Avatar n tn I had breast implants in 1987. I have over the past few years developed muscle stiffness joint pain and forgetfullness.last april I begain having pain in my lower extremities and muscular twitching. this twitching is now all over.I also have blurred vision. I went to my MD who did blood work which was normal and he did nothing further, however I now feel inceasingly worse. I went to my OBGYN and she thinks one of my implants is leaking.
Avatar n tn There are many possible explanations for pain and/or discomfort. Most breast cancer is not painful. Without evaluation, it is impossible to speculate on what may be causing your discomfort. The only way to get a better idea is to have it evaluated by a doctor.
Avatar n tn Hi there. Ruptured breast implants can have varied presentations. The presentation can be as benign as just an asymmetry outside the breast contour, to as severe as inflammation, swelling, pain and infection of the surrounding breast tissues. However, the best way to evaluate this is by having diagnostic imaging tests such as a breast ultrasound or an MRI. I would suggest that you have the breasts examined by a doctor as the presentation can really be diverse. Regards.
Avatar f tn It costs as much to have the implants removed and have a breast lift as it does to have implants. Right now you could probably get reasonable FIXED RATE financing to have this done. Ask at the Doctors office, look on the net for reviews of this sort of thing... When I had my implants removed, I also had a mastopexy (or breast lift). I was very happy with my results and very glad to have the effects from the silicon gradually disappear.
Avatar f tn I got breast implants after my 3rd baby (thinking I was done) but later down the road decided we wanted one more. I know a lot of ppl breast feed and everything with them but I have so much more breast pain since I got pregnant. I'm guessing just the normal changes your boobs go through being pregnant plus those implants in there are causing the pain. But now I'm getting super worried about when milk comes in? Is that just going to be unbearable?
Avatar n tn I am considering breast implants, i have spoke to my surgeon and he said it was wise to consult a doctor. I am in the process of switching rheumatologist. I also was reading about a chemical in some people called HLA-B27 that makes them very sick if they get breast implants. Could you tell me what my risks and complications would be if i were to go through with this procedure?
Avatar f tn I am a 32 year old female with breast implants (under the muscle). I had them done almost 10 years ago and want to have them re-done. I found out about a year ago during a mammogram that I have a cyst in my right breast and now I can feel another one in my left breast. Do you think that I need to have these cysts removed before I decide to have my breasts re-done or could the plastic surgeon remove them during the surgery?
453893 tn?1205863401 If it is scar tissue, it is removed surgically or excised by your breast surgeon. You could try some warm compresses, breast massage and pain relief medications till then. Let us know whether pain relief medications help in your case. Keep us posted about what your doctor advises. Regards.
Avatar n tn I am suppose to have breast implants put in in one month and i am freaking out that it is going to hurt like crazy. I have been on suboxone for seven years now and don't know if there will be anything strong enough to touch the pain after my surgery. I think I have bulit up such a resistence to opiates. Is there anything I can take after the surgery to help with the pain?
Avatar n tn I had small (350cc) saline implants put in immediately. My question is, is it usual to be in so much pain 3 weeks later? My incisions are fine but the muscle pain is still quite severe especially when I have been sleeping and then sit up. It almost feels as though the implants have turned into rocks that are sticking to my chest wall. I massage the implants every few hours and it does give relief for about 60 seconds then I I feel everything start to tighten up again.
Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with Fibrocystic breast disease, I've also been wanting to get breast implants for a while but now I don't know if implants are a good idea? Do you know if implants would interfere with this disease? Any comment/ suggestion is greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn I had my augmentation 9 months ago and when i had it done my right breast suffered a bad hematoma and it took a long time for it to settle down. However my left breast feels as if it is part of my body where as my right one i can still feel the implant when i lay on my tummy and generally feels uncomfortable. I must stress i have no pain just the feeling that its not part of my body and can feel very uncomfortable at times will this settle down or am i just going to have to accept it?
Avatar f tn hey, I have a major dilema! I have a cyst in my breast causing major pain and want to get ot aspirated is this still possible considering I have implants? I am also 6 weeks pregnant and cant take anything but panadol for the pain im going insane...

Avatar f tn Hi. I am 34 years old and have had saline filled breast implants for 12 years now. For the past few months I have had severe left side chest pain, back pain and left arm tingling. I now have high blood pressure and tachycardia and am on a beta-blocker for this. Recent labs show a high Rheumatoid factor and very high IgG. I am currently under the care of a cardiologist for the chest pain and will be doing further testing soon.
Avatar n tn I wanted to know if anyone has had breast implants and have breast fed. Or just what kind of things did you go thru while pregnant, with implants, will it hurt more than without? Did you have a problem with breastfeeding? I had my first son without implants and before feedings(engorement) I remember much pain...this was 9 years ago. I do have the clear liquid already so I know I can breastfeed I think it's called colustrum...but I don't know if it will prevent my baby from getting enough milk.
Avatar f tn I got breast implants that went bad. I healed up beautifully until 5 weeks post surgery. I had a blister under my right breast that continuously leaked clear plasma after it was lanced for a culture. A week later my left breast developed the same phenomenon (I say that because my culture came back clean, no infection!
Avatar n tn Hi there! I initially had breast augmentation with saline implants in '98. In '02 I decided to go a little bigger.(Mcghan 390cc filled to 430 cc's) Dr. said I was borderline for needing lift, but thought implants alone would be sufficient. The first couple of years they looked great, but now my nipple is looking a little low on breast mound. I was wondering if I had lift if I could get away with using same implants, or do I need a new set? If I got new ones could I get silicone?
Avatar f tn Try some OTC pain relief medications, breast massage, breast exercises and local application of analgesic for the pain. Do let us know what your doctor tells you. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Avatar n tn Also breast pain is not normally associated with breast cancer particularly if the pain is bilateral. Cyclical breast pain accounts for nearly 75% of all breast complaints.Even though you had a hysterectomy and if you have one ovary left, it would still produce hormones in your body that could cause breast tenderness. If both ovaries were also removed, then the breast pain is non-cyclical.
Avatar n tn My periods are regular and on time. Two months ago right before my period I felt a sharp pain in my lower, right breast and now if I mess with it it hurts..if I leave it alone it seems ok other than a "full"feeling. I felt a little pain in the same area of my right breast at the same time 2 periods ago but not quite as bad. I was told I had fatty tissue in one of my breasts after one of my mammos but cannot remember which breast.
Avatar f tn Hello, Breast implants can cause change in weight but your back problems seem unrelated to the implants. The commonest causes of chronic low back pain are lumbar strain, nerve irritation, bone and joint conditions (arthritis), osteoporosis, lumbar radiculopathy, narrowing or stenosis of the spinal cord cavity. Even bad posture can lead to low back pain.
Avatar n tn I don't want to scare you...I work in the medical profession also and know how scary it can be. However, please do not assume everything is ok just because breast cancer doesn't "usually" cause pain. I had pain in my right breast probably for about 6 months before I had it checked out. I thought it was my underwire bra too, then cysts. I did not initially feel a lump either, so I did not think it was cancer.
Avatar f tn I'm a 40 single hispanice female that just recently was diagnosed with a walnut size Fibroid Adenoma in my right breast. I currently have silicone breast implants. My doctor gave me 3 options: have just the fibroid removed, leave it alone or all together have my implants taken out and the fibroid removed at the same time. I'm not sure what to do, anyone have a similar situation??? Any feedback would be great...
