Ive done some research on what it is, and there is no link between Psoriasis(which is what dovonex is used for) and Pytriaisis Versicolor or even Tinea Versicolor, or any other fungal infections for that matter.
I know this disease takes time to go away, but i dont want to be using the wrong medicine and still have no results by summer....

Plaque psoriasis is the most common form of psoriasis. There are many treatment options for psoriasis, chief ones being cognitive behavior therapy, creams containing coal tar, dithranol (anthralin), corticosteroids like desoximetasone, fluocinonide, vitamin D3 analogues and retinoids and phototherapy and photochemotherapy. Psoriasis that is resistant to topical treatment and phototherapy is treated by medications that are taken internally by pill or injection.
I have these red spots on the back of my neck for about 3 4 days they started off a little flaky and not they're just red, can it be psoriasis? what are the causes of Psoriasis? Will it affect my pregnancy if i take medicine for it ?
The reason being is because of the tiny lesions psoriasis causes. My question is, could a healthy adult that has psoriasis clear HBV if they are not on --or have never been on-- immune suppressing medicine? Does the overactive immune system attack HBV like a normal immune system would or does it succumb and turn chronic?

I have psoriasis for about 5 years now. It was not severe at the beginning and last year it was covering more than a half of my head. Other than that I has a small (1/2 inch size) patch on my leg. (near ankle ). Recently doctor changed the ointment and it worked for the scalp. now scalp is very mild. But I got two new patchs (about 3-4 inch) on both groin and upper thigh. It is very itchy. With the same ointment for head this is slightly controlled. But right hand side is more severe.
It looks like psoriasis but it also looks similar to herpes. How do I know the difference? I used my cream for psoriasis and it made it go away but it acts the same as psoriasis. The bumps aren't patched together but can be but can appear just one at a time. :( please help! I'd much rather just have psoriasis.
It can be treated but it commonly has recurrences also and there are no home remedies for psoriasis. So a regular treatment is required for this. ve heard good things about in the past. I believe he used to be the medical consultant for the asha HELP group when it was still in existence. I have no idea if he is still in that area or even still practicing medicine but it would be a start.
any dermatologist should be able to handle your issues. you already have a + hsv1 lesion culture so diagnosis isn't the issue.
these are topical medications. The maintenance therapy for psoriasis requires tapering off of steroids once response and improvement has been achieved as well as the use of moisturizers. A bland and mild cream may be used as daily moisturizer.

the doctors said its due to fungal infection( psoriasis) . i tried almost evry medicine, lotio, ol, creams... but all in vain....
now my front hair line is almost all damaged... i have very thick hair on my front side.. also the new hair grows but when i started itching my head that very new hair also falls with flakes of dandruff.
please help me and suggest some medicine or anything...
I do plan on getting tested after the recommended 3 months but I do see these posts about seroconversion being delayed due to compromised Immune systems ..Since I have psoriasis(its an immune system disorder) do you think it can cause the seroconversion to happen later..??
