Avatar f tn I am 23 weeks now and am at 172. The calculator stated I was over weight to begin with. Is the Calculator right? What is normal?
Avatar f tn I was wondering if i should go see a nutritionist to make sure me and the baby are getting adequate nutrition. I have always been a small 110lb and no matter what i eat i never gain any weight. Has anyone gone to see one and was it worth it? Did it make a difference?
Avatar m tn Well, I know you say you don't have time to get to the gym, but that is what will boost your appetite and help build the muscle you're looking for. Even if you can't do it regularly, try to at least go for a jog around your block once or twice a week or do workout videos (like the well-known P90X videos) that are quick to whip you into shape at home. As for meal plans, combining complex carbs and protein is your best bet for gaining muscle.
Avatar f tn with me starting at 180 I gained 14 pounds which brought me up to 194 then I lost three bring my weight back to 191 then i lost another pound in two weeks putting me at 190 last appointment hence total weight changing from 14 pounds to 11 pounds then to ten if u gain from last weight in it adds that but if u loss it subtracts the difference from last weigh in giving you I new total weight Gian.

Avatar m tn please my bmi , the calculator below says i am underwight and i need to gain weight, my weight is 60kg and height is 1.9m,,,https://y2calculate.
Avatar f tn BMI is a useful way to determine a healthy weight. You can find a BMI calculator and other tools for determining a healthy weight on the CDC or NIH web sits. But healthy weight is only part of recovery, as I'm sure you know. I hope you're working on the other aspects, from good nutrition to the mental side of EDs and monitoring for anorexia sequalae.
Avatar f tn I've been having such a hard time maintaining a healthy weight gain throughout my pregnancy.. I weighed 116 pre-prengnancy and the last time I went to the doctor I weighed 141!!!
743476 tn?1236614823 When you have low bloodsugars, the food you eat can easily go to weight gain. I weighted between 130-145 thru highschool, not skinny but kinda round. Little things like "loving Diet Pepsi" or "not liking icing on cake" can help. I'm a teacher at a highschool and I have several students who "share" my stash of diet drinks or granola bars for lows. Ask your favorite teacher who has type 2 on the staff. Even better, they usually have a refridgerator.
Avatar f tn Its not about how much you eat its about what you eat..you need to eat foods that are substantial not junk food or fast foods those will only give you fats and unhealthy nutrients...you should eat full meals that consist of all the food groups to make sure your getting all the nutrition you and your baby need...don't be so worried about weight gain as some people don't gain or gain very little ...
Avatar f tn How much weight are you initially suppose to gain during pregnancy? My starting weight bfore pregnancy was 130lbs. The nutrition lady informed me that I was already overweight & I need to slow down on eating. I'm barley 31weeks. Can anyone help?
Avatar n tn ve noticed other can smoke and maintain theirs...how can I gain a massive amount of weight in a short period of time without quitting??
Avatar f tn I was also very sick with my 3rd, which caused me to gain a lot of extra weight from my steriod treatments (asthma). Eat well, exercise under your doctor's suerpervison and you'll be fine.
Avatar n tn Calories are not the major factor in weight gain or loss. Some high calorie foods are great for weight, such as fatty fish. The biggest factor is how you metabolize what you eat into sugar and how well you digest what you eat. I don't think any calorie calculator will help you lose weight, but basically, if you increase the output of energy you will probably lose weight. If you cut down on the amount you eat without eliminating the healthy foods you will probably lose weight. Slowly.
Avatar n tn I'm desperately trying to gain weight. I'm 5'7 130 lbs & I do light weight training 2x a week. I have a high metabolism Please help.
Avatar f tn I lost weight, too. I didn't gain any weight until 18 weeks but the baby was doing just fine. Don't worry. The doctor said that it was okay.
Avatar f tn I just noticed at my last appointment that I haven't gained any weight in about 4 weeks. My docotor said she wasn't concerned yet but will be if I don't gain by my next appointment. I am 34 weeks. From 30 weeks to current I have not gained or lost any weight. Has anyone else experinced this? I am ftm so I just don't know what is normal and what isn't. And how do you gain more weight when you already are eating the recommended amount of calories?
Avatar f tn if you go to Mayo clinic online they have a calorie calculator. you can put in you height weight and level of daily activity, plus weither your looking to gain, lose, or maintain your current weight. And it will calculate how much calories you need to take in per day here is the link: http://www.mayoclinic.
