Avatar f tn Hi everyone, so I love soup and all types of soup. I could eat it everyday and for ever meal but breakfast. With so many different types of soup, and so many different ingriedents. If I decided to eat a can of soup for lunch and dinner could I lose weight and get the nutrient I need. I know I could if I made homemade soup but I don't have time for this often. I think I would still eat a wrap or salad here and there but mainly soup.

975263 tn?1283467568 , a good idea would be that if you still have him on a bottle you give him a sippy cup instead, and I agree with your Doctor finger foods , let him eat by himself, put up some nutricious foods onto a plate, cheerios or similar Cereal for breakfast, yoghort, let him have his own spoon, you can clear up the mess thats okay, sometimes slices of toast with peanut butter and jelly.
2000931 tn?1401563007 Today I had the day off work because I was a little unwell but also caring for my sick child. In the fridge I have home made pumpkin and lentil soup, fresh korma balls made of veggies and spices, and I have just finished dehydrating a fruit and nut delight to fight the kids over. Diet is just one aspect of my recovery. Today I lay in the sun and meditated to a bit of classical music and felt at peace. I also hobbled to the shop with my sick daughter to get exercise.
Avatar f tn But am confused about the nutrition fact they write in the box of food (rice for example) they say nutrition facts for 100 g but is it like 100g of boiled rice or the uncooked product ? I guess there's a difference because when you use dry product you need for example two cups but if you use cooked rice you may need a cup ... Since it sucked water and its heavier so .. Any thoughts or maybe am dumb lol ! Thank you .
Avatar f tn I'm 7 weeks having terrible nausea and throwing up how am I supposed to eat and get the right nutrition when I can't hold anything down ? I called my nurse to see if they can prescribe something because the tums and ginger is not working..does anyone have any insight on how to get through this in weeks to come ?
Avatar f tn Soup will not give you the nutrition you need to keep yourself healthy. Eating a cup of soup before a meal will help you eat less during the meal, as will eating a small apple, drinking a glass of water or vegetable juice. Losing weight "immediately" is nearly impossible, so just start on a good healthy diet and stick with it. It will take longer to lose the weight, but you'll do it in a healthy manner.
Avatar n tn He eats nothing, just drinks soup or fruit juice. But recently, he hardly drinks.I give him Supradyn (including Coenzyme Q10) twice a day to maintain his vitamin/mineral needs. But unfortunately his nutrition lacks of protein and he gets more fatigue. I have two questions: 1) How can I get him to eat or drink something? Cardiologists whom I know dont prescribe anything to stimulate his appetite nor advice to do something for it.
1364495 tn?1293904753 All I can recommend is to try a variety of foods and see what might work. Keep doing the applesauce and soup if that works. Have you tried nutrition drinks like Ensure or Boost? Nutrition bars?
6579347 tn?1388502368 Hi, there - I just started on zoloft 2 weeks ago for chronic anxiety. This forum has been great for giving me hope that I'm on the right path! I'm already a tiny lady - 5'4", 110lb. Prior to the anxiety onset, I love to eat and exercise. The exercise I've kept up with because the endorphins help manage the anxiety. But the anxiety plus the zoloft are killing my appetite.
Avatar f tn I always appreciate nutrition info! thanks for posting it!
1339332 tn?1329854366 In the fall & winter, I like to make a couple big kettles of soup: 1 beef stew and 1 chicken & rice or noodle soup. I freeze a bunch of single servings and have a "grab & go" meal when I'm too rushed or tired to cook. I hesitate to do so this year because I wouldn't know the calorie/nutrient values without doing a lot of laborious searching for each individual ingredients. My Dad wanted some, though, so I made it and guess what I then found online?
Avatar f tn Paxiled, can you link you answer from the nutrition forum, here so we don't have to hunt for it, please?
Avatar f tn About your bd??? Baby daddy? If you're pregnant you need to be eating, baby needs nutrition. And try not be stressed. It's not good, I had a miscarriage due to stress. It's not worth it. Just try to focus on your little one.
Avatar n tn Actually he was a very fine doctor, one who paid attention to nutrition. He taught my mother how to make soup. First you get a great big cow bone. You simmer this in water for eight hours. Then you make your soup in the stock. We still make soup that way. This is a little off the subject, but I though you might enjoy it.
Avatar f tn The most important is self-care. Eating good nutrition, drinking plenty of water, decreasing caffeine (a stimulant). Exercise, even if it's just getting up and dancing or going for a good walk. Rest when you need to. Listen to your body. Distraction when the anxiety is creeping in - turn on some music, call a friend and talk it out, get up and go walk. But most importantly is retraining your brain. "This is just anxiety. It's no fun, but it's not going to hurt me.
Avatar n tn And remember veggies and fruits have carbs.
547836 tn?1302832832 I was reading the nutrition facts under the links and noticed that although none of the two contain iron, the Protegra contains 5000 IU of Vitamin A! That's a lot of Vitamin A. Should I start taking these every other day? Or maybe once/ twice a week instead of everyday? or not at all? THANKS!
Avatar f tn With the flu,...in my experience,....you just gotta "ride it out".....don't try to do anything but lay around in your snuggly pajamas and rest....take some aspirin for your fever, try to keep hydrated with water and juices or 7-up (not sprite).....and when you feel up to eating something,....THE BEST thing is chicken noodle soup,...or cream of chicken soup.....there's something magical in that broth. Hope this helps......oh,...

Tbd I have never used Medifast personally, but a quick glance at their nutrition facts, and I would say if you are struggling with high cholesterol, I wouldn't go that route. Any pre-packaged items/shakes like that tend to be high in sodium and cholesterol- two things you want to stay away from. As with any diet- I'd ask your doctor before you start any plan to make sure it's right for you. I know losing weight can be tough!
