Avatar f tn 8CM BREAST TISSUE IN MY RIGHT ARMPIT, WHICH IS CAUSING DISCOMFORT. INCLUDING NERVE PAIN, MY SURGEON TELLS ME IT'S NOT RELATED TO THE DISCOMFORT IN MY ARMPIT. BUT I WAS EXPERIMENTING DISCOMFORT, BEFORE THE NERVE PAIN STARTED, WHICH IN TURN IS CAUDING NUMBNESS, TINGLING, SWELLING, MY PINKI FINGER & THE FINGER NEXT TO IT TO GO NUMB & CURL UNDER, MY ARM IS COLD A LOT OF THE TIME.
Avatar f tn HI, I'm a 23 year old female. I have had a small pea-sized lump in my left armpit for... a long time. I really can't remember for how long I've had it now, it could be as much as a year, or as little as 4 months. At first I though it was just an ingrown hair from shaving/waxing and as I do for other bumps of this kind, I've been waiting for a sign of the hair to surface or a 'whitehead' so to speak, to form so that I could clear it out with a needle if it didn't go on it's own.
Avatar n tn Was off the antibiotics for approximately 10 days when low and behold, 3 more popped up (1 in the armpit, 1 in the groin and another have mercy was in my privates). Back to the Dr., he said now I have to be on the antibiotic for 30 days and that he felt it was a staph infection. In addition, I've got to put bacitracin in my nose at bedtime for 3 weeks. He advised that staph is a common bacteria that everyone has on their body. It actually lives in the nose.
Avatar n tn I have had 3 rounds of neoadjuvant chemo for breast cancer, i also have two 9mm lumps in my armpit. I have dull pain in my armpit, which goes slightly to my shoulder and neck. Is it possible that my cancer is being metastised??? or what is it????
Avatar f tn If not, you would need to consult your doctor and you may need to take an antibiotic course. For the pain in the neck region, it would be best to take OTC pain relief medications and apply some local analgesic gel. It would also help to do some neck exercises. Do let us know about the progress. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Hi Allergic reactions seldom present with enlarged lymph nodes unless the allergies are drug induced or is simply associated with an underlying infectious process. The lump in the armpit and the groin may suggest that you need to have nearby areas of the body assessed. The enlarged node in the armpit may suggest infections in the chest especially in the areas of the breast and the arms. An enlarged node in the groin requires a complete pelvic examination.
Avatar f tn I have a small lump in my armpit and it feels like its bruised.. any ideas what it is??? Its pretty small and tender.
Avatar f tn In October 2009 a lymph node in my neck was incredibly swollen and the swelling spread (only on one side of my face) and caused the right side of my face to double in size, I went to a doctor and they didn't know what it was so they just gave my antibiotics. The swelling then decreased, but I had noticed that one particular lymph node on my right side just under my jaw remained slightly swollen, but it didn't hurt and wasn't fixed so I wasn't concerned.
Avatar m tn While Hepatitis A vaccine can cause blisters, fever and swollen glands in the armpit, neck or groin. Meningitis vaccine can also cause fever, pain, weakness and swollen glands in armpit, groin. Some side effects which occur usually do not need medical attention. They are self-limiting and can go away on their own. It is difficult to confirm whether it had occurred due to the vaccine or any other cause.
Avatar n tn Because most of the episodes involved my breast and underarm she ordered a mammogram but with my urging I had an EKG with normal results (not reassuring as my husband's EKG was normal), she also suspects because of the herniated disks in my neck may be sending pain to my chest (I have no pain in my neck). I am worried that it might be my heart. I am still having mild pain (1-2) in my left underarm and chest. Should I be worried or push for further heart testing or other tests? If so what tests?
Avatar n tn Hello, For the past few weeks I've had pain in my neck that started in the back of my neck but then seemed to spread to the sides. My glands are swollen under where my jaw and neck meet and today I've had some pain in my left armpit... I was at the doctor last week but he though it was bad posture.. I feel like it is not just that. The pain can be intense at times and I've been taking pain killers to ease it. Naturally, I'm concerned.. any help or advice would be great.
Avatar f tn I have suffered pain under my left armpit for the last week. Recently I noticed a small swollen lump. I am a little alarmed. What should I do next.???

Avatar f tn I have a lump in my armpit that I think has been there for a while. I know for sure I saw it a month ago, but went through 2 surgeries (unrelated?) and that was my last concern - I thought it was a muscle. It has never been painful, red, 'angry' or anything else. I think it's gotten a little bigger, but if it has, it hasn't grown much at all. Last week I went to my doctor and showed it to her.
Avatar f tn Hi! Pain in the armpit without a lump can be due to heat intolerance and due to sweat dermatitis. It is also possible due to peripheral artery disease. Peripheral neuropathies as in diabetes, chemical burns due to any deo or lotions you use, peripheral nerve compression are the other possibilities. It can even be a referred pain from breast due to fibroadenosis. Just check and see if the pain in worse in certain times of your menstrual cycle. These possibilities should be looked into.
