This is a scan in Nuclear Medicine that looks at the gallbladder and biliary tree. The scan is done for obstruction (as in gallstones).
In it you are injected with a small amount of radioactive isotopes. You don't directly react to these isotopes. What happens is a nuclear medicine camera then tracks the isotopes as it moves through your system.The typical scanning time is around an hour.

When I use the terms at work I use lesion when it's a flat area of damage and tumor when it's more of a bump/lump. Not sure if that's accurate but that's what I think of.

i know my risk is really really low, but i hoped it constituted a 0 risk, not a " virtually no risk exposure"....
It means your body is coagulating or clotting your blood more than it should. My guess is you probably have a higher than normal platelet level. The higher the platelet level the more the blood clots.
