Common Questions and Answers about Laser removal new york

Avatar f tn Thank you so much. I am new to this forum so I do not know how to navagate .to find replies. My surgeon is a skilled eye surgeon, not necessarily one of the best in the world, but has been featured in "Top Doctors:New York Metro". He said the same thing to me as your doctor said to you. He was going to be conserative in removing the lense safely. My lens has only been in for 1 month, so there should not be much trouble. I thank you and Jodie.
Avatar n tn Can you tell me the results of your one ovary removal surgery? Have you had recurrence of endometrioma? Are you on oral contraceptives?
162948 tn?1205256292 I do have a hormonal IUD. I want to have it removed. But, I do Not know what to except from the removal.... I wish I new how long it would take me to get pregnant. With my first baby it was very fast for me to get pregnant... Thanks..
Avatar m tn The doctor at Mayo Clinics only does bony removal decompression which has higher risks and the doctor in New York does fat removal decompression but there are a lot of complains about him and the his stuff are so rude. I am more interested in fat removal decompression since my CT scan showed that there is increased orbital fat without restrictive myopathy. Therefore, I am looking for a second opinion and possibly the best doctors who do the fat removal decompression surgeries in the states.
Avatar n tn Im so sorry, I also had PCOS when I was 16. I never got my period and I started growing hair on my face. They discovered the PCOS and I had them removed. I eventually got a normal period, but the hair growth has never stopped but got worse. Ii am 43 now. Got pregnant both times on the first try so that was not an issue but the hair growth on my face is so embarrassing. I am like the freaky bearded lady in the circus. My darling husband does not mind at all and is very supportive.
Avatar n tn I have went to see dr barry zide in new york city which is going to do a facial flap to get rid of these problem areas.have yourheard of drbarry zide and is there any other options out there.allready tried laser hair removal and that made things worse.
Avatar n tn from disappointed66 First, do not have any kind of laser treatment in the left eye. (I am thinking he might have said a yag.) This makes it difficult to explant if you decide to do so. I am one of the many sad recepients of the Restor lens disaster. Left eye. It was a total horror. Night driving was completely out of the question/light glare and starburst from every light source made it almost impossible to see at night, I could not see at any distance even in the daytime.
Avatar n tn Thank you for sharing that news about the new york ocuplastic surgeon, do you have his/secrataries email address? New york is so much more convenient tthan Korea, it's closer to the UK and there will be no language barrier, though i'm very worried about costs and risks!
Avatar f tn Also do you have any recommendations of who the best retinal surgeon in the New York area would be, since I want to go to a different Dr. even though mine was very good with answering questions, and being patient. I want to go to someone with a lot of experience in dealing with retinal detachment.
720604 tn?1230853479 I told 2 healthcare professionals about my Hep C status: my dentist (via letter, since when I found out I was way between appointments) and my laser hair removal nurse. With my dentist, I see that they've added "HCV+" to my chart, but have never asked me anything about it. As with all my dentists out here (in Ca), regardless of the HCV thing, they ask you first thing if your health has changed in any way, and ask you to sign a release form.
Avatar n tn Hi Dr. Hagan - is there anyone in New York City that you can recommend for the flickering problem. I am 8 weeks out of cataract surgery and the flickering has been a nightmare. I am an attorney and my job involves hours and hours of reading. I need to get back to work. When I try to read I get flickering, eye swelling and headaches. Unable to read more than about 30 minutes. I am getting really worried. Thanks in advance.
Avatar m tn But I am thinking is everybody's brain can adapt to the new mechanism introduced by this lens or someone may take longer time. In some of your previous posts, you mentioned your vision is 20/200. I think you meant the vision without glasses. Correct ? After the surgery of your first eye, which eye did you rely on to see or read during that 2 weeks ? Does your headache induced by the imbalance of vision ?
475555 tn?1469307939 the hematologist gave me an order for a bone marrow punction! She didn't explain exactly why she wanted it, but it has something to do with my high hgb (16 to 17). I'm kinda scared, as I know nothing about bone marrow punctions, except that they'll be giving me a general anesthetic, so it must be pretty painful. I guess it's some sort of biopsy. I wonder how long it takes to recuperate??? Have you got any info on this?

