642313 tn?1244071722 I've compiled a brief and general list of suggestions many have posted for easing withdrawal symptoms or speeding recovery.
720228 tn?1530911279 Since it would be highly unethical to test on pregnant women, the list of essential oils to avoid during pregnancy is based on knowledge of the general properties of each essential oil. If you are currently pregnant and have been using any of the “to be avoided” essential oils but are not experiencing any harmful effects, then there most likely is nothing wrong. However, it is strongly recommended to discontinue use of the “to be avoided” essential oils.
Avatar m tn http://products.mercola.com/coconut-oil/ From Dr. Douglass a combination of several vegetable oils that offers a nice balance of omega-3s, omega-6s––including Evening Primrose Oil––and omega-9s, plus coconut oil and a little bit of vitamin E. I recommend 2 to 3 tablespoons per day.
Avatar n tn ve been limited my use to inhaling it (peppermint, thieves, and lavender). There are also a long list of oils that are off-limits for the whole pregnancy bc they can induce labor and/or be too harsh on the baby.
Avatar f tn Try to eat good fats (olive oils, avocado, cashews, almonds are good sources among others).... fresh fruit or lite canned fruit. Try to find things with as little sugar as possible. Some of the newer yogurts with fiber are really good, but again, watch the sugars. Eat good quality, low fat meats such as chicken without skin, turkey, pork, red meats with little fat... Check out the weight watchers site or sparkpeople.com for more info.
Avatar f tn i have some lavender oil that I used prior to getting pregnant in my bubble baths that my boyfriend says I shouldn't use while pregnant. Is it NOT ok to use my oils?
Avatar f tn Thanks for your reply! I'm going to get down to the docters.
Avatar m tn All the massage oils seem to work themselves into the skin way to fast and things dry up, then you have to stop and re-lube everything. Petroleum jelly seems to be too viscous for my liking, but lasts longer. It's also more difficult to clean up, unlike the KY that's water soluble. The gels, like KY (the old stand-by) seem to last pretty long but some have that clinical smell.
Avatar m tn i want to eat healthy food. please let me know what could be a good nutritious & balanced diet. i am a sportsperson and play basketball.
1225070 tn?1344709174 Okay, I have heard so many people talking about the fish oils, so I went out and bought some yesterday. I have not yet taken them as I was concerned whether or not they were safe to take in the TWW. I bought Sundown Naturals 1000mg. I have found at least 2 different sites that have done studies on 5 diff. fish oils (sundown being one of them) that states all five had "insignificant" levels of mercury.
Tbd Has any one had any success in using essential oils to nauturally lower cholesterol levels?
9787569 tn?1416485172 I tried a mix of all natural oils with antioxidants, that has worked best for me. I read that during pregnancy bacteria get trapped in your pores causing pimples and many of these oils prevent bacteria from growing. Oils like coconut and jojoba are natural antibacterial antiviral and antifungal. As long as you don't lather it on, it actually does not clog your pores. A lot of these oils also help heal your skin naturally.
Avatar f tn We have each learned various tidbits of information along the way and I thought it may be a nice idea to share either information about bipolar or tidbits of information about what is working to keep us healthy. I'll offer two. One is that estrogen based birthcontrol pills are not as effective in people taking bipolar meds. Two is that Omega 3 oils really makes a difference in how I feel each day.
Avatar f tn Perhaps the probiotics do offer some protection, however, I would suggest you do ENERYTHING possible to eliminate any gluten molecules AND any inflammatory factors from affecting you. There are more sources of gluten, than what you are aware of. Shampoo, creams, lotions, ointments, supplements, sauces and condiments (which may list gluten using a different term), playdough, envelopes... These are common. You can find a complete list here: http://www.celiac.
Avatar f tn Essential Oils!! Work better than any decongestant, and NO chemicals. I use Young Living oils and rub Thieves and RC on my chestand on my LO's chest and feet! No sickness in our house!
Avatar f tn Its the only thing that will control my itchiness. I also use cocoa butter, but that doesnt go any deeper than the first layer of skin. The oils in the belly butter does.
Avatar n tn Welcome to MedHelp ! To answer your question, you may want to consider googling, "Co Cure's Good Doctor List". If that doesn't work, feel free to send me a note (just click on my nic) and I can send you another link.
Avatar f tn Try a little caffeine. Make sure you are eating and snacking regularly. Significant other available? Temple, foot and shoulder rubs. Staying well hydrated. Sometimes i have to unplug...no TV,cell etc. A warm bath in the dark with mellow music.
Avatar f tn I won't list them on here because the moderators will remove it, but look up essential oils to help induce labor. There are some that can help bring on contractions.
Avatar n tn Looks like the make shampoos with essential oils and dead sea salts, very trendy and aimed at consumers who use these product on themselves (which is not wrong, jsut great marketing); I find it interesting that they list only the "active ingredients" of mud, salt and different oils on the website, that makes it easier to proclaim that they are all natural, but none of the "active ingredients" have any cleansing activity, so those ingredients appear to be kept a secret.
184674 tn?1360860493 Just a list to name some of your favorite things in life. :-) Add more if you want to! Colors: blue violet, blue-green Animals: dogs, horses, dolphins, parrots, penguins Things to do: taekwondo, horseback riding, hiking, playing with my son, spending time with my immediate family Foods: homemade mashed potatoes, spaghetti, salmon, eggplant, apples (with peanut butter!
Avatar n tn It sounds like you're making good food choices as a vegetarian. I would mix up the nuts a bit more, just to keep from focusing on just one or the other, in order to prevent yourself from becoming intolerant to any of them. Too often when one is intolerant of one kind of nut, one becomes intolerant to many kinds because of cross reaction allergies.
Avatar f tn t started any prenatal vitamins but i have done my research and i was pretty sure that the list of fish oils in citranatal DHA were NOT good. Thank you again. I will look into the Enfimil. So i take it that one doesn't have any fish oils?
