I've been using metrogel for a few months now for a place on my cheek. It's finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?

My doctor perscribed me Metrogel 0.75. I have been using it since Jan 18th 2010 (last month). For the most part I have been clear, however I still see some LIGHT red areas like they are fading away. Have I not used it long enough? BUT, I cleaned the house yesterday, and now today I have a larger red area in the corner of my eye..probably from sweating? My doctor reccommended I take Doxycycline 100mg, accept I took two pills and had total stomach pain -with or without food! My question is.

The NP precribed metrogel for 5 days at bedtime. I havent found the courage to take it yet, because its inserted vaginally. The warning states its a category B and can be passed through the placenta. Has anyone else taken metrogel during their pregnancy? If so wad everything ok?

When I get out of the shower or overheated, I have a pink spot on the skin just above my upper lip, touching the lip line. It's approx. 2 cm long by 1/4th cm high. There's also a tingling sensation at times. Hi everyone...Recently I have been having several problems with the skin on my face. Up until about a year ago I had absolutely flawless skin. Also, she was on Metrogel and she was allergic to it and it gave her second degree burns. She has healed from that but wonders if there are any prolonged affects of a problem like that. Lastly, she was on a steroid (diprolene) for years for the face (lupus). After the bad burns from the Metrogel, and it healed the dermatologist took her off of the steroid cold turkey and said to just use certain creams until the breakouts from the steroid went away.

I have been treated in the past with dry ice treatmtents. Recently I have been prescribed Minocin, and Metrogel. The metrogel seems to burn my skin. Does laser work for Rosacea? m asking because I have recurrent bacterial vaginosis infections - i have tried metrogel, flagyll tindamax, clindesse, i have it again.. I bought plain yogurt and mixed it with acidophillous powder and inserting it using a metrogel applicator at night, I always wear a liner because of bv anyway, but there is a LOT of discharge. Am I doing this right? has anyone else had good results with this method? how long should it take for symptoms to go away.

After visiting a women’s health center (about two weeks ago) because of these symptoms, I was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis(BV), but the metrogel I was prescribed gave me a yeast infection. It also made my hands and feet feel tingly so I stopped it after 2 applications. The yeast infection went away with my period.

I was diagnosed with a bladder infection and a vaginal infection. I assume its bacterial vaginosis because my doctor prescribed Bactrim and Metrogel. But because I have Raynaud's Syndrome, I can't use Metrogel. So my doctor has now prescribed Cipro. But how would either one help with the vaginosis? And as for the bladder infection, couldn't I just take one because they both treat UTIs?

I am using Metrogel and he wanted me to use Oracea pills as well but I may be allergy to Tetracycline so I'm just using the Metrogel 1% topical. Have seen two dermatologists so far but the condition did not improve. He was given topical metrogel 1% which did not work and the 2nd dermatologist put him on antibiotics for 3 months! nothing worked and wondering what other options he has.

metrogel will leak out. it also will give you a discharge after a few days that is kind chunky and very unattractive. It also might cause some itching too with the discharge. Just rinse your genital area with lukewarm water as needed to remove the discharge and help with the irritation from the chunkies.

2 months ago I was diagnosed with my first ever yeast infection.
