Today is my 6th day since I took my last pill but still no period. Though I am cramping alolike period is coming. Why no period yet?
He put me on medroxyprogesterone for 5 days and right after that i got my period. it lasted for 5 days and stopped and then all of a sudden started again and hasent stopped since. I don't know what is going on! I'm affraid of going thru that again! It was the worst experience ever because i didn't know what was supposed to exacxtly happen and my doctor at the time wasn't helping me by telling me what to expect. I wish you luck!

My doctor put me on medroxyprogesterone to give me my period (I hadn't had one for over a year). It took a full week after taking the last pill to get it. I started Clomid on cd 5-9 and started testing using ovulation predictors on cd 10. I'm now on cd 15 and still no LH surge. Could I be getting a false negative?

Had a period in May with no help, missed June and July so I Started my Medroxyprogesterone again in August and started my period later that same month. Missed September, but as of October and without needing the medroxyprogesterone I have been getting my period every month. So my first question is can taking just a couple rounds of progesterone help elevate your hormones? My next question is in regards to some symptoms I'm having and if they are related to things regulating out.

i only had 2 periods in 21 months. I went to my GP after 8 months and blood test came up with nothing abnormal. Had a blood test again still waiting on the results, and i've also been booked in for an ultrasound.. but i was wondering what the ultrasound will be looking for? Also what is likely to be the cause as i'm not stressed everthings normal and i have no other symptoms except no periods??

It's been Six days since my last medroxyprogesterone (provera) pill and I'm waitinf for AF to show and nothing! So of course her I go with the worrying. I have PCOS so the chances of me being pregnant right now without the Clomid Metformin and Medroxyprogesterone is slim to none as I haven't had a cycle since July of Last year.
More information is that I was on birth control for about 8 years and have been taking medroxyprogesterone for about a year now. I take 2 pills per day for the first 15 days of every month.
I just got married on April 25th, and I was supposed to have my period around that time. I got the prescription from the doctor to take 10mg/day of MEDROXYPROGESTERONE ACETATE. However, since I started taking the medicine too late, 2 days after I took the medicine, I still had my period, so I stopped taking it. On May 13th, I had unprotected sex. My question is: is it safe to get pregnant within a month after taking 20mg of MEDROXYPROGESTERONE ACETATE? Many thanks!
During your normal cycle your progesterone raises right before your period and that drop in levels causes the period. The medroxyprogesterone is just like that normal rise and drop. I hope this helps!
Right before I got a diagnosis, my ob gyn gave me a 10 day course of progesterone and I had a period. When I sent the doctor's report to my ob gyn she asked if I had any hot flashes and I said no. She said there was nothing more they could do for me because my FSH, estrodial, LH were all high from that blood test that I had.
I haven't had a period since that last one in September (from the progesterone).
Did they give you a blood HCG before they prescribed the medicine?
My experience, I was given medroxyprogesterone to induce my period as well, and I didn't start bleeding until about 2-3 days after finishing the 10 days. However, this is my third time taking it, and I actually started bleeding about 8 days into it this time. So it may differ!
It probably wouldn't hurt just to give your doctor a call though, and just tell them it hasn't worked and you feel nauseated.
Hi I'm 27 years ago and I have a 7 year old daughter. Me and my fiance have been ttc for 3+ years now. I was prescribed medroxyprogesterone 10mg for 10 days. I started taking this medicine on the first of March and had a regular cycle on the 19. I didn't take the medicine in April due to me being on antibiotics. I didn't have a period in April and haven't had one so far in May. I'm usually regular with my cycles being off a few days.
anyway Ive been taking the medroxyprogesterone for 2 1/2 days and no significant side effects...a little sluggish feeling kinda blah and dreaming alot more than usual.....
I am taking the Medroxyprogesterone 150MG/ML birth control shot and I get very long periods, now? I have had my period for 35 days stright, I have frequent migraines not headaches, I'm feeling very weak, am having cold/hot flashes. I am just feeling the most horrible I have ever felt. Is it the birth control or could it be something else? P.S. I have two children, 2 years and three months.
There are a lot of women that get those wonderful surprise babies at the onset of menopause. That is the best surprise of all, I think any way, lol. Other women might think it a cruel trick :)
Did the dr tell you what your FSH level was? That is the best way to tell what your chances are. Progesterone is naturally produced by the left over follicle that the egg was in before it was released. Once the egg was released, the remaining follicle becomes the Corpus Luteum.
Hi, I had my Mirena IUD removed on February 27 and the next day I started to bleed like a regular period. It has been 7 days and I am still bleeding. The problem is I was bleeding and spotting since Feb. 3. My Flow is Now Quite heavy. Has anyone else had this problem? My Dr. Suggested taking Medroxyprogesterone to stop my period and take it for 3 weeks then stop so that it helps to regulate my cycle. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thankyou.
