metrogel

Avatar f tn When I was 11 weeks I was diagnosed with the same thing and prescribed metrogel as well. Same directions, it definitely felt weird but it cleared mine up and I had no side effects. Just feels really odd, and it has to stay in there. The only thing I'd say was bad was the morning after there'd be a lot of mucus come out, keep panty liners on hand for sure and good luck!
Avatar m tn I was tested positive for HIV this February. I have been an occasional user of MDMA via syringe. I tested negative for Hepatitis B and C. During the first week of June, I suddenly came down with a fever which wouldn't go away. Later the doctors found a lesion on my liver, for which I was treated with Metronidazole (Metrogel) injections, and later metrogel tablets. Recent CT scan shows "a cystic lesion on the liver, measuring 4x3.5 cms with a smooth enhancing wall seen in segment IV.
Avatar f tn Have seen two dermatologists so far but the condition did not improve. He was given topical metrogel 1% which did not work and the 2nd dermatologist put him on antibiotics for 3 months! nothing worked and wondering what other options he has.
Avatar f tn The rash may also recur and may be exacerbated by particular triggers like smoke, alcohol and spicy food. Stress is also implicated in rosacea. I suggest you discontinue other cream and lotions as these may aggravate the condition. Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory condition and may benefit from oral antibiotics.
Avatar f tn The doctor now prescribed Doxycyline for 1 month and Metrogel 1%. There has been improvement, but very slowly with 2 flare ups so far. It has been two weeks since I stopped the steroid completely. Will it ever go away? Will my skin return to the way it was before the steroid use? (I never had rosacea before) Thank you in advance.
Avatar f tn s finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?
Avatar f tn It would go away and come back, not sure what it was. I did so much research online and I believe I have steriod induced periocular dermatitis. I went to my doctor and he was totally uninformed about it. My doctor perscribed me Metrogel 0.75. I have been using it since Jan 18th 2010 (last month). For the most part I have been clear, however I still see some LIGHT red areas like they are fading away. Have I not used it long enough?
Avatar f tn I do use Metrogel for Roseacea and when out of town for a wedding and had to share a bathroom with 9 people, rushed and forgot and put Metrogel on the area under my nose (never done that before) and might have gotten some on my lip in that area. That's been 2 weeks, tho. I was in the sun 3 of those days ..... I tried a search and came up with basal cell carcinoma and saw several places that said the lip is a VERY DANGEROUS spot to have BCC. That terrified me.
Avatar f tn I have a yeast infection might start my period soon and im on Fluconazole and metronidazole (2 pills 72 hours apart and metrogel for 5 days once every bed time) yesterday was my first day on pill and gel and today i notiched like this blood like little clumps nothing like discharge i want to know if its normal ?
Avatar m tn Hi, I haver never had a problem with any type of facial flushing, redness, or skin feeling hot. A couple months ago my father was hospitalized and this is were it seemed to all start. I always had a problem with psoriasis on my knee's and elbows and I don't know if this is a form of it but I did get little plaques on my face that are gone now but the redness is still there. It is on my cheeks and one side is always worse then the other.
Avatar f tn Thankyou ladies ill ask about that metrogel, when i asked my midwive if there was anything else i could use she told me no, hopefully she'll perscribe it to me.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with a bladder infection and a vaginal infection. I assume its bacterial vaginosis because my doctor prescribed Bactrim and Metrogel. But because I have Raynaud's Syndrome, I can't use Metrogel. So my doctor has now prescribed Cipro. But how would either one help with the vaginosis? And as for the bladder infection, couldn't I just take one because they both treat UTIs?
Avatar f tn it's better to take it and avoid alcohol . the longer you don't treat your bv, the harder it is to get rid of and the more miserable you feel. also don't have any sex while you are taking it either - bv increases your risk of acquiring a std if you don't have a partner who's std status you are aware of. fyi - you try to drink alcohol while on the medication, you will end up in the ER. it makes you extremely ill. you can treat bv while you have your period.
Avatar f tn s own and is gone confirmed 2 times by doctor.I was given metrogel I used 1 dose and had difficulty breathing headache and tremors.so the doc said stop med. Then went to see a gyno specialist and she said same bv and she removed a polyp from cervix it was benign she also told me I tested positive for urea plasma all my other std test are negative.HIv neg.no chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonosis all negative.she prescribed metrogel and doxycycline I tried the metro gel was taken off.
