Some folks take
Lantus in, say, legs or butt only and take their short acting insulin in abs, for example. Or left-
side, right side.
Finally, here's a trick that pumpers do to try to figure out if our basal (your Lantus) or our bolus (your short-acting) is the culprit. Ask your doc if it's safe for you to try this. On a day when you wake up with a good BG, skip breakfast (and no coffee) AND your morning shot. Take several BG tests thru the morning 'til your normal lunch time.
