I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.
Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.

I am a 24 year old male. My stool tends to be somewhat loose and occasionally watery/liquid. It's rarely full blown diarhhea.
I have noticed over the last month or so that the area around my anus is very raw feeling and sore. I am trying to figure out if this is just my skin being burned;/corroded a bit by my loose stool or if it's a fissure or infection. It feels raw and sore when wiping after a bowel movement, when sweat runs into it from intense exercise, etc.
Third, what are my odds of catching Syphillis give it is more prevelant in SE Asia and Thailand. My final question is that I visited a doctor in HK and he prescribed Cefdinir 300mgs, 2x a day for 2 weeks to treat possible STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) and he also indicated this could treat Syphilis. After spending some time online, I am confused and not certain that will treat the above issues.

Then food poisoning (goes with diarrhea), intestinal worms (Possible: mucus, bloating, diarrhea).

Crohn's disease (usually start in young adults...)
Polyp, or cancer...well, not impossible in your age, but 50+ is a common age for colorectal cancer.
was just diagnosed last wednesday with the flu, and then yesterday 5 days later was diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. Yes it very much could be, the same way that alcohol can discolor stools aswell and chilli and spicey foods have an affect on it. I would watch your stool for the next 24 to 48 hours and if you see no change go along to your doctor and mention you would like a stool test done. If you have no discomfort and your not having any symptoms that are out of the normal, and your stool is still the same consitancy as normal then you should be fine. Just keep an eye on it.

I found what appears to be red coloring in the toilet after passing a stool for the last couple of days. I feel the same as normal, only the coloring in the water is kind of freaking me out. The actual stool itself appears fairly normal (with slight darkening from some Pepto I took for a night I ate more than I planned).
I had a positive stool test and then got a colonoscopy this past week which was normal. I am continuing to have stools with red spots that I assume to be blood. I have recently had some weight loss from about 110 to 104. I am wondering what might be the next step? I would appreciate any advice or information. Thank you very much.
I was taken to the hospital where they told me I was dehydrated and had klebsiella in my urine. I took cefdinir and macrobid for 10 days. exactly a week after my antibiotics were gone..my fever spiked from 99-103 within an hour. the whole time I was on the antibiotics I felt as sick as I did the say I passed out 2 weeks prior. I went to the ER where they diagnosed me with c diff due to antibiotics. but, the way I'm feeling is how I have felt from the beginning.
I can't imagine how masturbating would lead to blood in your stool. If you have heavy blood in your stool, you need to go to the doctor. It's bright red? Do you have a history of hemorrhoids? Sometimes they can be attributed to red blood in stool. But that would be unlikely related to masturbating. Unless you aggravated it somehow. An anal fissure and masturbation may lead to blood in stool. But that seems doubtful too. Any way you can go to the doctor?
t meaningless as far as what is going on. if you are still having pellets and hard stool, time for a stool softener and even perhaps you need a daily laxative like senokot to get things regular again. hard stool sitting on your prostate on the inside can also cause some pain issues too.
it can be hard to get rid of yeast infections. you might want to consider a probiotic like culturelle twice a day too to help replace your 'good' bacteria in your gi tract.
Usually if it's come from somewhere in your intestines, the blood and stool are darker. If it's bright red and just the external parts (not mixed in with the stool), you may just have an internal hemorrhoid. If the entire stool is that bright red color, get to a doctor as soon as possible. Changes in stool color are not something to ignore!
