There should be a paper attached to your prescription that gives you a list of normal and abnormal side effects
When I was 11 weeks I was diagnosed with the same thing and prescribed metrogel as well. Same directions, it definitely felt weird but it cleared mine up and I had no side effects. Just feels really odd, and it has to stay in there. The only thing I'd say was bad was the morning after there'd be a lot of mucus come out, keep panty liners on hand for sure and good luck!
The doctor now prescribed Doxycyline for 1 month and Metrogel 1%. There has been improvement, but very slowly with 2 flare ups so far. It has been two weeks since I stopped the steroid completely.
Will it ever go away? Will my skin return to the way it was before the steroid use? (I never had rosacea before)

Hi everyone...Recently I have been having several problems with the skin on my face. Up until about a year ago I had absolutely flawless skin. I'm 22 years old and live in Florida and used to go tanning alot but stopped about a year and a half ago. It started when I went on the birth control-nuva ring for ovarian cysts about 5 months ago and recently changed to yaz and have seen no difference.
I too am on 175 - 200mg of Zoloft and I admit when first starting the medication I was feeling quite dizzy and nauseated. Dosage started at 50mg, then after a week increased, and every week increased until I reached 175mg. In the past my doctor has had me on Celexa and Effexor but Zoloft seems to work the best, for me that is. Everyone is different. I waver between 175 - 200mg depending on the kind of day I'm having.
You can start with a mild steroid cream like 1% hydrocortisone but don’t’ use it for a long period of time because topical use of steroids is often associated with side effects like telangiectasia, thinning of skin, skin atrophy or redness. Use high potency steroids only after consulting a dermatologist.
You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. For the itching take some antihistaminic like Benadryl.
My friend just quit taking Chantix due to the inability to handle the side effects. She has noticed that since quitting the Chantix alcohol has effected her differently. While on the Chantix she noticed the effects of alcohol tokk in quite quickly where now she seems to have a tolerance that was not there before. Is it possible that theh Chantix caused her intolerabilty to alcohol?
Hi, I have had Rosacea for a number of years. I don't know what Type it is but it is red pimples on my cheeks, occasional white heads but these are rare,and nose and Telangiectasia on my chin. I have been treated with Topical Finacea 15%. It has helped for a long time. But lately I am getting a lot more small pimples and peeling skin. I put Cetaphil Eczema calming cream on my face before putting on the Finacea and that has helped with the redness. But my skin still has been peeling.

s finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?
Yeah it's not a good idea to drink with psych meds in your system. The effects of the alcohol and side effects of the pills get intensified. Even when I was on a low dose of Geodon I drank a shot in a tall glass and it caused me to feel like I was having symptoms of hyperglycemia and I had to urinate every 30 seconds or so.
Was diognosed with urea plasma and bacterial vaginosis the bv cleared on it's own and is gone confirmed 2 times by doctor.I was given metrogel I used 1 dose and had difficulty breathing headache and tremors.so the doc said stop med.Then went to see a gyno specialist and she said same bv and she removed a polyp from cervix it was benign she also told me I tested positive for urea plasma all my other std test are negative.HIv neg.no chlamydia,gonorrhea, trichomonosis all negative.
Have seen two dermatologists so far but the condition did not improve. He was given topical metrogel 1% which did not work and the 2nd dermatologist put him on antibiotics for 3 months! nothing worked and wondering what other options he has.
alcohol should never be stopped suddenly unless under a supervised setting due to the many side effects with stopping Some are good with a taper removing 1 drink every so many days to lower the risk of seizures/hallucinations.. we have a forum dedicated to getting off the alcohol You may want to check it out.. Muscle stiffness of any kind can be a part of extra pyramidal side effects (temporary movement disorders) which can occur with any antipsychotic and can be treated with a side effect pill. Confusion and especially sedation are not uncommon and that's why I would agree with the other posters that it is best to take Seroquel right before going to sleep but you could speak to your psychiatrist about all this.
