Hysterectomy and knee pain

Common Questions and Answers about Hysterectomy and knee pain

Avatar n tn One time she went to ER due to the pain and was told that it was a kidney stone. However the stone passed and the problem continued. And quite honestly the stone was very tiny. Is this something you have heard of before? Although they seem like very seperate problems, the irony of it always happening at the same exact time I would say has to be very rare.

Avatar f tn I've been having these knee pains for the longest, at first my mom took me to an doctor with said it was growing pains! I am grow now with the same pains it's mostly hurts after sex now. When I apply pressure it seems to feel better and mostly left leg, I had an hysterectomy earlier this year thinking maybe from fibro tumors, I don't know what an mystery!
Avatar f tn Do you have any hip or ankle pain (both hip and ankle pain can refer pain to the knee, and vice versa)? Keep me informed. Bye.
Avatar m tn I am able to exercise now but I'm very lethargic and depressed. I have no libido. I have a lot of pain in my left knee and both hands for no apparent reason, I weighed 123 lbs the day of surgery and 109 when I finally left the hospital. I have gained back 3-5 lbs. I would like to know your opinion. When will I feel myself again, if ever? I was always very healthy, exercised and a non smoker. My son died of Hepatoblastoma at age 2 1/2.
Avatar f tn I had a complete hysterectomy 2 years ago. I started having lower back & pain in hips and rt. leg, buttock within 10 weeks. I started with a burning sensation in lower back during sleep. Continued getting worse waking me. I started having trouble walking with much weekness on rt. side, but have times when hips lock or cause me not to be able to move my feet. I can't take normal sized stairs now, I have to pull myself or take them sideways.
Avatar f tn The area of sensitivity travels a few inches above my knee and onto my leg. The area sometimes tingles after walking on the treadmill. I do not have any pain. I would say the feeling is similar to numbness but the area is not completely numb. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago and was wondering if there was some nerve damage from surgery. I am 48 years old. Any thoughts on the cause would be appreciated. I am concerned about brain or spinal malignant tumor.
Avatar f tn In 2010 I had a total hysterectomy and salpingo-oopherectomy. Since the surgery I have had what my surgeon called "compression neuropathy". I have pain and numbness/tingling in my left leg and knee. My surgeon said this was common but I have not been able to find out much about it. I see a pain doctor because the problem has not resolved. I was unable to walk for the first several months after surgery. I had to use a walker.
Avatar f tn I have had no end of low back and knee pain since my hysterectomy. I was fine before my surgery. Now I'm messed up and want answers as to the cause and what solutions there are, if any. Hope you find the help you need with your problems.
Avatar f tn That is weird....I had a Total Hysterectomy 4 months ago and I still have pain in my incision area. I had a 10 cm mass that was twisting my left ovary and I am wandering if I have nerve damage where the ovary was. It's kinda poofy and hurts when I press on that area. I also have a bulging disc in L4/L5, my back hurts and my left leg radiates from my hip down to my knee cap. My surgeon doesn't have any answers for me. I have been going to a Wellness doc and a Chiropractor.
888637 tn?1241038507 I don't have a child and I'd like one as soon as I'm pain free, or at least the option to have one. I've had pain and heavy bleeding with no known cause since I was 20. I'm now 34. At age 29 two different doctors said, "Ah, it was endometriosis". I was dubious as it seemed to be the catch all for any unexplained pain.
Avatar n tn If you don't want to try a Chiroproactor, try sleeping with a pillow between your knees when you are on you side and under your knees when you are on your back. It helped me with the pain and the backache.
Avatar n tn a growth on my ovary that continued growing over 3 months. After pain for 6 months off and on and a trip to the emergency room, with pain so severe it made me double over, it was found on a CAT scan that I had a good size cyst that they thought burst. When I went to my OBGYN and had a vaginal sonogram they found not a cyst that had burst but one that doubled in size from the 2 weeks prior trip to the emergency room.
Avatar f tn I have a Hx. of Bilateral Knee osteoarthritis and D.D.D. of the spine, due to old athletic injuries. MY Gyn. told me to stop the hormones, because I developed two small raised lesions on my biceps, which turned out to be Ok. I was mostly dissatisfied with the extra weight gain. I would like to have a healthy libido again, without pain. I feel like the 3 OB-GYNS I have seen in the past year, (same group) want to do nothing but surgery. But I am still not sure what to do. The last Dr.
