Another good source of iron is iron enriched cereals, it will state on the packaging if it's enriched. Eating foods high in the nutrient you require is a much safer and natural way to absorb it into the body. Our bodies don't always like a pill containing single substances.

Anyways, try low doses of niacin, turmeric, green tea, healthy foods, any kind of antioxidants you can get, bromelin, (pineapple too!) and some collagen supplements to help aid in repairing the skin. If you're terrified of the niacin you can try all that w/o it, the turmeric will help slot on it's own, but better combined. Anyways, goodluck!

Avatar f tn Try cutting down on proteins and breads (still eat them, healthy nutrition is vital at this point), but eat more fiber enriched foods. For me, Fiber one meal bars really helped get things moving in my tummy, and got rid of the gas and bloating. I hope that helps!

Avatar f tn I have a lot of pressure down there so it hurts if I have to do any extra pushing. Make sure also ur drinking lots of water and fiber enriched foods. Bran cereals, fruits, veggies, etc. I can tell when I haven't had enough fiber.

Avatar f tn The doc will put u on iron pills and tell u to eat iron enriched foods. The pills should help if ur energy is low. My doc told me Anemia doesnt really affect the baby but more mom. Baby gets all thats needed.
