Avatar f tn Hi I been working out for 2 weeks have not lost 1 pound??
Avatar f tn s not a magic pill, I am eating way less than before and better but just not losing weight. I know some people get an actual list of foods to eat from their doctor but all I was told was to eat my normal food just less of it. I work out 6days a week something I didn't do 2months ago and still not losing weight with exercise either. If anybody knows of something else I could do or try please let me know.
1286518 tn?1271857815 I started to working out about 6 weeks ago. I am 6' tall, my start weight was around 200 and I am now around 193-194. Some days I feel slim and some days I feel extremely chubby. For the past 6 weeks I have been consistantly working out 5-6 days a week. I do about 30 minutes of cardio and circuit train in the weight room. I started out using P90x as a boot camp but am doing my own thing now.
Avatar f tn What can I do to lose weight if nothing seems to be working for me? I started taking the phen pill 37.5mg and a B12shot two weeks ago, my doctor only gave me a 30day supply since he said its more for obese people than overweight people. Im 28yrs old, 5'3" and started the pill at 150lbs, the first week I went down to 145.1 by the second week I went back up to 146.3 does anyone know why im gaining?
Avatar n tn I am a 27 year old female, healthy overall. I started working out again (off for about a year) I never gained weight from not execising. Now working out about 4-5 times a week. I 've been working out for a solid month and not one once. I weigh myself the same time with the same clothes on. I have been having some GI issues lately, so I don't know if that is contributing or not, I thought I would lose weight having loose stools for a week, but still nothing.
Avatar n tn I am 5 4, 35 years old. I am about 70lbs overweight. I started working out and really watching what I eat a month ago. I have been doing an hr 6 days a week. 30 min cardio and 30 weights. I dont see any real progress and the scale is not moving much just a few pounds. What is going on ? Any answers would be really helpful.
Avatar m tn Man! I was about to post the same thing! I'm almost 50, 5'4" and began attempting to lose weight about 5 weeks ago. When I started, I weighed 140.7lbs. (For the past year or two, I haven't worked out and have eaten whatever I wanted...although still pretty healthy overall, and I've always stayed in the 140.7-145 range.) (About me: I never weighed over 100lbs 'til my 30s. I never exercised and ate whatever I wanted, although I did lead an active lifestyle.
Avatar f tn If all you care about is losing weight then running should be your main priority. I hate running, as do most people, but it is worth it. If you can, pick an alright time of day, I usually run before bed or when I am at the gym. You pick a reasonable distance, and run it as much as you can, with walks in between. Eventually you will notice you can run the entire distance, and you may add laps. Try to do this every day, but you may need to add breaks in between.
559862 tn?1311516637 Were any of you ladies working out rigorously prior to becoming pregnant and how long did you continue working out??? I also lift weights about once a week and wondered if anyone on here has had experience with lifting while pregnant. From what I've found (of course always ask your doc) that you can continue lifting just not your max and as you get farther in your pregnancy cut the weight in half?!?! Thanks in advance for any replies! p.s.
Avatar n tn Well first let me say im no expert here ...but i see a few things. 1. you're doing wieght training so you're likely adding muscle while burning fat..muscle weighs more than fat so i would suggest you ignore the scale for a bit. 2. you might try doing weigth training only 2 or 3 days a week to stay toned and add a bit to the cardio.. 3.you may not be eating enough ..
Avatar f tn So before I found out I was pregnant I was in the process of losing weight and exercising daily. I had just finished one program and had started turbo fire and I'm wondering if it's safe to still do? Doctor won't see me until I'm 10 weeks so I can't ask for advice from them until then. Thanks in advance!
172023 tn?1334672284 Its a hot topic amongst dieters. What to eat before you work out, IF you should eat before you work out, what should you eat after, and how much should you eat? There are a couple schools of thoughts on this. One camp holds that you should not eat prior to exercising heavily, that it diverts some of the much needed blood flow from your muscles and takes it to the stomach, to aid in the digestive process.
Avatar f tn It's possible that if you're exercising, your body could be getting smaller, even if the scale isn't moving. I have to clarify CRSeaside's comment.... muscle doesn't really weigh more than fat. A pound is a pound, no matter what it's made of. I, typically, compare muscle and fat, with rocks and feathers. The molecules of a rock are packed so densely, that a 1 pound rock is usually not going to be very large.
172023 tn?1334672284 The purpose of exercise should NOT be about losing weight. Its essential to our bodies that we exercise to maintain our cardiovascular health, first and foremost. There are other reasons to exercise, great reasons, but simply to exercise thinking "Oh, I'll lose weight" should be erased from your mind. Do it to feel better, not to get into a smaller size pair of jeans.
Avatar n tn I did crossfire and my doc told me no weights till after the 14 week mark and then talk to my coach about pregnancy and training lighter weights to keep pregnancy safe. So coach said I can train with empty bar which would be a 15th bar but not till I'm passed 14 weeks.
676912 tn?1332812551 What's ok/not ok to do while BFing? I really would like to start losing all this extra weight, I want to drop 40 lbs. I know it'll take a while, and I'm gonna start a workout routine when I get my ab rocker, BUT I don't know what's ok. I don't want anything I do to affect being able to BF. I'd rather be overweight and BF than be back in my "skinny" jeans. I'm trying to start eating healthier (as I eat pizza, lol), but how much should I be eating a day?
4202320 tn?1366272200 However, im feeling physically active once i started doing work out. Just wanted to know the reason for negligible reduction in weight even after going to gym regularly.
Avatar n tn (people are saying maybe the weights are gaining muscle) I lose about 400 calories on the Skiing machine machine (to work both arms and lose weight), it says in about 35 minutes. sometimes I lose 500 in 42 minutes. Why am I not losing any weight? In fact I gained 3 lbs. Do I need to cut out weights completely? Do I need to go to the gym 5 days a week and do more cardio? I ate very few carbs for many years. I have just now started eating a few because evreyone says I should.
Avatar n tn I really want to start working out. For instance, walking more, squats, etc.. I knoe those are okay. But how do you moms feel about weight lifting? NOTHING heavy. 10 lbs & smaller with lots of repetition to tone my arms.
4779253 tn?1359063555 As long as u eat right (not for two!) And exercise moderately you will come out shinning. Its not hard. A lot of times the baby will keep u from gaining weight.
1293887 tn?1332702847 I went back to my original weight without doing nothing!!!! I eat inn n out, pizza, doughnuts etc. Don't know how I did it! My hips did get a lil wider though.
