1364495 tn?1293904753 Because you haven't said what's wrong with you, it's very hard to suggest anything specific to eat, and since you're lack of eating seems more psychological from all the stress you're under from being so sick, it's also hard to tell you what you could keep down. Is there a physiological reason you're getting nauseous, or is it something else the docs can't figure out?
Avatar f tn t even start my day without puking. Someone told me miso soup helps sickness but i never tried it. Try eating a lil snack at night before you go to sleep and when you wake up in the morning dont get up too fast.
Avatar f tn I ate sushi every day in my first trimester ,i was craving it so bad,i asked for mine made fresh and they did. Oh and miso soup yum to and good for baby .
17020225 tn?1455749597 Gym, what I'm saying is, when you say tempeh and miso, you speak as if this is one thing. It isn't. Also, natto has a taste that very few Americans can stand -- it's very strong. But there's a whole lot of misos out there so just telling someone to eat miso isn't saying anything -- which miso? For example, the miso soup you get in American Japanese restaurants might not have any real miso in it at all and will have sugar in it.
Avatar n tn My wife and I learned that our 16 week old unborn child had no heartbeat. after 48 hours of MISO, her cervix won't dilate. I'm trying to understand what options are out there. They said a DNC was not possible and as such suggested this grueling process. Just trying to get the facts / other options so we can simply move on / get hom.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, so I love soup and all types of soup. I could eat it everyday and for ever meal but breakfast. With so many different types of soup, and so many different ingriedents. If I decided to eat a can of soup for lunch and dinner could I lose weight and get the nutrient I need. I know I could if I made homemade soup but I don't have time for this often. I think I would still eat a wrap or salad here and there but mainly soup.

Avatar f tn As long as the fish is cooked and you don't have it all day everyday you're fine. If you ever wonder if you can have something ask the cooks and they will let you know if something is raw or not.
Avatar f tn t know about before, some soups are great adjuncts to a good meal. Miso soup is high in protein, and is very good for the digestive system. If you throw some tofu and seaweed in it, you've pretty much got a healthier meal that most of us eat all week. A holiday is coming up for me where I can't eat a lot of what I usually do because of dietary restrictions, so I'll be spending 4 days eating matzoh ball soup but it's not like any you're see anywhere else.
Avatar f tn can chiaris also cause a change in sensation in the mouth? my tongue feels weird... almost like it is swollen?
905197 tn?1282232033 It sounds healthy to me as long as it doesnt contain any uncooked meat or fish. I went by the sushi stand on my lunch break today to get a cup of miso soup and I was drooling at all the yummy sushi I use to enjoy. veggie sushi sounds good. What kind of veggies are in it?
975263 tn?1283467568 , a good idea would be that if you still have him on a bottle you give him a sippy cup instead, and I agree with your Doctor finger foods , let him eat by himself, put up some nutricious foods onto a plate, cheerios or similar Cereal for breakfast, yoghort, let him have his own spoon, you can clear up the mess thats okay, sometimes slices of toast with peanut butter and jelly.
Avatar f tn Hi :-) I am very interested in changing my eating habits and learning more about nutrition. I recently was told that soy milk can cause thyroid problems. Would any one like to share pro's and con's of consuming a lot of soy in your diet? Thanks, B.
Avatar f tn I understand! My 3 year okd son and I live "noodle soup" as he calls it. This is just what I do to make myself feel better about it being healthy. I used filtered water for the broth, add organic Miso paste, non gmo soy sauce, and frozen organic veggies usually just peas, corn, green beans etc, sometimes curry powder to the noodles and I don't put the flavor packet that it comes with. That is all that really is crucial to avoid.
973741 tn?1342342773 We carried about a dozen bulk barrels of differently aged miso (love miso soup) and a lot of ume and ume paste. They used food as their main source of medicine. I thought they were all on the hyper side considering my problems, so I never was attracted to it, and I love so many kinds of food and they eliminate a lot of foods from the diet, but I will say they had a lot of energy, seldom got sick, and were very thin -- too thin often.
2000931 tn?1401563007 Today I had the day off work because I was a little unwell but also caring for my sick child. In the fridge I have home made pumpkin and lentil soup, fresh korma balls made of veggies and spices, and I have just finished dehydrating a fruit and nut delight to fight the kids over. Diet is just one aspect of my recovery. Today I lay in the sun and meditated to a bit of classical music and felt at peace. I also hobbled to the shop with my sick daughter to get exercise.
Avatar f tn But am confused about the nutrition fact they write in the box of food (rice for example) they say nutrition facts for 100 g but is it like 100g of boiled rice or the uncooked product ? I guess there's a difference because when you use dry product you need for example two cups but if you use cooked rice you may need a cup ... Since it sucked water and its heavier so .. Any thoughts or maybe am dumb lol ! Thank you .
Avatar f tn Miso unmotivated today. I wish I could just stay in bed and do nothing!! Know what I mean?
Avatar f tn Talk to your dr, but I would say it's pretty normal. My 1st pregnancy I was fine, other than the look, smell or thought of chicken made me sick. With my last 2, everything made me sick in the first trimester. I lived off of saltines, Nilla crackers, broth, miso soup and ginger ale. An apple would make me sick. It'll pass but let your dr know and try things you wouldn't normally eat and that are bland and smaller amounts more frequent.
Avatar n tn What is fermented is eaten in very small quantities -- one small bowl of miso soup in Japan, a little miso as seasoning on the tofu), a little traditional soy sauce (which is only slightly fermented, but as alcohol is, not by culturing, as tempeh and miso are), a little natto again for flavor. You gotta go with the facts to make your argument, which may be true or may not be, but you gotta go with the actual facts.
14869466 tn?1447439017 Constantly have something to eat-keep saltine/graham/Nilla crackers handy, eat them even before getting up out if bed just a few. Ginger ale, sour hard candy, soup broth, ginger tea, candied ginger, miso soup. Get a sea sickness band I've heard they help (find on Amazon, I've seen them at BuyBuyBaby too).
Avatar f tn I'm 7 weeks having terrible nausea and throwing up how am I supposed to eat and get the right nutrition when I can't hold anything down ? I called my nurse to see if they can prescribe something because the tums and ginger is not working..does anyone have any insight on how to get through this in weeks to come ?
9881093 tn?1406482679 I was the same except for craving for red meat, i craved miso soup .Im 35w now an stil no sickness.
Avatar f tn Soup will not give you the nutrition you need to keep yourself healthy. Eating a cup of soup before a meal will help you eat less during the meal, as will eating a small apple, drinking a glass of water or vegetable juice. Losing weight "immediately" is nearly impossible, so just start on a good healthy diet and stick with it. It will take longer to lose the weight, but you'll do it in a healthy manner.
