Avatar f tn dont bite on the tube, what a headache I had after my second child as I clenched my teeth round it so hard. I tried my best not to do it this time and didnt get the headache. Its great stuff for a natural labour, but it does make some people feel sick.
Avatar n tn Again she goes to the ER where they gave her morphine ( she is allergic to nsaid), triptane and benadryl, and told her is sinusitis. Te pain continues to this day, currently the vision of right eye has now dimished. Doctors keeps saying its stress. The pain is fixed on right parietal region, occasionally radiated to jaw. Optic nerve OCT is ok, visual fields with central visual field constriction, diplopia on downward gaze. C reactive protein normal, globular sedimentation rate normal.

Avatar n tn Right now i am only taking Relpax for migraines. I have a headache almost everyday of the week and a migraine 2-3 times per month. I only take the Relpax during my migraines and may take tylenol, ibuprofen, or excedrin for my headace without any relief. My MD had spoken with me about taking medicine daily to prevent the occurence of my migraines. I really do not want to take another daily med because I want to have a baby in the next couple of years.
Avatar n tn My mother is experiencing excruciating pain in the back of her head (screaming and such). She is always in pain, but never to this degree. She has recently started to wean off morphine and other pain meds that had been prescribed to her, because they weren't helping and such a large number of pain medications get to be dangerous. She has been going to pain management for two years or so at this point, but I don't recall the pain ever reaching this point.
1468090 tn?1289093410 Morphine is natoriuos for causing headaches. Levequin is a very strong fast acting antibiotic and usually causes upset atomaches if anything. And phenergan is an antiemetic to stop vomiting. I would say the morphine on top of little sleep plus chiaru would explain the head. I ask for dilaudid as it is one of the few narcotics that don't cause more headaches. This makes me look drug seeking but hey I know myself well enough to not won't more pain from pain relief meds.......
Avatar n tn Hydromorphone will not cause stomach upset, nausea or vomiting like morphine does for some people. If you get a prescription for an opiate medication, you may find that you need much less than you do at the hospital since you are able to take it before the pain gets out of control. When given by IV at a hospital, many people find that they usually just go to sleep after being given an opiate. Some people feel uneasy or even dizzy.
Avatar f tn Hello, and thank you for your reply. I have received IV morphine on many occasions without incident, but have never received IV Benadryl. Thankfully my throat didn't actually close, though having that feeling is one I'll never forget. I went to the ER with a severe headache, which involved near fainting and confusion. I can see being given Morphine, but what reason would I be given an IV mix of Morphine and Benadryl? Thank you.
Avatar f tn SHe went in with blood pressure of 212/139. SHe had severe headache. They have been doing nothing but giving her morphine for the pain and knocking her out. No tests other than normal bloodwork (cbc) her BP drops slightly when the morphine hits but then comes right back up within a matter of minutes. WE are worried that it could be caused be a neurological issue. Has anyone ever had these sysptoms or have any advice? Amything would be appreciated right now, we are worried sick about her.

Avatar n tn Swelling of the face is often a symptom of an allergic reaction. Morphine is sometimes taken for migraine headaches and swelling of the face is a common symptom of a morphine allergy. Your face could swell as a reaction to a number of other medications if you were allergic to them as well. If you have taken any medication recently I would strongly suggest you go to the emergency department as you may be having an allergic reaction to a medication.

Avatar f tn Pain pills sometimes dull the pain but nothing can make it go away, not even morphine. I have been for every test and scan and they cant find anything. i have tried so many different combinations of medications, none of which helped. About 6 months ago i was in a car accident. Since then i have had neck pain everyday as well. My neurologist did all the scans again and only found slight arthritis in my neck. I was in hospital on a drip with about 3 or 4 different meds.
Avatar m tn I have had to have 2 back surgeries, (one failed) and now have a bone graft with 6 screws for a L4-5 rupture of the disks. I took a 30mg morphine timed release every am and sometimes again at night, hate the way they make me feel. Perc for break thru pain, up to 8 some days. dosage was 2 every 4hrs. Day before yesterday I took the morphine and no perc, went to work and just dealt with the pain, I thought the runs were something I ate duh...
Avatar f tn I was recently perscribed morphine for my fibromyalgia and spurs on my spine. My question is does the morphine make you really nauseated and throw up. The last few days the side effects have slowed down, but I would still like to hear some suggestions from people in the forum.
628981 tn?1260555203 I had to take advil or other over the counter pills for headache, body ache, backache etc. It is normal for our bodies to take time to adjust to working without the buzz of opiates. I still don't have the super energy I got from my hydro buzz but I know it wasn't a lasting energy. I have a steady energy now not super energy. You will feel better each day. The first 90 days we go through alot of feelings mental and phsyical. Its all a part of adjusting to being clean.
Avatar f tn I have had a horrible headache for 2 weeks now. I have had ct scans and blood work done and it comes up fine. They keep trying these other medications on me nothing works. Sometimes dilaudid doesnt even get rid of the headache. I am seeing a new neurologist wednesday and I want him to hear me! What do you do when you get such a bad chiari headache morphine doesnt even help?
Avatar f tn I have lived with & paid for my pain many years on my Right upper quad....became a Vegetatarian and the later as close to a Vegan I coud be. Last week ended up in the ER with severe paid, nausea vomiting and headache....I soon passed out, I went to the Doc's office who sent me over for a CCK Hida scan that couldn't be set up until the following Firday. After a week of feeling like poo most days I went in for the test, My Right side was killimg me....
Avatar m tn Your point of view is shared by several others. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epidural_steroid_injection, steroids are not FDA approved for epidural administration. That would cause me concern. However, many people claim to be helped. Your "15mg morphine" may be just fine for you (your doctor wouldn't give it to you if he didn't concur). However, the problem is that 15mg may become 20mg, 20 becomes 40 etc. It's all about risk vs reward.
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm being treated for low back pain(spinal stenosis). I was sent to pain management office last June. I was started on 50MG of tramanol hcl 2x daily. In July I was given 15 MG morphine sulf IR twice a day. I got spinal shots twice and PT. I improved but was still in pain. In September they added 15MG morphine sulf ER twice a day. I got another spinal shot in December. The pain changed from running down my leg to just being in my lower pain and butt cheek.
