2051102 tn?1330321233 THE DOCTOR TOLD ME TO START ON THE FIRST OF MARCH AND TAKE IT FOR 10 DAYS. MY NEXT SET OF MEDICATION IS TO START APRIL 1 FOR 10 DAYS. I WAS WONDERING IF AND WHILE I AM TAKING THIS MEDICATION WILL I START MY PERIOD OR WILL I START A FEW DAYS AFTER. I REALLY HOPE THESE PILLS WORK CAUSE I CANT STAND HAVING THESE LONG PERIODS. I'VE NEVER BEEN THROUGH THIS, SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.
Avatar f tn I tried Glucophage but that didn't work. It's been just over a year since my last period so my doctor prescribed Provera to start my period then Clomid. I took the Provera as prescribed for 10 days. It's been 6 days since I stopped and still no period. All of the information I've read says it should take 3-7 days so I haven't called my doctor yet. Has anyone else had this experience. I'm getting a bit worried that this is more serious than my doctor originally thought.
Avatar m tn My OB prescribed me Medroxyprogesterone and advised me to take it if I went longer than 3 months without a period. I took my first course of the meds in early April of 2016 and got my period right after my last dose. Had a period in May with no help, missed June and July so I Started my Medroxyprogesterone again in August and started my period later that same month. Missed September, but as of October and without needing the medroxyprogesterone I have been getting my period every month.
Avatar n tn If I get my period after this, do I start to ovulate normally again or is Provera just to induce your period and have nothing to do with ovulation?
Avatar n tn I continue to take the iron pills daily, however I stop taking the chasteberry when my period stops though continue to take the iron. So now whenever my period wont start or is continuous I will start up the chasteberry again. Check it out ladies! http://www.aafp.org/afp/20050901/821.
Avatar n tn i was told to start it on day 16 of my cycle and stop upon getting my period. i heard it delays the period so i asked my dr how do i know when to stop then? he told me take it and two days after period expected take a preg test, if negative stop it and the period shoudl come. i too, am wondering how long it will arrive in.
Avatar n tn I had a complete miscarriage on December 25, 2007, bled until January 1, 2008 and have yet to start my period. My Gynocologist said to call him in the middle of February if I haven't started my period by then. He also told me to wait until my first period before trying to conceive again. I too have had period like symptoms, but no bleeding yet. Hopefully I start my period soon. Hope this helps and sorry for your loss.
Avatar n tn I was on BC for almost 10 years and I went off BC in DEC 2007 because my husband and I decided we would start to try for a baby, I had my period like usually do at the end of the pack. I didn't have one in Jan 2008, but I figured it was because I had just come off the pill. I got my period in Feb so I figured there was no problem. I skipped my period in March and thought maybe I was pregnant, but took 2 tests and both were neg so I figured maybe I skipped it.
Avatar f tn see it started the 6 ended the 10th. calculating from the 11th to the 6th when my next period should start would make it 27 days.
Avatar n tn I was put on provera today to start my period to start birth control. I really want to get pregnant sooo.... instead of starting the birth control should i just do the provera and have sex all 5 days and try to conceive then take a pregnancy test. then if i get a negative just start the birth control. Because my doctor wants my uterus lining to be thinned out, which is the point for the birth control. but i want to to get pregnant asap.
Avatar f tn Oh forgot to mention I am also medroxyprogesterone to induce my period. After my last pill I started to spot 3 days later, but not a regular period until 5-6 days later.
Avatar m tn I feel that the Clomid stopped me from ovulating completely. I was just diagnosed with MTHFR. I have not talked to my doctor yet. He wanted me to start my period first before I came in, but having trouble with that. I have taken Medroxyprogesterone for five days now and nothing. I have tried researching MTHFR, but it’s all confusing. I was wondering if you can tell me in Layman’s terms of what this means and how can I treat it. I have been taking Folic Acid.
Avatar n tn I'm trying to get information as to what causes IST to start in the first place. Is it a neurological problem or something structurally that changes about the sinus node? Thanks so much for any info.
Avatar n tn She put me on Provera to start my period~ 10 mg for 5 days. That ended on 9/1/7. I still haven't gotten my period. One of my best friends is an OB/GYN Labor & Delivery Nurse. She suggested ectopic pregnancy, hormone build up in falopian tubes, or a lower GI issue ( I had food poisoning in early July that lasted two weeks to fully run it's course). I have no signs of pregnancy. My right lower abdomen is sore and becomes more painful to touch. Any other suggestions?
