7808984 tn?1406684565 I completely understand the need to take them for surgery after something as painful as kidney stones. I also had to take them for a short time after surgery. I experienced some minor withdrawals as well. You know what to do to ease the symptoms. Make sure you are not listening to your head telling you that you need to take anymore. Keep yourself active and your mind occupied. Perhaps it's time to get a meeting in? I wish you continued healing. Stay strong and focused. All the best.
Avatar m tn I just found out, from a CT scan that it is not kidney stones. I am not having trouble with urination nor am I having trouble with bowel movements. My concern is if this is something I need to continue to pursue. The pain is not as bad as it was and I just spent $350 for the doctor to tell me they couldn't see anything wrong. This is a totally new thing to me, any suggestions are welcome!
Avatar f tn I have actual gallbladder stones but quiet for 2 yrs and that is how they better stay. I have numerous small stones in my kidney but most have cleared the past 2yrs ... the largest only 4mm. I am feeling decent for first time in years but I can relate to your pain. Definitely have it checked out with the new symptoms .. I am clueless on those ... heat works best for me, too and hot hot baths with long soaks ... It is draining. We are here for you Fran!!!!
Avatar n tn Have the same feeling in my left foot. started last night. age 29 male Symptoms similar to many posts. "Puring cat" discribes it the best Have a bit of stress, reoccuring back pain (every 4 - 5 months), recently have the feeling of constipation without actually being constipated, had reoccuring UTI's about a year ago (3 occurances), to wich my doctor has but down to a re-occuring fisha?, recently had a fluctuation in blood pressure which has returned to normal now.
Avatar f tn OH, and I have been taking topamax for migranes, which I just found out I should have never, ever been prescribed, as it causes kidney stones. Anyone with kidney problems should never take the drug. So, now I am weaning off of that as well. Thanks for any thoughts.
3183592 tn?1344634338 I squirmed around trying to find any relief, but nothing I did made a difference. I had treated hundreds of patients with kidney stones, but now, I realized, I was the one who was about to wind up in the emergency room. My wife drove me to the hospital where I worked, and I greeted the ER director miserably letting him know that I thought I had a kidney stone.
Avatar n tn For low back pain and abdominal pain, conditions like kidney infections, urinary tract stones, appendicitis, spine disorders have to be ruled out. Seek consult with your primary physician for a complete assessment and diagnostic tests.A warm compress over the area and OTC analgesics may be able to help temporarily. Do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn Have you been checked for kidney stones? They could cause blood in your urine (visible or not).I was misdiagnosed with UTI's before my stones were discovered. Ask for an IVP. They inject dye into you, and x-ray your kidneys as it passes through. Also a 24 hour urine test is a good idea. They can find all kinds of stuff that way. As far as you Dr. goes, be blunt with him about your concerns, and ideas.
Avatar n tn I am pretty sure my prob is on the spine though as when i strech/bent the symptoms get worse. The last few months my right foot feels tired and stiff, some docs say that its stress while others try to blame it on an old marijuana smoking habit that i had (i ve totally quit for 3 years now). The thing is that as some1 else pointed out, i have to adjust to a completely different reality and its difficult.
1916673 tn?1420236870 Everything you have said about symptoms are connected with the kidney disease. The lumps could be cancerous, but I have to say they may not be, because old dogs get lumps just like old humans. Sometimes they are cancerous, sometimes not. In a way, these are secondary to the kidney disease, which needs to be the priority for now. I am always surprised when vets put dogs with CKF on dry dog food. This really is not good.
1216899 tn?1288573925 With all the sites out there that have info on Vitamin D, their just doesn't seem to be one that has all the symptoms that can accompany vitamin d deficiency. I'm going to list my symptoms, so that others may have some insight, in layman's terms. I hope anyone else with the deficiency would also post theirs.
Avatar n tn 2004 - July, hospitalized with numbness on right side of body, Ana was really high, checked heart (told looked really god); anemic (6.4) given blood transfusion; checking for Lupus. 2004 - August, kidney stones (so calcified they showed up on x-ray). 2004 - September, pregnant. 2004 - October, pain so severe in right hip, could hardly walk, told it was ligament pain; Glucose tolerance test done, referred to endocrinologist for insulin.
Avatar n tn I had mine inserted this past Feb. I just started having the exact same symptoms. I am going to take a hpt. Let me know if you find out whats causing your problems.
Avatar n tn I mean he totally missed my husband’s kidney stones because he just didn’t listen. We had to end up in the ER, and get referred to a specialist before something was done. We live in a really small town and there’s only one group of Docs and no one else will see you, so there’s no second opinions, or going to a different ance of temporary blindness in her (I can’t remember what eye). OK, well that happened to me! Maybe these Dr. I appreciate any incite or advice you all might have.
600910 tn?1219731969 I went to the ER the second time I ever got the pain, but at the time I didn't have insurance so they didn't want to run any test and told me it was kidney stones and would pass. Well it turned out it wasn't and never did. So that began my journey of seeing many, many doctors. I've had every test done that I can imagine. They all came back fine, except on my first scan they said I had a cyst on my left ovary. Then they gave me an ultrasound and said there wasn't anything. Confusing huh?
