Kidney stones and distilled water

Common Questions and Answers about Kidney stones and distilled water

kidney-stones

Avatar n tn Someone said they thought distilled water can cause kidney stones. They were wrong. Hard water is the cause of kidney stones and cataracts and distilled water is the cure. My cousin had cataracts at 50 yr of age because he only drank tap water because some bimbo told him distilled water was bad for him. He had to have cataracts removed from both eyes at 50 because he was so blind he could not see the the biggest letter on the eye chart.
Avatar f tn It took a while but the pain I was having was finally diagnosed as a kidney stone and I have another symptomatic one in the other kidney. But I wonder if kidney stones cause anemia because I suddenly became anemic just over a year ago and we have not been able to find a cause. Although I had occult blood in my urine due to the stone, it was not a lot. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this too or if anyone might know if stones can cause anemia?
Avatar n tn Since I drink 1 to 2 gallons of distilled water a day, before this I usually urinated maybe a maximum of four to five times a day. The groin pain increased to a level of unbearable, then I slipped on some water that was leaking from a cooler at a drug store picking up (you guessed it) a gallon of water. I twisted my leg and groin when I fell, and the pain was incredibly severe. I iced it, and after a day or two the pain went away.
1660289 tn?1302560398 I am feeding her Innova Senior canned now and California Naturals Chicken/Rice, which is a much higher quality. She also gets only distilled water, and I give her carrots for treats. I don't have the time or the patience to make home cooked meals every day, so that is not an option really. My question is what is the best "over the counter" canned food to support a dog who is prone to get bladder stones? Let's just assume they are the calcium oxalate type until I know for sure.
2361255 tn?1339611918 Put the big ice cube in a bowl, and he may enjoy licking it, much like a Popsicle. Or how about Distilled Water with a Popsicle that was melted in it...? I know my dogs enjoy chipped ice...they think it is a real treat.
Avatar n tn I've been told that everyone should drink a gallon of water every day. That's 128 ounces. This is because kidney stones are on the rise, and believe me, you don't want to experience kidney stones. It's one of the most painful things you can experience. The ER doctors told me that in the summer, when it's hot out and people lose water through perspiration, the number of people who come in to ER with kidney stones increases dramatically, and all because they don't drink enough water.
Avatar f tn The mineral content in the water calcifies in you kidneys and creates stones. 2 years of drinking and cooking with distilled water and no more stones. YOUR WATER IS CAUSING YOUR CALCIUM STONES.. DRINK AND COOK WITH DISTILLED WATER. IT IS A DOLLAR A GALLON AT THE GROCERY STORE AND YOU'LL NEVER HAVE STONES AGAIN.
Avatar f tn I have a friend who has kidney stones and his doctor said that he is not drinking enough water. I am sure that is not the only reason. There are probably other factors at play. I would try to go to the site that Lynn indicated and please try to see a doctor.
5288248 tn?1370882123 Thanks for the update. Kidney stones and now a stint? Talk about MAJOR PAIN, girl.....wishing you a successful surgery. We'll be here when you get that stone outta ya! And if you aren't already, drink LOTS and LOTS of water (good water). My hubby has had LOTS of stones and then an "out of nowhere" surprise yrs later with Stage 3 Kidney disease. He is improving.......and drinking LOTS of distilled water!
Avatar n tn BUT the way i found out about my prostate stones was while I was receiveing treatment for kidney stones altho I don't think they are connected but i'm not sure... with my kidney stones i dont worry about my prostate stones but it(prostate) contracts while releasing semen causeing pain and what could be descibed as burning...good luck and drink lots of BOTTLED water from a spring or distilled water after proof reading your inquiry about your testicle..I WOULD NOT WAIT..
233616 tn?1312790796 I use a carbon water filter to get rid of the chlorine taste. I work with different breweries and they all use tap water and they make some of the best beers in the world!
Avatar m tn Distilled water is high energy water. Natural sources of distilled water are rainwater and glacier water - too polluted to use today. http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/distilledwater.
5288248 tn?1370882123 Welcome back, Angie. You've had quite the ride with medical issues for sure! Now if all of this is behind you....and you are on Day 6 once again...you can GO FOR IT...and it can be your last time, huh? GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Yep, the restless body, depression and feelings of regret are overwhelming....but they will pass....they truly will. Nothing last forever except our addictions...haha.....
Avatar n tn I also take Colace daily and stay on a high fiber diet and drink a LOT of water. I hope this helps a little - I didn't realize so many others are suffering from similar issues. Best of luck to all of you.
4626633 tn?1382600722 History I was put on lortab 3 1/2 years ago for bladder disease and a condition which makes me produce and pass kidney stones often.. Sometimes 4-5 stones a month. A year later a bad car wreck messed my back up, and I need surgery now, but can't get until fall. My RX's always lasted.. But only because I would take 1 pill on days I was home. Which, due to an autoimmne disorder was often. I developed that a year before being prescribed the pills.
