A topical antibiotic cream, mupirocin (Bactroban®), has been effective at reducing bacterial colonization in the nostrils. It is applied twice daily for a week and is repeated every 6 months.

Ive had a red postule that is maybe half a centimeter in diameter for three months now in my pubic area. I originally thought that it was just an ingrown hair but i could never fish out any hair, ive tried to find any hair and there is nothing there. Also, it fills up with pus. It hasn't really gotten any bigger and it is the only one that i have. It doesn't hurt too much unless it rubs against something hard or i pop it.

I'm from Hyderabad, India. I've got this unusual rash (not prickly heat rash) just between my nose and upper lip. I usually get it like once in a year or two when my body is overheated (not overheated in the literal meaning but due to working overtime and getting very little rest) Once i get it, its very uncomfortable, itchy and it keeps spreading if untreated. Rash develops into pus cells or water buds that are ready to explode upon little pressure.
Accidentally, I sprayed mupirocin/Dextamethasone 5GM/45ML/0.1%, a compounded nasal preparation, in my eye. I rinsed the eye with water for about one minute. Eye has had 5 retina surgeries, has band kerapothy, and no lens. PCC told me it's ok because the mupirocin is also used for eye preparations. Correct?

Hello everyone, I've had a redness on my cheek for over a month now. It was originally identified as staph and treated with Mupirocin and Clobetasol by my Dr. Unfortunately 2 weeks of use has done nothing. I haven't been able to see her again so I figured I'd post here. I have a feeling this could be fungal, but am not sure. As you can see in the pic, it is a red irritation and slightly raised. It has shown only minor response to both clobetasol and mupirocin.

You should not tear open the scars and just apply some mupirocin cream followed by creams containing vitamin E for the scarring. The white scar could be due to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

I was prescribed Mupirocin for a non-healing nasal ulcer. I used it for about 2 days then woke up with a bad headache today from the get go. I've tried everything I can. I have taken Tylenol TWICE, Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen in it, nasal spray, a Breathe Right nasal strip (since I do have severe sinus problems.) NOTHING has worked or given any relief.
) use it on your bellies to keep from getting stretch marks,, shine wood floors and furniture:) put some on your hair ends and blow dry them to keep your ends from splitting:) take off make up..any others you have heard of?
m begging for a diagnosis and an effective treatment if somone out there has a clue as to what I can do to help what seems like a curable yet stubborn problem.

Doctor , i feel very shy to show these areas to male doctor and the female doctors here are not very good .. please , if you think you reach any conclusion about my condition i will be very grateful to you ... there is very severe itching and sometimes the underarms turn into rash ... ve read about HPV describes the genital warts differently. I recently shaved my pubic area/scrotum but I have done that for years, although not as frequently in the past year (and I don't shave my thighs).
I'm not sure if this is an STD, folliculitis, cysts or something else? Please Help.

Back in August I had a lesion in the same spot and tested negative. They gave me a shot and mupirocin to put on sore along with pills to take and it Went away just fine.. this time I did not get a shot but I did get mupirocin and a different set of pills but lesion is still there after almost two weeks.. any way that this is not herpes . At since I tested negative months ago for all std and tested negative again last week.
He gave me a steroid (nebulized) to decrease the internal swelling and I am about to start trying mupirocin (nebulized) for 3 weeks to see if that helps. I do have my doubts if this will work (mupirocin precisely). I have "klebsiella ozaenea" infection and I was under the impression mupirocin is effective on gram positive bacteria and the Ozaenea is a gram negative bacteria. I wanted to ask if any doctors on here can tell me if this is a good try.
Sometime within the next week, I recall one instance of my scrotum being very itchy. Later that week (August 7th) I left for a vacation which included bathing in the ocean, lounging in a wet swimsuit, sweating in wet swimsuit, etc. By the 10th or 11th I noticed the bumps in my groin were gone and now looked like 4 ulcers, two one each side of my groin crease symmetrical to each other. I also noticed maybe 5 small ulcers on the left side of my scrotum.
I had a severe scraching sensation on by buttock for about 2 weeks following which an abcess appeard on the right buttock. It was treated and cured with antibiotic for 8 days. After few days another relatively small abcess appeared on my left cheek (a large pimple), which was subsequently drained by myself applying antiseptic cream (which ws prescribed by my physician earlier).