Avatar f tn My doctor has given me metrogel and said it could be rosacea, but the redness has increased since using it and i now flush every single time i eat. But another doctor has said it looks like mild acne due to the amount of blackheads and clogged pores i have. Can skin become inflamed from too many clogged pores? And if so does food aggravate it the same as it would with rosacea? I'm just confused and wish i had a definate diagnosis.
Avatar f tn Hello, You can use metrogel during daytime and antifungal pe4ssaries during night.
Avatar f tn t yet known as to whether or not it was caused by steroid use or allergy. I am using Metrogel and he wanted me to use Oracea pills as well but I may be allergy to Tetracycline so I'm just using the Metrogel 1% topical. It is too soon to know if it is working but it seems to be. Does Rosacea cause itching usually? Is the peri-oral dermatitis a broad term that can include rosacea? I wanted to thank you for urging me to see a dermatologist. I think it is good that I did.
Avatar f tn Yes, I am taking Orecea and using metrogel. I believe that I got dermatitis from scrubing too hard and now there is nothing that takes it away. My rash does not go away it is permanent I feel like I burned my face and now what I have are the scars. It is horrible it doesn't itch like dermatitis suppose to do so or encezema but it does burn. The only thing that takes it away but when I stop using it for a week it comes back is ELIDEL. I guess my face got disfigured and I have no hope.
Avatar n tn I have, over the past few years, gradually gotten a redder and redder face. I have many little veins, like a spider web under my skin, especially on my cheeks. My family practice doctor has prescribed metrogel for rosacea. After reading about rosacea, I am thinking it might not be rosacea. I do not have any rash or bumps, just little veins filled with blood. I am a male in my early 50s, I do not drink alcohol or smoke. I drink only one cup of coffee a day.
Avatar n tn I abstained from having sex for just over a week to allow the infection to clear up, when I did have sex I experienced the burning and tears so I went to my Dr and was told I had alot of yeast and she gave me Terconazole cream. A few days later when my results were in, my Dr told me along with yeast I had gardnerella bacteria (Bacterial Vaginosis) so after 3 days of Terconazole I was switched to metrogel for 5 nights.
Avatar f tn Also, she was on Metrogel and she was allergic to it and it gave her second degree burns. She has healed from that but wonders if there are any prolonged affects of a problem like that. Lastly, she was on a steroid (diprolene) for years for the face (lupus). After the bad burns from the Metrogel, and it healed the dermatologist took her off of the steroid cold turkey and said to just use certain creams until the breakouts from the steroid went away.
Avatar n tn I have been treated in the past with dry ice treatmtents. Recently I have been prescribed Minocin, and Metrogel. The metrogel seems to burn my skin. Does laser work for Rosacea? It is $1,800 for the treatment. I am 54 years old and recently had my thyroid removed due to cancer. Could my Synthroid meds be aggravating this condition. Could these blisters be facial herpes, shingles. I have had this for about 6 months. I can't get into a dermatologist until September. Help!
Avatar f tn Hi I'm very depressed and I don't know what to do any more because, I have a foul vaginal odor that is affecting my life in a major way.
Avatar f tn Hi guys so I just went to the restroom and had a lot of discharge and inside the discharge there was very little blood but it looked like it was kinda veiny. Like brownish reddish veins. It wasn't all over. I don't have any cramping or anything like that but I'm a little conserned. I took metrogel for the first time last night bcuz I have a bacteria. Idk if it's just cleaning it out or wat it could be.
7757724 tn?1396279586 Anyone use it? Did it get rid of the BV and was the baby okay? Im a bit worried about side effects since it does cross thr placenta.
Avatar f tn I took metrogel vaginally for bv at 31 weeks. Everything went fine and it cleared it up.
Avatar n tn No temporary cure the best is the latest Clindesse 2% vaginal cream, single dose x 1 and that's it. Other options metrogel x 5 days, or po flagyl.
Avatar f tn However, I have noticed in recent months that, when I have a need for a healing ointment, and use Neosporin, the wound, scrape, cut or whatever does not heal and the skin around it becomes inflamed. I've seen posts that if you are allergic to Neosporin you should not get the shingles vaccine. Is the reverse ever seen? Does the shingles vaccine CAUSE one to develop a reaction to Neosporin???
Avatar f tn m 8 weeks I recently went to the doctors and found out I have a bacteria and the dr prescribed me metrogel vaginal. Have any of you guys taken or are are taking this medication? Have you ever experienced any side effects? Any information helps.
