Avatar n tn I used Clomid 100mg and prochieve 8% this month and I am on my 30th day and still no period. I've read that prochieve ( progesterone suppository) can delay your period. How long does is the delay? I'm thinking of stopping using it since my pg test was negative. Should I stop? Please help as I am very concern about prolonged use of prochieve.
Avatar f tn So, I'm 19 years old. I started my period in about June and it has only stop for about 4 to 5 days at a time but keeps returning. It is not a light flow either. I am having to change my tampon once an hour. (sorry TMI) I have gone to the doctor twice about this. The first time she ordered me to get blood work done. It came out and I'm perfectly healthy. She put me on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo (The pill) to help with it. Even that hasn't stopped it.
Avatar n tn Heather, Thanks for noting the chance of Von Willebrand's Disease. I never heard of it until my teenage daughter started her period and it just didn't stop. She was tested for EVERYTHING under the sun including Ultrasounds, bloodwork etc.. She was also tested for Von Willebrand's and was negative but for it as well. We to this day have NO idea why she has this problem. She has been on a number of different hormone therapies which have to be changes every few months when they stop working.
Avatar n tn My Gynocologist said to call him in the middle of February if I haven't started my period by then. He also told me to wait until my first period before trying to conceive again. I too have had period like symptoms, but no bleeding yet. Hopefully I start my period soon. Hope this helps and sorry for your loss.
Avatar f tn I am on Medroxyprogesterone (Provera) right now today is my last and my period hasn't started. I've been reading it will probably be after I stop taking & also my doctor prescribed clomid for when my period started. But I want to know does it help you get pregnant in the first trial or is it until several times ? Please help me am really anxious to have a baby but I really don't know how fast this treatment will be. I just don't want to get my hopes to high.
Avatar n tn It was probably six or seven months with no period. The dr prescribed medroxyprogesterone to jump start my period again. They say they dont like you to go more than six months without a period simply because its good for your uterus to shed its lining and clean itself out. The medication did work but had some side effects for me. Years later, when I was a newly wed my periods stopped once again.
Avatar m tn How long after taking my 10 day dose of medroxypr ac 10mg tab do I start my birth control pills again? Do I need to wait until my period ends?
143868 tn?1263932445 I dont if its implantation bleeding because its too soon for me to have another period my period isnt supposed to be her until the 28 of july
Avatar n tn ) 6 months to figure out why you haven't had a period is far too long. I went 16 months without a period and my doctor freaked out when she found out (I recently changed doctors). Cysts can make you irregular, as can thyroid conditions. I'm sure there are other reasons. I know that when it would go for extended periods of time, I would take test after test after test and they would always be negative......
Avatar f tn It all depends on when you ovulate. How long are your cycles, and how many days do you usually have your period?
Avatar n tn They are putting me on this to induce a period. Has anyone ever taken this before? How long does it take for your period to come? I have six pills one per day. Also, any successful pregnancies soon after this drug was taken? Thanks!
Avatar f tn I have pcos and I dont get my period unless I am on some type of medication. My doctor started me in medroxyprogesterone to induce my period then clomid for ovulation today is my last day on it. Just wondering how many women actually get pregnant from this and how long it took. Im pretty new to all this so any helpful insight would be greatly appreciated!
Avatar f tn Hi I Had my last period on April 8 and around May 8 i was having a feeling that my periods were coming but they didn't and my doctor told me around May 5th that my progesterone level is high so i should be getting period any day but i didn't so on wed i started Medroxyprogesterone and i have taken 4 dose of 10mg and still no period but i keep having the feeling that i will get it but not as strong as May 8 and today is May 16 and still no period and clear discharge just like before or after per
Avatar n tn Its been almost 5 days since I took my last Provera pill and still no period. For those of you that have taken Provera- how long did it take for your periods to start? I am starting to worry so I took a pregancy test and there was an EVER SO SLIGHT second line. It really depended on how you held it up to the light though. I took another one immediately after and there was no second line.
1611503 tn?1325485790 Then my husband had to get a semen analysis and my cousin who also started it had to do so as well. Idk how long you've been trying but it can take couples up to two years to conceive, it took us 14 months. Clomid should only be used as a last resort before starting superovulation induction meds, ivf, or iui. Even then, it's not guaranteed to get you pregnant.