Avatar n tn If you bled, you were not pregnant. Provera will cause you to get your period if you have missed your period due to hormonal imbalance. Provera will also stop your bleeding if you have some dysfunctional uterine bleeding (twice a day for five days). During pregnancy, Provera does not cause bleeding. Provera definitely does NOT cause a miscarriage and is definitely used during pregnancy, expecially if you have a low progesterone level.
Avatar f tn As I said earlier I was diagnosed with PCOS Last year and have been on Metformin for about 4 months now and was given medroxyprogesterone/provera to start my cycle just recently so that we could be begin our journey yet again. Well today AF showed up and I am very happy because I had not seen her for a while and also this means it's time for our journey to begin! My question(s) is/are 1. What was your TTC plan of attack (sorry I couldn't think of a another phrase or any other way to put it)?
Avatar n tn wed 30th jan 07 i was prescribed a 5 day course of Medroxyprogesterone 10mg 3 times a day but that was just to bring on a period (it started today sooooo painful) as i havent had one since 2nd dec 2006 thats how i found out i have pcos. i feel silly i have pcos and don't fully understand it!!!
Avatar n tn I went to the bathroom and whiped my self and had like a very very thin line of blood so I though I was going to start my period but it wasn't. On March 11,2008 I went to a clinic and they made me pee in a cup and i got a big fat neggative. It's now March 20, 2009 still havn't got my period the brown&pink discharge stoped but now i get alot of discharge really watery(sorry to much info). I've gotten tested for std's and all and i'm good.
Avatar n tn My LMP was 8/12 and I was due for my next period to start on the 14th. Well it didn't come, but I thought it was going to because I felt cramps like I had started. It was rather strange for me. I took an hpt the next day and it came back neg. I've taken one everyday since then (like 4) and they're all negative. I feel like this could be it. I have to wait until I get insurance to go to the doc. They're so expensive. I wanna take a blood test and see what it says!
Avatar n tn I'll post it here too. Anyone using Robitussin, can you please let me know if it really works and what kind to use. Aside from making cm loose is it supposed to do anything else? Thanks.
Avatar n tn Of course I don't have a period to go on due to the Lupron treatments, so the easy way to find out is not an option. The second week in July I finally went in to the doctor because I couldn't shake the feeling of being pregnant. Both the urine and blood tests came back negative. I left feeling a little confused but glad to know for sure. Well, here comes the crazy part, I've tried to put it out of my mind (and have succeeded sometimes) but can't shake the feeling of being pregnant.
Avatar n tn I gained 12 lbs (yes, not what you want to see when you're trying to get pregnant), my first period took 38 days to come all of which I was bloated, cramping, and just plain miserable, and my sex drive completely disappeared while I was on it making me feel as though I was broke. I just told my husband last night that I'm amazed at how much better I feel and that I'm relieved to see that my sex drive loss was from the pill and not from something being wrong with me.
280700 tn?1210287416 Hi there, I just stumbled across this forum and was encouraged by all the posts. It is great to hear others stories. I am still getting used to all the abbreveations for everything so bear with me.. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 21, I am now 33 and was just married in Aug08. My husband and I surprisingly got pregnant right away. and I mean surprisingly b/c I was under the impression with my PCOS that it would take a long time and the need of meds etc.....
Avatar n tn All he did was give me another urine sample, that came out negative also. He talked to me in his office and gave me a prescription to start my period. I have been having all the pregnancy symptoms. I asked him why I would not have started my period. He told me that I must not have ovulated. I have never been late on my periods besides when I was pregnant. I have two children already ages 11 and 6. Last year I had two misscarriages.
1340863 tn?1366644684 Hi there, I'm hoping to start medicating again toward the end of Feb early March. Hope to chat with you through the journey.
299260 tn?1304219705 one of the girls in the office said I shouldnt count on it. I really jsut need to know bc if not, we are really going to have to start pinching pennies since my checks are the ones that pay the morgage and the bills to the house(water, elect. etc.). I dont think there is any way that DH would be able to work enough over time hours to compensate for my checks, plus then he wouldnt really get to spend any time with the baby bc he would either be at work or in bed.