Avatar f tn I found a book online called The Atlas of Craniomaxillofacial Osteosynthesis Its a medical book for sale and you can only see a couple pages, but from the index there was a whole chapter on plate removal due to immunologic response. Also.... Allergic reactions to metal implants: Influence of wear debris Properties of implant materials and particles.
Avatar n tn Has anybody gone through rectal/anal skin tag removal? I had one removed by my doctor in his office. He used lidocaine (6 shots that were unbelievable painful) to numb the area and cut it off and cauterized the area. I'm having a rough time - I feel like I have the worst hemorroid flare up going on right now. I'm taking colace and fiber supplement, drinking plenty of water and began using the Desitin a few days before they recommended I start.
Avatar m tn He said I did not have to do both eyes now, but having the same lens in both eye would make neuro-adaptation easier and vision better. - He offered laser assisted surgery for removal of natural lens. Price was $1000 more and said refractive outcome was the same if I did laser assisted or standard phacoemulsification. He said laser is 'possibly' less traumatic on the eye. He didn't pressure one way or the other and said think about it and let us know a few days before what you decide.
Avatar n tn It has been tested with many women in Califorina, Florida, New York and Arizona. The web site is now being created and should be up and running within 1 month. Avatar f tn I always knew it had to be something to do with the pregnancy but I had to trust the doctors judgement. I tried one more new doctor yesterday, and rehearsed what I was going to say because i was upset. Finally, this doctor took notice of me and said it was definately AXILLARY BREAST TISSUE and is referring me to the Breast Clinic, almost certainly to have it removed (unless there are complications).
Avatar m tn If you are concerned about germs growing in your gallon of salt water, then make a new batch every time you feel sinus infection coming on. 2. THE POWER OF SALT Why does salt water work? Simply put, germs need water, and salt takes the water away from the germs. There are two kinds of saline solution. Isotonic solution has the same concentration of salt as the human body. Hypertonic solution is saltier than the water in the human body.
Avatar n tn It's an at home laser hair removal machine. It costs like $600 but I bought it since it would be cheaper than laser hair removal at the doctor. I hate to sound like an ad, but it seems to be working very well. About a little less than half of the hair is gone from my arms and armpits but I don't use it that much on my legs because of the itching after shaving. About a fourth of my leg hair is gone right now.
Avatar n tn Some are better than others and new techniques are evolving everday, including a new one which involves flexible instrumentation which reduces some of the stress placed on above fusion vertebrae. If only we'd all held out a little longer! I'm 22 now and I'm holding out hope that I can get all this taken care of before I have kids. Wish me luck!
Avatar n tn However looking at the medical advacment in the past 50 years is amazing even in the last 10 years. Robotic arms to do brain surgery, stem cells growing new teath, and posibly a new disc of my own cells could be mine. I took a leap of faith that this replacement will get me to my 40's and we will see what happens maybe it lasts 20 years or 30. Only time will tell. I bookmarked this page and I am willing to continue my progress and tribulations.
940391 tn?1255758976 Have you found out anything new about your nodules? I found out this last week that I have 11 nodules (noncalcified) from what I understand I wish they were calcified. It was recommended to me that I have another CT in 2 months to see if any new nodules appear or if the ones that are there grow. At this point they are too small to do a biopsy on, but they have found a large mass in my neck.
Avatar n tn Keep asking Dr to help or go to new Dr. My Dr would not listen to me for 6 months after my first surgery I found new Dr and he saved my life . i was depressed and life was really getting bad.I am doing so good 9 weeks out its so different than the first time. hang in there it will get better.
Avatar m tn I should also add, I got a new spot yesterday afternoon. Now I have two "active" annyoing spots in my right eye at once, which has never happened before. While most of my spots are pemanent, after a few weeks they "fade" to small scotomas and I don't really notice them all the time (like I do with the new ones"). The old ones are visible mainly under the circumstances I mentioned above, unless I got looking for them.
Avatar f tn I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it is possible you will never gain feeling. I had a "average" removal of my wisdom teeth (impacted).. I stayed awake through the procedure( not a great idea) Next month it will be a year since I have have had any feeling in the right side of my tongue, and severe nerve damage over my entire bottom gums and my right upper face... nerves are weird...My days are a constant battle of pain and burning sensations...
