Hello my 12 year old was taking omnicef for a ear infection and 10 days into it she got hives all over her body and they come and go and really ichy do you think it's from the Omnicef?

She is now on 14 days of omnicef at 4.5ml of 250mg/5ml strength. She has received since the 14th omnicef 5ml of 150 (whatever the lower strength is)mg/5ml that was a 10 days script that she took 5 of because they then started rocephin injections on the 20th. The original omnicef was for an ear infection. That was clear when she went in on the 19th and they rocephin (1gm) injections were started due to the prolonged fever (since the 8th). She had three 1 gm injections..

Does anyone know what the equivalent dosage of Armour is to 1.25 mg and 1.0 mg levothyroxine respectively? Also, if anyone knows the equivalent Armour to 1.0 mg levothyroxine/ .25 mg Cytomel... Thank you very much in advance....

I have had a round of Avelox a few weeks ago and recently Omnicef 600mg/day for 10 days and still have discharge. Question, wouldn't these antibiotics be affective against NGU, Chlamydia or Gonnorrhea? Thanks for the help.

For the mood chart, it would be nice to have the option to add medications ourselves. There are so many different meds out there, the list provided doesn't cover them all, and it would be hard to keep up with them. The option should be to enter the name of the med ourselves. The tracker is great, but more med options is needed. Is this function already there and I am not seeing it?

Hi all, wondering if you have come across information indicating that flagyl can treat babesia at the same time it's treating Lyme. I understand it's also a antiparasitic, so not sure if that counts. About 1 year ago I as given Omnicef for a bacterial infection. After 3 days of tumultuous diarrhea, I finally stopped this drug but not soon enough. Ever since then, I have had stomach problems. It first started out as irregular and often BM’s, and then progressed to A constant gnawing or burning between my breastbone and navel in addition to erratic BM’s and gas, bloating, and just an overall lousy feeling within the digestive system.

I am on everything except the Cefidinir(Omnicef) bc she is adding that after we add the Septra and sees if it is well tolerated.

his pediatrician prescribed Omnicef for severe ear infections. She said there was a 5% chance hed be allergic to that but she wanted to try it out. well, he was allergic. After 3 doses he broke out in HIVES all over his face and scalp scratching and screaming in a way no child ought to scream. My 4 yr.old son had an allergic reaction to Omnicef. Hives all over and swollen hands, arms and feet. It's been 18 days and still gets a slight case of the hives . He was put on amoxil and had an allergic reaction so he has been taking omnicef. The Dr told us this week that the omnicef has not done anything and that he was going to give him a round of antibiotic shots. So far my son has had 2 of the 3 shots. My first question is how quickly do these shots work? My other question is: Is there some underlying problem that is causing these ear infections, something more serious? My child was 1 1/2 months old when she developed a "cold" that consisted of a stuffy nose for about 1 1/2 months. My sodium level was low and my white blood count and granulocytes were very high and my lymphocytes were low. The Dr. put me on Omnicef for 10 days. I have taken 10 days of Omnicef and most recently(this week) i just finished 250mg Zpack but I still have the discharge. Back in November I notice the gland behind my right ear was swollen. For the past week, my neck is tight under my ears and jaw and under my armpits. Today I noticed the gland in my right groin is rock hard and the size of a large pea. I cannot feel the left groin gland. It does not hurt to touch but it makes it uncomfortable to sit and have some minor testicular pain.

The doctor was not real knowable about STDs. He gave me omnicef to take. Will omnicef cure the potential infection? I dropped the prescription off at the Rx and can't remember the directions or mg but will the omnicef work?
