1650779 tn?1342036603 In thinking about your main motivation for weight loss, are you most focused on losing weight by a certain date (e.g. I want to lose weight for a wedding or graduation), on losing a certain amount of weight (e.g. I just want to lose 15 pounds), or on weight loss in general (I don't care about weighing a certain amount, I just want to weigh less)?
Avatar f tn You know losing weight is a process; and depending on the amount you want to lose, it could be a lengthy process. Having clear short-term and long-term goals will make that process more exciting. Once you define what you want to achieve and when, write those goals in a notebook or on the computer. At the beginning, especially if you've been away from a regular exercise program for awhile, you should set weekly goals and one ultimate goal.
1543882 tn?1293417476 I am young, 17, and I really need some motivation to start losing weight. Any mentors, tips, suggestions?
Avatar f tn So I've been on a low calorie diet (less than 1500 calories) per day and working out at the gym for an hour oror more 4 times a week. I'm currently at 147lbs and have been for the last 3 weeks!! Since i started my diet. Has this happened to anyone else. I know it might just be muscle keeping me from losing weight. I would love some advice about working out and losing weight.
Avatar n tn I keep losing my motivation to go to the gym and eating healthier. Has anyone got anything that can help me?
Avatar f tn The key to losing fat belly is self-motivation, exercise, eating a more healthy diet and consuming fewer calories than you use up. You can also add skin products like thermofit for losing weight or body wraps for tighter appearance of your tummy. Be positive that you'll eventually loose it.
5891248 tn?1406410864 I was very active before I got pregnant. I weighed 135 and 5ft5inches tall. I used the treadmill, elliptical, my bike about 4-5 days a week. Then became pregnant and felt sick and couldn't work out. When I started feeling better and I'd walk, which lasted a couple weeks, then felt yucky again. Then I lost motivation because I think what's the point? I won't use weight so I've decided to just wait till after I have the baby.
Avatar f tn Do your research though on how to go about losing weight the healthiest way possible. And if you are blessed enough to get the motivation you need, go full force into losing weight and never look back. If someone as lazy and crazy as me can lose 23lbs and occasionally get compliments, you will do it definitely. I believe in you and in a God who will give you all the strength and motivation that you need.

Avatar f tn Hi Meggiemariee, I just read your comments. It's already April 23rd. You say your average weight loss is about five pounds. That's an awful lot in one week, Meggiemariee. Instead of putting that kind of pressure on yourself, i.e. your goal of losing 24 lbs by the end of may or early June. That's too much weight in such a short period of time. I would not advise it.
Avatar f tn Well I have tried over and over again with pills shakes nutrisystem slim fast weight warchers etc you name it I tried it.
1301482 tn?1325722991 Compare yourself now to where you were before you started losing weight. How much weight have you lost? How much better do your clothes fit you? How has your energy level and health improved? What can you do now that you couldn’t do before? Going back to your old eating habits won’t seem so tempting when you think how it will undermine all the good things that weight loss has brought you so far.
Avatar f tn I am 14 years of age and I have tried so hard to lose weight and I'm not necessarily fat, but I could definitely lose a few pounds or so... With that said I will stay on a diet for about 3 or 4 days and be doing really well and then when it comes to the 5th day I go crazy and eat everything and I just don't know how to keep myself motivated and stick to my diet this time?
1046985 tn?1305117048 Yay, finally some good news. Hopefully I will have the same results after my surgery.
Avatar f tn Hi all, I am severely depressed & have been taking Prozac for a month now & my doc suggested Abilify to add. I had already put on 30lbs from lexapro, which is part of becoming depressed again. I have been on the Abilify for 6days now & can tell it is having a positive impact on me. I have had enough motivation to work out the past two days & I am really watching what I'm eating. Has anyone here had success with losing weight on Abilify & prozac?
