Avatar n tn I have been having pelvic pain for over a week and the physician said that my pain is where my uterus use to be and told me that my body thinks that I am going to have a menstrual cycle and this is causing the discomfort. Please advise.
Avatar f tn A study published in 2008 showed that these problems can develop up to at least 8 years after the ablation and increase the risk for hysterectomy (to resolve the pelvic pain). I recall a woman saying that a gynecologist at a renowned east coast institution told her the procedure should not be done on women under age 50. I hope you can get resolution without having to undergo hysterectomy which has its own set of short and long-term problems.
Avatar n tn I had a hysterectomy in May-kept my ovaries. I am having severe pain in lower left pelvic area.
Avatar n tn That can be caused by many things including ovarian cyst, endometriosis. It is best when having pain in that area to contact your GYN and make an appt. with them.

Avatar f tn As I write this my battery for the pelvic floor pacemaker is causing pain…so I don’t know what I will do on that plan to send my Dr. and email this week...to discuss that and my upcoming botox surgery…my how I would much rather be putting it in my face rather than my pelvic floor! ;) October 17, 2015 (UPDATE) So I finally had my botox surgery! The dr. put 200 units in all of my pelvic floor muscles and my pain has dropped significantly and my PFD is much better! I will see the Dr.
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing pelvic pain for approximately 1 year. There are times that the pain radiates into my upper thigh. Sometimes the pain is debilitating. I have frequency and urgency with urinating. Sometimes I have sharp rectal pains. Most of the pain is low left side. I have had several ultrasouds that continually show cysts and that my uterus is anteverted.
Avatar f tn Has anyone delt with Pelvic congestion syndrome? Why does this peak mid cycle? TTC with nasty pelvic pain isn't working real well. Sorry, just a little frustrated. My doc made the diagnosis but doesn't have any suggestions for how to manage it.
Avatar f tn I know I am luck to be alive and I am aware that the chances of what happened to me was 1 in 10,000.00 people. I have been struggling with pelvic pain since it is waking me up during the night and it is very painful just sitting down for small periods of time my doctor gave me ibuprofen 600gm but these have not worked at all. What can I do to get this pain to go away as this is really bringing me down I am being really moody and then the next crying over nothing.
Avatar f tn she has arranged an urgent Gyna appt for Thursday this week but the pain is now severe, low back and pelvic area is chronic and legs are aching from the back to the tops and sides, could this all be part of a UTI, bad taste in the mouth, gone off food but no weight loss As l only have one ovary why am l seeing a gynaecologist?
Avatar f tn What type of pelvic exam should you have after having a partial hysterctomy? Should a pap test be done?
Avatar f tn I had a hysterectomy 2 months ago due to a severe case of endometriosis. I had a lot of back pain & I thought after I had a hysterectomy that pain would go away.....it hasn't yet. I was wondering if cymbalta would be good for my back pain? My lower back hurts a lot & I didn't know if they would complicate things. I just want some answers...maybe you can help.
Avatar m tn Hi, my name is Christa. I was diagnosed with pelvic congestion about 3 years ago. I had a procedure where they cut off the blood flow to a few of my veins that were 3 times the size they should have been. I would not recommend anyone to have that done. IT DOESN'T WORK! It was a complete waste of time and money. I was so desperate I would try anything to relieve the pain. The doctor told me that my only option for full relief was to have a total hysterectomy. I had my surgery on July 15,2014.
Avatar f tn ve had ovary / pelvic pain and back ache. Hot flushes for a lot longer. I started hrt a week ago, but my pelvic / ovary pain is now dreadful. I have to take regular pain killers for it. Is this awful ''period'' bloaty pelvic pain normal? Is it just my hormones on a roller coaster?!!
Avatar f tn Hysterectomy 8 years ago. No cervix. Non smelling brown discharge, sharp pelvic pain. No sexual partners. No pelvic exam after hysterectomy.
1203024 tn?1265536718 I have posted here before about the lower right pelvic pain i have been getting for the last 4 years and have a few more questions. A quick update i had total hysterectomy back in 97, removal of both ovaries, prior to hysterectomy i had lower right pelvic pain from endometriosis and chocolate cysts. 20001 developed sciatica, not too bad now but do have off and on severe right hip pain, right butt pain and numbness in right thigh.
Avatar f tn I know many people that have gone this route that have had success. A hysterectomy is not a cure for Endo so please don't let anyone tell you that as it can still grow back. Most doctors who say what yours did about how bad it was means its possible he is not educated or skilled in Endo surgery. If you let me know where abouts you live I could help you find a good Endo surgeon so if there is a time you would see one you will have the name on hand.
Avatar f tn I had a hysterectomy in 2014, kept both ovaries. I have been having pelvic pain, breast pain, worse pain with eating, weight loss without trying, low back pain, bowel changes, have to pee constantly, and fatigue for months. My regular doctor kept brushing me off, saying I had a stomach virus, then sent me for a mammogram (clear) because my breasts are like two hot balls of achy lead and the nipples keep crusting. He also did prolactin test. It was fine.
Avatar n tn I had a hysterectomy the 23 October 2007 for pelvic prolapse, I had a vaginal hysterectomy and kept both ovaries and my cervix. Prior to my hyst I was experience chronic pelvic pain (since June 06), Pain on both right and left sides of my pelvic area, a 'throbbing' pain inside my vagina (was told this was due to my uterus bearing down on my cervix), extreme pain with intercourse and many other symptoms. Currently about 90% of the pain has returned.
Avatar f tn Tummy tucks do not cause long term pain except in very unusual cases. Pelvic pain/ abdominal pain on the surface sounds more like a Gyn problem, but needs investigation.
Avatar f tn t work, walk, eat, I mostly just crawl to the bathroom to throw up from the pain. Not to mention the bleeding. I am interested in getting a partial hysterectomy, but terrified what it will do to my IC/bladder. Has anyone else had good or bad experiences with having a partial hysterectomy years after being diagnosed with IC??
Avatar n tn On November 6th 2017 my doctor removed my uterus and tubes. I still have my cervix and ovaries. I have pelvic pain & pressure is this normal? Like spreading my legs part is not comfortable to do. Why do I feel any pressure an pain down there I thought laparoscopic hysterectomy meant we did not touch my vagina? And if it is normal, it has been almost 3 months now why is the discomfort still there anyway?