Avatar m tn So of us however, struggle with chronic kidney stones and infection! I am included in that group! Both of my kidneys are soo fulls of stones they can not count them! I also have a bad chronic infection that started with a very resistant hospital infection... so I am the exception not the norm!
Avatar n tn suggested, I took prescribed eye drops, fish oil, washed my eyes with SterileLid eye cleanser, and a wash rag with warm water, and my eyes were much better, but the skin around the eyes became dry and it's when I developed the redness on the skin. I also read somewhere else, about the cracked lips, and some people say that it could be from anemia.
690241 tn?1227390813 I have to run offline, but for starters I have gallstones, thyroid, and skin cancer issues, recurring UTI's and kidney stones ..........along with this MSK. but all well maintained and 100% healthy! I had micro blood and atypical cells in my urine but thankfully no cancer .. the cells were inflammatory from all the movement inside the medullary of the kidney changing their structure. Key to MSK is finding a good doc and shopping around ..............I went thru 2 to find the one I like a lot!
Avatar f tn Drink lots of water... and honestly distilled or purified water is best, some wells, can contain bacteria as well as things like lime etc. and city water is chlorinated which can irritated the bladder too. Cranberry is one of the things that we all here is so great for bladder infections but in an inflamed bladder it can make your symptoms worse. One suggestions is to try something called D-Mannose.
Avatar m tn Distilled water is the best water for you. Bottled water is hard on the kidneys and so is tap water. Distilled is the purest form and you can get it at the grocery store for .99cents for a gallon. It's the easiest on your kidneys. Drink 6-8 ounces per day so it flushes your kidneys. Keep a water bottle with you all the time. Again the goal is to keep your kidneys healthy as you can. Once you get in to secondary illness that's when FM gets hard to manage.
Avatar m tn I found a remedy of a short 3 days of fasting with distilled water and drinking lemon juice and olive oil before bed each of the 3 nights...cause the stones to soften and pass right into the toilet!!! Dozens of emerald green/black stones. Not to mention I lost a few unwanted pounds in the process. Do it on a weekend or a time when you don't have to be on the go... Later had an ultrasound done and there were none.
Avatar m tn Buy a one-gallon plastic bottle of distilled or osmosis-purified water. I always buy distilled, because the water has been boiled. The water usually has an expiration date. Don’t buy a regular bottle of regular drinking water or spring water. This water contains more contaminants than you think—not enough to make you sick if you drink it, but you don’t want to add them to the other germs you are working to get out of your sinuses. Buy some table salt without iodine.
12980073 tn?1429819661 We have also started distilled water when we can, but with 4 dogs, it can be challenge to keep up with their water needs and keeping the distilled water in every bowl in the house. I also started adding a little Beet Pulp Pellets to her food (I take 1-2 pellets and soak them in warm water for about an hour and then add the broken down pellets to her food).
Avatar n tn Ultrasound also revealed gall stones and multiple kidney stones.......maybe I'm not in decent health after all [?].....but I don't feel bad. I assume that I contracted my hepC while getting vaccinated in the military or in getting a tattoo, during my teen age years. That's 40+yrs that I've had this evil monster lurking inside me! I've done a few drugs in my younger years and have had my bouts with alcohol and after turning 50, I slowed down my indulgences.
670955 tn?1226601500 Keep in mind that grains such as corn, wheat and even rice provide low-cost calories, their high carbohydrate content contributes to obesity, diabetes, kidney stones/struvite crystals, behavior problems, allergies, skin/coat problems and a host of other health problems in cats and dogs. There is a myth that high protein foods are bad for pets and cause kidney problems. First it is important that you give your pet a high quality protein.
Avatar f tn Now its nearly 2 weeks and I have a little nausea but the thing that is driving me totally insane now is the restlessness in my legs and the pain in my back. I spend all night tossing and turning and trying to get comfortable and then I get so angry that I can't get to sleep. It is getting a little easier. I think I had really high expectations, I think I was expecting to be over this a lot quicker.
Avatar n tn I wake up dreaming I have been stabbed and covered in sweat. I get up, eat a few saltine crackers and drink a glass of water and the pain is GONE immediately. I am also chronically constipated but have been all my life. I have been scoped and checked for ulcers and the only finding is that on CT my bile ducts are dialted. This can be normal so I'm told after gb removal surger.
Avatar n tn Cut out tons of sugar and lots of carbs and of course no soda and lots of lemon water. Salad for supper 95% of the time. So with that being said, it does sound likely that my body is throwing off fat or cholesterol stuff. Mine actually looks like a grape and with the same texture. At this point i don't think I'll worry about it. But i just happen to have a colonoscopy scheduled for today, so I'll probably mention it.
Avatar n tn First they thought it was a kidney stone becasue I also noticed pain in my groin and there was some blodd in my urine (but later they told me 0-3 whaich is completely normal). They took rxrays and then I was sent for an IVP. Apparently both showed no kidney stones. Next they sent me for a pelvic ultrasound (although the pain is not in my pelvis; it is higher up near my ribcage and navel and around into my back where it feels like a muscle spasm and sometimes up into my shoulder blade.