Avatar n tn My mom had a complete hysterectomy a year ago and now she is having the same pain that she had before the surgery. She says that the pain is coming from her internal scar. Her gynocologist keeps giving her yeast infection creams, which doesnt help her at all, and he keeps saying that there is nothing left that could cause her pain and that the scar is healed. Well, things just got even worse because two days ago she started bleeding, and everyday a little bit more.
1931832 tn?1398884049 but the thing is the pain and numbness reappears if I stopped the pain reliever. My question is, does the pain has to do with my hormones? do I need to take hormonal replacement pills? Will it lessen the pain on my knees as well? I dont wanna be independent on drugs specifically pain relievers..I need help..please.
Avatar f tn Some things to try is sleeping with a pillow between your knees and try upping your sodium and potassium intake - chips and bananas. That worked for me. Good luck!
Avatar m tn It continues to be controlled by this horrid back of knee pain. I had an MRi and all it showed was some wear and tear which was not major. It also showed a very small Baker's Cyst and another type of cyst which all those medical people involved say would not produce the shock-type of pain. So, back to my primary doctor. Now he is going to refer me to Southern Illinois Univ. (school of medicine I think),in Springfield to another neurologist and to see if I can get a Botox injection in my knee.
Avatar f tn I had a hysterectomy in feb 2008 and i am 35 yrs old. since my surgery i have had extreme abdominal pain, back pain, leg pain, insomnia and grion pain. My doctor really can't find anything wrong with me. He now says its neuropathic pain syndrome but I'm really not sure what to believe any more. what can i do? Please help.....
Avatar n tn I'm obese and have had numerous other health problems including IBS, Hypothyroidism, hx borderline Ovarian Cancer (prognosis for that is excellent), hx abdominal surgeries for hernias and hysterectomy, severe arthritis in spine and right knee, etc. For several years my left knee has been acting up off and on. I injured both knees within a week or each other after falling in '95.
Avatar f tn Upon follow up he saw a slight herniation at my bra line which he said was uncommon but not unheard of. By the follow up the pain had spread to my right hip, knee, and foot. He told me to rotate ice and heat and to continue the prednisone therapy. I continued to not get any better. The pain got worse no matter how much rest I was getting and the cognitive symptoms were worsening as well. He referred me to a neurologist.
Avatar f tn If you are taking calcium supplements then consider stopping/reducing, as calcium is likely to be responsible for causing your vertigo (and high salt intake will exacerbate the effect). I was prescribed calcium post-hysterectomy and started getting vertigo/stiff muscles and heart irregularities. They all stopped when I quit taking calcium and switched to Vitamin D.
Avatar n tn I did receive an ESI and also an S1 injection a few months back which totally obliterated my leg, knee, ankle and foot pain and weakness. So, that tells me that those levels are my pain generators. The next step would be to get an L5 FACET injection and a determination made if I have a SI Joint Dysfunction. I am still in that process but have to wait awhile until after my cervical fusion.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am 41 years of age and had a radical hysterectomy (everything but vagina/vaginal cuff was taken) on October 26th. My doctor ran bloodwork yesterday, a complete blood count and sed rate. Complete blood count was perfectly normal, sed rate was 30, normal is 0-20. Sometimes I run a higher than normal sed rate ever so slightly due to IgA Deficient related inflammatory diarrhea flares that comes and go. I do not have Crohns or UC, nothing like that.
Avatar n tn or I have been told that the endemetrious i had could have been that problem. Well I have since had a hysterectomy and the pain did not go away.I do not know what to do it does not matter if I sit, stand, walk it does not matter.I would love any ideas you have because some days it is more than I can stand.
Avatar f tn Is this thread still open to comments? I searched for "thigh pain" and "ovarian cancer" and found this thread. I have been getting terrible thigh pain on the left side that also seems to make it weak and hard to walk. I assumed it was as yet undiagnosed muscle problem, until I realized that I had undiagnosed pelvic pain for 14 months, and the thigh pain seems to be worse during ovulation.
