Common Questions and Answers about Laser scar removal pictures

Avatar n tn I am not familiar with Rejuvi tattoo removal. The circumferential scar band that you describe could be treated in a number of ways, depending on the age of scar. These techniques run from the application of silicone gel sheeting to steroid injections. Surgically the tightness and indentation could be partially relieved by scar revision with Z-plasties. These alternatives should be discussed with your surgeon.
1116823 tn?1303076444 It was a common wart that you get on your hands and legs.. But this procedure was more of a scar removal procedure - the scar was left over from a previous biopsy. If I wound the skin (make a small incision with a knife or blade) and reattach, then put a bandied on would the reconnect?
Avatar m tn Hello, This scar could be because of the granulation tissue formed after removal of mole. Sometimes it may become dark as original mole or even darker than that. What happens is that melanocytes left behind in the wound regrow in an abnormal pattern. This is accompanied by scarring, inflammation, and blood vessel changes. For its removal Several methods are available nowadays for the removal of moles, like cryosurgery, excisional biopsy, electro cautery, cold freezing to name a few.
Avatar n tn the area around the scar is not red and is perfectly fine but the actual scar is still reddish. the doctors told me that if the skin around the area was red i should be worried about infection, but how long did it take some of the rest of you for the redness of your scar to fade? Should i be worried if mines taking this long? Also, was anyones menstruation cycle affected by the surgery? Mine has become much much lighter, almost like spotting.
162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
Avatar n tn it actually burned my face. i wish i knew how to upload the pictures i took so you can see how horrible my face looks. the apple cider vinegar hasn't removed the warts, it simply burned the skin around it leaving a big brown scar the size of a dime. so now i'm still looking for an effective facial wart remover and the a way to heal the burn caused by the apple cider vinegar.
196674 tn?1306505756 The marks on the two spots that were left will probably never go away, because I have extra sensitive scar tissue, and scar from just slightest scratches. Is there any non-prescription scar removal ointment or cream that I can use that might help lighten up the mark it left?
233488 tn?1310696703 It is done by skilled surgeons using prosthetic iris implants that have been clinically tested and approved by appropriate national agencies. Nor is this using a laser to alter iris color although I would never recommend this surgery to a patient of mine. Nor are we talking about contact lens to alter the appearance of the eye iris color when worn if the contacts are fit by a skilled ophthalmologist or optometrist and worn by an informed and meticulous patient.
Avatar m tn Years ago I was receiving laser hair removal on my entire brazilian area. After that, I began getting brazilian waxes. About 2-3 years ago I noticed a small, round bump (smaller than the zero on most keyboards) that was flesh colored, somewhat firm to the touch (solid, not filled with fluid) slightly raised, but relatively smooth, not bumpy. My immediate thought was that it was a keloid/scar as a result of shaving and/or having the laser used on such sensitive skin every month for years.
1116823 tn?1303076444 Other treatment options which I have mentioned earlier include electrical cautery, surgical removal, Carbon dioxide laser treatment and electrodesiccation. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn Hello, From the pictures,it looks like mollsucum contagiosum. Molluscum contagiosum is a common, benign, self limiting viral infection of the skin. In adults, molluscum infections are often sexually transmitted and can transmit from one site to other skin sites by aoutoinocultaion. Treatment includes physical destruction or manual extrusion of the lesions, cryotherapy, and curettage. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist I hope that helps.
Avatar n tn I believe it must have happened when they first shaved my face (standard procedure for laser hair removal)- yet the shaving opened all the little acne bumps and must have allowed it to spread. Someone mentioned diabetes and menstral cycle problems. I have very irregular periods and have been diagnosed with " PCOS " (a pre-diabetic stage). I know my facial hair is rooted to this problem, yet I do not know how to fix it.
Avatar n tn These injections cause the keloid to become atrophic, or thinner, and are repeated every three to four weeks until the keloid has been resolved to the individual's satisfaction. Other therapies include laser treatment or radiation therapy, and topical treatments are undergoing study. Let us know if you need any other information. Regards.