Avatar f tn One thing I would do because of the heavy bleeding and how long you've bled (plus just because your a thyroid patient) is go in and request a ferritin level check. Your ferritin can drop quickly and with that kind of blood loss you can become anemic. Symptoms are pretty much the same as hypo; hair loss, extreme fatigue, heart palps, etc. Also, I would do an Endometrial Ablation versus a hysterectomy.
Avatar n tn but the next month again i missed periods then my dr tolg me u just wait ur periods come regular becouse i am 21 years she said its happend,,,,,,,but i worry about my periods how long i waiting for my periods thats the way she give me provera again and she said to me after 3 months course u get ur periods regular ,,,, i am marriad, age 21yearold, i have one baby born in oct 2007 now he was 28 months old...............
Avatar f tn At that time I was put on birth control to regulate my cycles and to ease to the cramps during my menstrual cycles. I remained on the pill successfully only having one period a month, lasting 5 days long, normal bleeding, and minimal pain until 27 years old when my husband and I decided that we wanted to have children. During the time I was off the pill I started to experience the painful menstrual cycles again but for me the pain only really lasts a few hours and on the first day of my cycle.
Avatar f tn Ortho Progesterone 28's I started the Medroxyprogesterone and by the 8th out of 10 days, I finally stopped my period. It was amazing. I was happy and had energy. A dream come true for me. I have my ultrasound done and I told her all the symptoms I have and had have and told her that my doctor thought maybe I had PCOS. She straight up rejected that idea because "with PCOS women don't usually have their period at all.
Avatar n tn My doctor prescribed me Provera 10mg at the beginning of March. I 've taken them from th 13-26 and my period came on right after. I wanna know how long does it take you to ovulate, and how do you know when you're ovulating?
Avatar f tn That it, if what I thought was a period was actually part of the mc process. My Gyn is booked until June - that is the closest time I can get into to see them. I called and asked if he would talk on the phone and he wouldn't. I am healing well, and I don't want to jinx it but no bleeding for the past 3 days!!! I am curious to know about the period I thought I had, was it a period? or just a continuation of the mc?
Avatar f tn As I said earlier I was diagnosed with PCOS Last year and have been on Metformin for about 4 months now and was given medroxyprogesterone/provera to start my cycle just recently so that we could be begin our journey yet again. Well today AF showed up and I am very happy because I had not seen her for a while and also this means it's time for our journey to begin! My question(s) is/are 1. What was your TTC plan of attack (sorry I couldn't think of a another phrase or any other way to put it)?
Avatar n tn Andrea, Just read your post. How long have you been on BC pills? If it is recent, you may want to try a time off them to see if your heart rate improves (if you can change to another BC method). I do think there is some link to hormones and increased heart rate. Otherwise from what I've been reading here and in talking to my cardiologist, no one really know what starts IST. I'm still working on trying to find the right mix of meds to treat IST and my hypertension. It is taking a while.
158939 tn?1274918797 I realize that it has only been about 5 days but I guess not knowing how long the anxiety will last bothers me. After you were on a correct dose how long did it take for the high blood pressure, anxiety and high pulse go away? When should I think about asking the doc for another decrease? (I should have known the weight loss was too good to be true.
Avatar n tn I am still very frightened as I have never felt like this before in my life - I feel disconnected to the world around me and am very teary and feel depressed, but the next minute I feel fine again - could these mood swings be due to the implant or some residual stemetil drug reaction? I am too embarrased to talk to my GP about it. How long does it take for the synthetic progesterone to leave my body? I just want to feel normal again, the way I did before I had stemetil and the implanon.
Avatar n tn How is it that you can be 5 months pregnant and still have a "period"? Is that bad for the baby? I ask this because for the last 5 or so months I have had pregnancy symptoms similiar to what has been mentioned earlier. I also have taken test and they are all neg... even a blood test. Even though these tests are negative i don't have the peace of mine of knowing that i am not pregnant. I'm scheduled for an ultrasound in a week so hopefully my mind will be eased...
Avatar n tn wed 30th jan 07 i was prescribed a 5 day course of Medroxyprogesterone 10mg 3 times a day but that was just to bring on a period (it started today sooooo painful) as i havent had one since 2nd dec 2006 thats how i found out i have pcos. i feel silly i have pcos and don't fully understand it!!!
