Common Questions and Answers about Kariva skip period

Avatar f tn Last Wednesday I got my period, and I began taking Kariva Birth Control. On friday, My boyfriend and I decided to have sex, which was dumb, but we used a condom with spermicide on it and in it. After a little bit, the condom popped and he pulled out immediately without ejaculating at all. Then we were finished. I know that people say that girls can get pregnant on their periods, however, i was only on the 3rd day of my cycle and i highly doubt that i could have ovulated so early...
Avatar m tn t get your period in a week, take a test to be sure but that you took plan B is probably what has made your period delayed which is very common. It's hormones so it upsets your system and women often have a full two cycles of irregular periods.
Avatar f tn Okay, so I am a seventeen year old girl and I recently started the Yasmin Birth Control Pill. My doctor told me to start taking the Yellow pill (hormone pill) on the first day of my period which I found a little confusing as it is meant to stop your period.
Avatar f tn Hi- I am a 17 year old girl and I have been on birth control pills for a little over a year and a half now. I was originally prescribed Ortho-Tricyclen Lo but was switched to Kariva in May of this year because it was said to be the "less expensive generic brand" of Tricyclen Lo. I always felt a little more irritable and noticed my skin got a little more sensitive when I originally started taking the pill, but nothing too bad.
Avatar n tn does anyone else get this....they happen around period time....and sometimes after....my heart will go skip beat skip beat skip beat skip beat...for like 10 to 15 seconds...it's really slow...not a fast skip beat skip beat...but it's very annoying...
Avatar m tn m a 21 year old who just stopped the pill after 5 years of being on it consistently. In October I was switched from Azzurette to Kariva, just a generic brand switch. I hated it and decided to go natural and stop the pill all-together around November 13. I got my "withdrawal period" right after.
11728532 tn?1451774466 Hi there, I'm an 18 y/o female and I have taken birth control ( Kariva -- to be specific) since I was 15 to treat PCOS. About a month ago, I had intercourse and afterwards I bled heavily and had cramps for a week. I should not have gotten my period for another two weeks according to my pills. When I took the pills that started my period, It was very light and ended two days early. We used a condom but I'm scared.
Avatar f tn I meetin with my fiancé for the holiday on Tuesday 17 and I just realized I will be on my periods or that week is there anything I can do to skip or have an early period before 16 don't want to spoil my Christmas holiday
Avatar f tn I have been on birth control for a year now and I decided I was going to skip my period, because my boyfriend was coming in town for the weekend. Everything went fine and I did not have my period, but now I am feeling the consequences. I am now on the second week of my new pack and I am spotting like crazy and my breast are very sore and larger than normal. Also, I am breaking out pretty bad and just feel very tired. I was wondering if there is any way I could be pregnant?
Avatar f tn I have an irregular period, so I know I skip this month. Would I still be able to use this app, to help determine the best fertility time for me to get pregnant?
Avatar f tn I started taking YAZ 5 1/2 weeks ago and was told by my doctor that I could not take the placebo pills and continue through with the regular pills so that I could skip my period that was scheduled to happen while on vacation. I am scheduled for my vacation in 8 days and yesterday started my period even though I am taking the pills with no missed dose and no white ones. Its more than spotting, more like a somewhat light period.
Avatar n tn Women can skip periods sometimes for no reason or, because of being sick, stressed or several other reasons. You may want to make an appointment with your Dr to find out what's going on.
Avatar f tn Sometimes women just skip a period for no reason, or are late. A number of things can cause you to skip such as certain antiobioditics, stress, poor diet.
Avatar f tn s not something that I really want to deal with on our one year anniversary, so I was wanting to either skip or delay my period. I am on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen, which is a triphasic pill. I have tried skipping my period before by just taking a new pack before I started my period, but I had break through bleeding. After doing some research, I found that that isn't the best way to skip your period on a triphasic pill.
Avatar n tn If you were my patient, I would advise you to start your new pack of pills at the time you would normally be taking your placebo (sugar) pills. That should allow you to skip that period, and just have a normal one at the end of the new pack. Good luck!
Avatar f tn t forget, stress can make you skip a period too! Just be careful and take care of yourself.
Avatar n tn s to put me on a Z-Pack. This was back in October (Oct. 27th to be exact). That week I was supposed to get my period on October 31 like I always do. Typically my period lasts between 3 and 4 days with it being heavy on the first day and lighter the next 2 or 3 because I switched to Kariva 2 years ago in August. I didn't get my period till Saturday and when I did get it, it only lasted about a day (almost half a day), but I did get it.
Avatar n tn If you skip your period when it's supposed to come. Then you might be pregnant. But just for now, take a pregnancy test.
Avatar f tn Anyway I was thinking of taking them to skip that period but do not know the best way to go about it. Should I just start taking the day my period begins( which is what the doctor said) or can I wait until about a week or two before my period to come to start and hopefully still skip it without having the bc in my system for too long? I know it says you can start BC anyday if you know for sure you are not pregnant.
Avatar f tn If you mean, can you skip the placebo pills (the 4 white ones at the end of week 4) in order to skip having your period, yes. As always there may be some spotting, but in order to skip your period, you can throw away the 4 white pills and start a new pack on day 24 instead. I'm not a doctor, but this was what I was told when I asked my healthcare provider.
Avatar f tn A few months before this, I began having issues with my cycle. I wasn’t getting my period, I got my period early plus the full week I was supposed to, and then I was spotting several days a month. I then found out I had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and started treatment hoping that would help. I didn't. I went on Portia 28 for 5 months, Junel 1.5 30 tab for 3 months and now I’m on Junel 1/20. Next week will be the end of the 2nd month on that for me.
Avatar n tn My 10 years old daughter got her first period in January this year, but it seams that it is too frequent. Until now the period between 2 cycles is less than 28 days, approximately 15-20 days, light and of red-brown color. Is it normal?

Avatar f tn I’m currently on sprintec for birth control and i like to skip the last week in the pack to prevent bleeding. When i do this i do not have enough pills to keep taking the next pack. My pharmacy will not refill until it’s time. What can i do?
Avatar f tn It's not that uncommon for women to either skip or miss a period sometimes. If you're under stress, been sick, changed your diet or have made any other changes it can delay your period. If you don't get it soon you may want to see your Dr.