Avatar m tn • Nov 18th, both of the ulcers almost healed and left pink color scar on the skin. But burning sensation and tingling on my thighs, behind my calves, pubic area where hair grow, and groin. Plus I started peeing more often and bladder feels irritated. I did Urine culture, Microscopic examination, Urine Chlamydia, urine for mycoplasma, and ureaplasma urealyticum. They all came out negative. I still have the burning sensation on pubic & legs.
Avatar n tn After a vacation, I was worried and went back, this time to another STD Doc, who found two warts under the old scar, is that possible? I was lasered again, on the previous scars. They gave me another wave therapy (expensive too) a probe that the nurse would press on my penis and around my groin. No pain, like touching your hand to the table, I didnt understand this but was told it would work! Then the CRS machine. Are these machines common, effective? Has anyone else heard of it?
Avatar n tn but i was hoping a laser treatment would STOP me from having further breakouts which is my main concern.. maybe i should have laser hair removal done on my entire face since i think the hairs cause these bumps? Please help with any and all advice possible.. i seriously cant take this anymore!!!! Ive seen the show extreme makeover where they have done wonders with acne and horrible skin tone and scars.. what in the world do they do and what does it cost?
Avatar f tn My mom had something similar and went in to have it removed. She has a tiny scar, but is glad it is gone. I don't know what caused it. Her procedure was outpatient, so she went home the same day.
Avatar f tn The doctor basically gave me the options of laser treatment to remove the tattoo or to cut the tattoo out which will leave a big scar. But I know this Dermatologist to be very conventional and mainstream his thinking so I am researching other options. Since someone mentioned a possible fungal infection as the cause of the rash I'm going to try colloidal silver spray for a few weeks starting tonight.
Avatar f tn they did a biopsy shortly after i did this post, and nothing specific came back. i've had it treated w/ medication (pills and topical) and also laser and it'll seem to look a little better for a few days but then i'm almost to square 1. it just will not seem to heal. just today they decided to do a second biopsy, because they also find it odd and worrisome. they did diagnose me with rosacea b/c in general i am very pink with capillaries close to the skin.
Avatar m tn The urethrogram and catheter removal was an unpleasant experience but one which you just have to grit your teeth and bear. Unfortunately, at home, I picked up an infection and so was given antibacterial drugs which seemed to clear it up. I had similar problems with nocturnal erections which were very painful (both with and without the catheters) and would wake me up.
Avatar n tn I am a bit worried that i could have some sort of disease or somthing wrong inside my body? I have read that laser hair removal could help, it's soo expensive, and I have so many areas to treat. 134578 tn?1546634665 My white cat, Basmati (his photo is in my pictures) has suffered this past couple of years from the sun. He is an indoor-outdoor cat because he sheds like a cheap rug and there is also some spraying going on among the farm cats and I think he's one of them. My husband wouldn't tolerate either thing in the house, and my son is allergic to cats, so Bas and the other farm cats are outdoors a lot, and sleep in a (heated) shed with an in-out door.
Avatar n tn What could be the possible reasons for vaginal bleeding when a woman has not had her uterus or cervix for nearly 12 years? In 1994, I had a total hysterectomy (removal of my uterus, cervix, & one ovary). My cervix was removed because of pre-cancerous tissues. I began experiencing a vaginal discharge in Nov. 2005 after recommencing sexual relations after abstaining for six years. Also in Nov. 2005 I noticed old blood coming from the vaginal area (it was brown) and a slight smell.
Avatar n tn Hello, I had a laparoscopy and ovary and tube removal in mid March and I am still having some pain by my navel incision and by the incision where the ovary was. I think healing takes awhile. Since it has only been a short time for you, I would say, try and be patient with your body.
Avatar n tn I had one laser treatment but it was a freebie and did nothing (SmartXide Dot laser) I've done all this for well over a year and NOTHING has improved. I look like a 40-year-old with an 80-year-old's arms. I live in Canada, so have more opportunity to cover my arms than someone living in Florida and cover them I do. I am embarrassed by them. I feel shocked when I look in the mirror. So ladies, I empathize fully. If I find a solution, I will post for you all.
Avatar n tn I love my hot baths. LOL. I've located a few sites that have before and after pictures. I went to google, under images, and typed in (lipodissolve before after Photo. If I can locate the sites again, i'll post them on here. Good luck.