Avatar f tn For the past year know, I have had a lump under my armpit, and causes no pain, or discomfort, and had a doc. look at it four months ago. He said looked like lymphnoids, did a follow up ultrasound today, the techs and docs. at the hospital comfirmed today that it is a swollen muscle in my armpit. I am not sure that sounds right, concidering that just four months ago, my Surgeon says that it was lymphnoids, and that we will make sure it does not grow.
Avatar n tn , no pain swallowing, but an irregular feeling like a lump or abrasion) WITH what seemed to be salivary gland pain, two (first tender, then hard) lymph glands in neck, and pain/throb in armpit, groin, and femoral region (no noticed lumps except swollen pain in groin while on Augmentin) and ear pain. I will say that I have chewed tobacco or smoked cigarettes for approx. 14 years.
Avatar n tn The next day, I woke up fine, went to work and within the first hr, pain(worse then rt arm pit) in my left arm pit and much bigger lump, very sore, soft and tender, can hardly touch it, and its hard to put my arm down to the side. Other symptoms are achy throat, very fatigue,(some)trouble focusing my eye(dizzy feeling). Ive been doing some research about this on the internet and i dont know what to believe.
Avatar n tn I am major relieved and thanks japdip for your wisdom but I am still concerned with this pain and even more concerning is that my glands on that side of my neck are now swollen. My neck hurts when I palpate it and so does my armpit and forearm. I also realize we are dealing with some plugged lymph possibly but I wonder about the neck thing. I do think it will resolve once drained but I'm wondering if I should go up to ER today as I am a bit dizzy.
Avatar f tn It seems that all the problems I have are on the left side of my body - I wake every day with a dull, aching pain in my left jaw; pain in left armpit; pain in left side of neck; numbness and tingling in left arm, and now what looks like an infection on my left big toe. I can't say that I was completely convinced with the diagnosis of fibroadenoma, and although my breast is still a little sore from the biopsy a week ago, I can't seem to get over the pain in my left armpit. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Hello, i am 45 year old female, otherwise in good health, 2 months ago i noticed a lump in my armpit about 1 inch in diameter, no pain just rather large, it cannot be seen by lifting my arm ( area is not raised ) , it seems to be very deep. no redness either and wasn't, (or the area around it) , tender at all.
1629118 tn?1299616730 Approximately a month ago, I had a lump about the size of a half dollar and swelling in my left armpit with alot of pain. I went into ER and that doc said she felt a mass under the areola and scheduled an ultrasound. Of course I panicked. The ultrasound found nothing though and the pain and swelling were gone after a day or two. I dismissed the "mass" the doc found because I had breast reduction in 1996 and I know there is scar tissue in that area.
1261294 tn?1274546093 (while my hubby stared at me wondering what type of crazy boob rubbing fit I was having) I still couldn't locate the area causing the pain, I have had swollen lymph noid in my neck when I was younger, and upon searching the neck there was NO question wear the pain was coming from, it was easily felt and found with fingers.
Avatar m tn after the weight loss and into july i started to gain back weight (but more on my belly i feel) and its not october and ive not bleed in 2 months atall. The pain is constant and now it feels like its over my Liver the pain is in the liver area. Also i have a really bad stiging itching sensation under both armpits , and i little pea sized lump under my left armpit. Im also so tried all the time.
Avatar m tn The pain then moved into the front of my left shoulder going over the chest area and under the armpit. It started to get better but then I got the same pain in the right shoulder which travelled down my arm. At this point a lump appeared on my left side accross my 1st rib which was very painful to touch. The doctor I saw said it could be costocondritis. However the lump seemed to go away after a few days but the pain remained in my right shoulder.
Avatar n tn When I first mentioned to my doctor that I had pain in the neck and tingling in the fingers... he felt it was probably due a disk in my neck and wanted me to have an MRI... at the time I wasn't too worried about it and didn't botherso much, so I didn't bother to go. However, now that I feel the lymph node I will go back to see what he thinks. One of my questions are... actually to Rob... do you have a history of problems with your teeth?
Avatar n tn And, of course, the horrible armpit pain from my nodes, plus swollen nodes in my neck. This occured ten plus years ago. My fibro symtoms are more recent, in the last couple years, and include all over body pain, like I've been hit by a truck, joint popping, fuzzy headedness (is that even a word??) and muscle twitching. With the Epstein Barr, my symptoms were what I would consider acute for about two-three months solid.
Avatar f tn About 2 years ago I noticed a lumpy thickening in my left armpit as well as a large grainy lump on my neck on the right side. I was actually more afraid about the lump on my neck than with my armpit, mainly because I've suffered from swollen lymph nodes on and off my whole life (asthma as well as allergies) so I figured my armpit was more or less related to that.
Avatar m tn All of my lymphs are in pain with sharp pain, except armpit that is painless with big lump. I am getting constant herpes outbreak every week with new lesion. HIV or new strain of virus causing weak immune system?