Avatar n tn I'm having withdrawal symptoms I didn't expect. Light headedness, the runs, blood pressure going up, and general fatigue. Lots of fatigue. And some irritability. I am hoping that these symptoms begin to decrease soon. Well, they have gotten better than it was in the first 2 days. I am still wondering how long I can expect to have these side effects of withdrawal?
Avatar n tn Diagnosed with A-fib (paroxysmal, no followups to determine cause), one incident of kidney stones (with family history), tubes put in ears - right ear needed surgical extraction after 15 years. Again, I am particularly interested in knowing what cross-reflex neuropathic symptoms such as this would be called in particular, so I can more accurately research this myself. Any other help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Avatar f tn I'm now pregnant again and have been told after my scan last week that my kidney is more calcified than before but no hydronaphrosis or stones or infection to explain my pains. I'm worried this is cancer because for the last 4 months I've started getting blood in my stool yellow stool and yellow mucus and frequent diarrhoea I had a sigmoid colonoscopy thing but because I'm pregnant they didn't go in very far to investigate due to risks of miscarriage.
608161 tn?1221619623 It started off with dizziness (vertigo) and off-balancement last November (going on a year). In addition to those symptoms I have been developing more and more "tingling sensations/numbness" in my left hand left three fingers, left foot, right side of my face and neck, and right below my right shoulder blade are the most popular places this happens, I have what I call "hot flashes", I also have a lot of muscle twitching in my neck, arm, and left eye.
Avatar f tn No females in my family have urinary problems only my uncle and grandpa have had (prostate) problems. I learned I have tiny kidney stones in my right kidney. Will this cause urinary problems such as frequent urination (I sleep through the night), sometimes burns and back pain? I had a UTI and when I finished antibiotic I still had symptoms. I went to a different doctor who sent me to get ultrasound of bladder, uterer and kidneys 'cause urine from lab came back with no problems.
Avatar m tn I asked my MS neuro about surgery on my foot, because I already have sympathetic damage to that foot, plus the weakness and spasticity because I was worried about triggering a severe pain syndrome called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome or (priorly) Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. He stated there should be NO problem in getting the foot fixed to normalize my gait. Now, guarantees??? Silly rabbit. I just offer that statistically and per my neuro there is no great danger.
Avatar n tn The problem is sometimes those pregnancy symptoms are an awful lot like period symptoms (it's a bummer that nature works that way). But either way, I started having sore breasts and slight nausea within about a week or so after my IUI. The IUI worked and I did get pregnant... so although everyone is different, the symptoms started rather early for me. We'll cross our fingers for you and hopefully you'll have some good news in a week or so!
Avatar n tn I just went to the dr for the same thing and they sent me to the hospital thinking it could be my appendix turned out it wasn't but that it was kidney stones I would definitely talk to your doctor about it to be safe
Avatar f tn Ever since age 10 ive been hospitalized for kidney infections, utis, kidney stones. Which seem to get worse with age. No diet has helped I guess im just lucky. Well as of 2010 I had gotten a severe I mean severe illness went to er when I felt half past dead.and after a ton of fun tests they find my right kidney has a major block. A giant kidney stone has completely obstructed my kidney. I get a referral to a urologist who then puts me on percs and an antibiotic.
Avatar m tn pylori was eradicated successfully and so were the symptoms, i do have fatty food intolerance, kidneys have been tested and are fine. without inflamation or stones and having chronic gallbladder dyskinesia, there must be other symptoms other then fatty foot intolerance without stones or inflamation? is gallbladder dyskinesia dangrous without stones and inflamation?
Avatar m tn Hello, Testicular pain can be due to injury, infection (Epididymitis or Orchitis) or inflammation, testicular torsion -- most common in young men between 10 and 20 years old, excessive bicycle riding, varicocele, hernia or kidney or ureteric stones. Considering your symptoms epididymitis or orchitis need to be ruled out. Get an evaluation done from a urologist to confirm the diagnosis.
353766 tn?1258827332 Hi, Differentials for your boyfriend's case are ureteral and kidney stones, hydrocele, varicocele, a hernia and a hematoma. I suggest that he seek consult with a urologist for a complete assessment.A urinalysis may rule out possible stones in the urinary tract or an underlying infection. A scrotal ultrasound may be able to ascertain the underlying cause of the lump.Hydrocele and varicocele may present as scrotal lumps. A hydrocele may present as a large pear shaped lump in the scrotum.
Avatar m tn My appetite has diminished as have my energy levels, I have a feint headache, low sex drive and people have noticed that I have lost weight slightly. I am concerned that this may be kidney stones, stress related (my job has been very stressful for the last few years) or that there may be an underlying more serious medical issue. Can anyone advise on what they consider these symptoms may represent?
Avatar m tn No yellowing of the skin, tongue, or eyes. What are these symptoms typical of? I'm 6 foot tall and 230 pounds (gained 30 pounds in six months). I smoked in the past, but I recently quit. I do drink, and for the past two or three months I've been drinking almost daily (1-2 glasses of red semi-sweet wine). My diet is pretty poor. I thoroughly enjoy sweets, and have been eating them in excess often for the past six months. Could this enlargement be temporary due to my diet and drinking?
