it was actually ulcerative proctitis - which affects only the lower colon and is indicated by the bright red blood - as opposed to darker blood that's "older" from having been passed from further up.
Recently, my appetite has also suffered due to the burning pain.
If you are having red blood on your stools, it doesn't sound cyst related. Red blood on the stools is more likely a hermorrhoid that is usually caused by constipation. That would go along with your abdominal pain too. Small cysts are very common and usually go away on their own. It is never a good idea to ignore pain though. You should call your doctor and get it checked.
If you have loose stools with blood and mucus in stools with crampy pain in stomach, it could be due to infection (bacterial/amebic) and you need to have stool microscopy done for confirmation it. The other possibility is of inflammatory bowel disease.
Other causes of blood in stools are aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, polyps (small growths) and malignant growths of tissue. Diagnosis is by ultrasound abdomen. In some cases sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy may be needed.
