Avatar n tn To find out if your issue is mold/fungus related eat a lot garlic the night before, if you have orange spots in your stool or orange when you wipe, the garlic(an anti fungal) killed some of the fungus in your digestive tract.
Avatar f tn I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.
Avatar f tn Some foods, like certain types of fish, have naturally indigestable fats and can cause orange, oily stool. Another possibility is fat malabsorption. It might be a good idea to keep track of your diet.
Avatar m tn Foods that can cause orange stool include: Any food with artificial yellow or orange coloring Carrots Cilantro Collard greens Fresh thyme Kale Sweet potatoes Spinach Turnip greens Winter squash If stool is still orange when it is eliminated, it could mean that it is not being exposed to, or absorbing enough, bile salt. Bile is yellowish green, and when it reacts with enzymes in the bowel, it turns stool brown.
Avatar f tn For nearly 3 weeks I have had frequent diarrhea consisting of either watery bright yellow stool or semi solid orange/yellow stool, and sometimes both have mucous along with it. The first week I started experiencing symptoms I would go to the bathroom at least 5-7 times daily for the first week. My stool for the beginning of the first week I attributed to gastritis from a night of drinking with some friends.
Avatar f tn This is very gross to say and I really don’t want to but when ever I wipe after a bowel movement it’s yellow or orange. The stool itself looks ok it’s just when I wipe.
Avatar f tn small amounts of white spots in stool can just be from a high fat meal, however if more than 50% of the stool is white or clay colored this can be due to a block in the bile duct and needs to be addressed.
Avatar f tn A few weeks ago I noticed when I go to flush that my stool has orange/red leaking from it. By leaking I mean I can only describe it as stuff is coming out of the stool and sitting at the bottom of the toilet (surrounding the stool). Not like blood, I don’t believe- although I’m going to obviously test for that. It’s so weird it’s as though it’s residue of some kind. I haven’t felt 100 percent well but not sure if it’s related to this situation.
Avatar f tn However, today I noticed went I made a bowel movement, there are orange/maybe very light red gel like chunks in the stool. I cant trace anything i ate lately to that.... nothing gel substance or orange at all... The stool is pretty loose so this is how i noticed (when i wiped, one of the chunks was on the toilet paper, then I looked in the bowl and saw quite a few more in the stool) Do you think this is just something that is associated with the IBS type issues? Or should I be worried?
Avatar f tn Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.
1265027 tn?1284839951 i took him to the dr tuesday and he had a double ear infrceion. she put him on CEFDINIR and said there was a 5% chance hed have reation and wednesday (after 3 doses) he broke out in an awful rash. just like he did when he was 11 months old from the penicillin,. he is 2 and a half now. I took him to the dr and we stopped the medicine and i began the 4-6 hrs of benadryl i just want to know how long will he continue to break out? he goes between 6-8 hours and then will break out.
Avatar m tn But this orange oily base continues, and presents all sorts of problems. Pass gas it shoots out orange colored stuff with a strong foul odor smell. I have no pain whatsoever, but the irritation that it causes is beyond explanation, soil my shorts, can't gp too far, sleep on the couch with a bed plastic cover so as not to soil anything else. Years ago I had the head of my pancreas removed, but my tests are all positive about the enzimes, and no liver problem according to my blood tests.
Avatar n tn I had orange oil in my stool and i want to know if the laxative mineral oil will do that to me?

Avatar m tn It's possible he's not absorbing fat, which would be the oily part. The orange part....I don't know. Maybe mention celiac disease to the doctor and see what he thinks. Unless this is just temporary absorption problems from a virus or something. Keep an eye on him and if it continues, revisit the doctor. Good luck.
Avatar m tn Bile and bacteria is what gives stool its final brown color. If stool is still orange when it is eliminated, it could mean that it is not being exposed to, or absorbing enough, bile salt. Bile is yellowish green, and when it reacts with enzymes in the bowel, it turns stool brown. Moreover, If stool is still green by the time it is excreted, it could mean that it went through the large intestine too fast to be changed in color.
Avatar f tn I have stools that alternate with being clay colored to white colored and then occassionally some orange and it is so orange that it colors the entire water in the toilet. I also have a lot of epigastric discomfort and constipation. I also have confusion at times but i am not jaundiced..But then again i used to tan all the time and i have a different skin tone anyway so i often wonder if that masks it but my eyes arent yellow..
Avatar f tn T started taking Alli because thyroid medicne is not working. I started having oily orange stool. Is that a bad sign or normal? This discussion is related to Orange oil substance with stool.
Avatar m tn Is it possible than the orange color of my stool is related to Hep C infection?????? or it is just coincidence??? Also what does it mean when stools are clay colored?
Avatar f tn i went about a week without going and oranges were the only thing that worked.... after uve been the once always eat at least one orange a day. People say use orange juice but i find eating the actual orange works quicker!
Avatar f tn I was a vegan for a couple of months about a year ago and stopped as I had orange oil droplets that floated on the top of the water come out of my stool and when I wiped it was orange too, when it went away blood came out in my stool instead, I also had abdominal pains and ulcers. However when I stopped my eczema came back and even worse!
Avatar n tn white diarrhea with an orange film. After that all of my stool varied from a white to a clay color... sometimes it would look orange. It slowly changed back to the normal brown through the course of the month. My stomach pain became increasingly more severe, concentrated around my upper left abdomen. I would get a stabbing pain in my abdomen followed by a sort of cramp like uncomfortability.
