More along my lines. I like to listen to something depressing such as anything by Nick Drake or Syd Barrett and work those feelings out. Then having gotten over them I move on. I tend to listen to cheerier music when I am hypomanic. Its only recently after recovery from psychosis that I am aware of it but the music I listen to matches the affect I am in. As for Pink Floyd I know as a kid growing up, that half of the kids when they felt angry at the world listened to "The Wall".

Just type in any song that was ever played, and see what happens. Then, following the end of the song, it will keep playing songs of the same era forever.

I'm thinking of maybe playing some smooth jazz or soothing classical music. Maybe even nature sounds like rain and stuff.

Yes I would remember if I heard the songs. My brain was pretty fried up back then. Yep those were the glory years of nothing but fun, and low responsibility. Drugs, sex, and rock and roll . ( spelling ) What about the long version of Layla. Those were some of my favorites.

m 17 weeks and decided to start playing music for my babies and I play smooth jazz. I notice that when I play jazz when my babies are active at night, they can down. And sometimes when I play it and rub my belly in a certain spot both babies gather at that one spot. It's so adorable. Do any of you play music for your babies and if so, what kind of music do you play?

Then after 30 days I went camping with some friends and they played Guitars why we sang all kinds of songs, of course I was still really sick with detox..Now I listen to all my old albums from way back..I hear them in another way!!! I just sing & dance if I am feeling good!!! If not it makes me get in a way better mood.. Bless...

The beauty of my husband and I is that we like a LOT of the same music and we are of an age(old) that so much of it is really 'uncool'. But we sing along and dance in unison. We don't really have a favorite movie. But, I love movies and so does he. So, we enjoy a flick together often. He'd probably say our favorite movie is 'Dances with Wolves' because I've sat through watching it with him about 1,000 times. I like it and all but he REALLY likes it.

Robert Wyatt in his first three albums with the Soft Machine was a phenomenal talent, and his voice has rarely ever been equalled in the music world, as well as the avant garde progressive jazz/ psychedelic rock songs that the group created. Sadly they soon re-organized, and drifted into unfocused directions, never achieving anything close to their initial works. I don't know if your nick name has any intentional relationship, but that is the history anyway!

Oh and I also LOVE Ave Maria too, it's one of my favorite in church songs! One year during our Christmas Mass they brought in a special musical group for Christmas and the singer who sang Ave Maria was absolutely amazing and actually made me cry it was such a powerful rendition of the song. But that's also on the top of my list too Judy!

I love GaGa, too! She's a very talented and she's keeps it real.....not a fake bone in her body! And, some of you that haven't seen some of her live interviews, would be surprised to know how intelligent she is. Check out some of her interviews on YouTube!
