hysterectomy

1710955 tn?1309446473 frustrated with the whole medical system since my unwarranted hysterectomy and ovary removal. Plus I am not in pain so I just live with the bowel issues.
Avatar n tn My symptoms include digestive issues such as extreme gas, stomach distension, chest pain,(usually after meal and upon lying down), upper back pain (feels like lungs), alternating bouts of constipation and diarrhea, and a sudden inability to eat okra, and peas without experiencing extreme stomach pain and diarrhea. The seeds of the okra are present in stool as if they have never been eaten. I have just started experiencing this last symptom within the last 6 months.
Avatar f tn It got worse after I had a hysterectomy in January. The pain is in my upper right side, under ribs, chest pain and pain between shoulder blades. It is definitely not anything to do with my heart. Have high blood pressure and my Cardiologist keeps close tabs on all of that. Saw him today and he feels could be gastro or gallbladder. I see GI Doctor on April 30th. Any special questions I should ask?
Avatar f tn I just had a full hysterectomy and I did not have any issues healing or any more pain then what I expected. I was only out a week from work. FM did make any difference to me in the pain I felt or in how I healed.
Avatar f tn which I believe is caused by Sphinster of Oddi Dysfunction , which seems to be quite common after gallbladder surgery..My question is ...I am having a hysterectomy in a couple of weeks and worried about what I can use for pain relief directly after surgery , as I have read morphine causes the same reaction . Thanks. !!!
18070169 tn?1463175914 I was fine for the first 6 weeks and then after I would have occasional panic attacks, but not consistent. I had bladder pain and a pretty intense side pain so went in to be checked. No UTI, no infections in any of the organs and no stones or anything in the kidney or gallbladder. At this time I was also taking zolpidem every night. I read some stuff on zolpidem side effects and it appeared that after my surgery some of the rare side effects started cropping up.
1727909 tn?1314845210 I'm having gallbladder pain and symptoms- has anyone gained weight after the surgery? And what is it about GB removal that makes you gain weight?
Avatar f tn 9 cm uteran fibroid and a large gallstone in the neck of the gallbladder. I have numerous symptoms that are listed but these could also relate to gallbladder issues (I understand). I also recently learned that I have high blood pressure (used to be low) and I have been on meds for this for two months and it is still pretty high in the morning. Maternal side of my family has been studied for years for the BRCA gene. My mom and her two sisters all had breast cancer.
Avatar f tn I was not running a fever, or anything but I was sent for a CT scan and a cbc. The cbc was normal, no infection and the CT scan only showed a small spot on my lung and a small spot on my liver. They say this is not causing my pain but didn't offer any suggestions as to what could be causing it. I don't know what to do. The pain is not going away, or getting any better. I feel like I have a brick lodged in the middle of right side and I cannot get comfortable.
Avatar f tn She ended up having the surgery and it went well. This was done two moths after the hysterectomy. Anyways, so after that she started developing depression causing to always feel like she couldn't breathe, lost in appetite. Weeks after the depression slowly went away, but she started developing abdominal/stomach pains when ever she ate. She's barely eating now, cause her pains are always bothering her. She describes it as "my stomach is really tense.
Avatar f tn It is possible that one or more of the clips are touching a nerve which could leave you with permanent pain and discomfort in that area and your surgeon may well consider at this early stage, the removal of the offending clips that are causing the problem if indeed that is the case. I wish you good luck and good health in the future. Mirade.
Avatar f tn I had colonoscopy, barium X-rays, ultra sound test for gallbladder, kidney, and pancrease, and everything came out OK. And I had these symptoms for years. Later I started to learn about IBS. And my symptoms sounded like IBS. go to www.drdahlman.com website, and download a free report on IBS. You can also try Dr. Dahlman's treatment if you want.
1445110 tn?1388209711 I have had so many blood tests lately. Had surgery for a Hysterectomy , thyroidectomy and Gallbladder. Never once did anything show up. 7 months ago I even had a abdominal CT scan which did show fatty liver and some scarring but the results stated it didn't need following up. When my Surgeon took out my Gallbladder he said he has a very hard time getting it out laproscopic. I am sure my mind is just running away with me. Thank you again.
484160 tn?1343397921 s Syndrome and Hypothydoiditis. I also have a hiatal hernia, sludge in my gallbladder and an ovarian cyst. I am having surgery on the 25th, at which time they will repair the hiatal hernia, remove my gallbladder and remove both ovaries. I know this is going to be extremely unpleasant, even disregarding the auto-immune issues, and I want to find out how I can expect they surgical trauma to affect my auto-immune disease(s).
1833724 tn?1318145484 My 10 year old son had a similar problem with his gallbladder. His pain was in his sternum mostly, no show on the gallbladder. They took out his gallbladder almost a month ago and he is now having issues with this liver and pancreas. I regret deeply letting them do the surgery without knowing what caused his pain for sure. He was already having his spleen out and since his gallbladder was not functioning, it seemed like a good time to take it too.
Avatar f tn I have seen specialist, surgeons, Oh and I had a complete hysterectomy due to endometriosis. Still the same pain and discomfort. and Dr took out my appendix for process of elimination. .
Avatar f tn I have also been experiencing a constant pressure on my rectum and lower abdomen, as well as pain in my upper abdomen. This pain sometimes radiates right down my upper legs as well, and I experienced this strange feeling in my anus, sort of like I'm sitting on a ball. After many trips to the doctor, it was discovered that my uterus flipped over. I had a hysterectomy (I kept ovaries). Six months later, the pain is still there.
Avatar f tn I had the very samething I had a hysterectomy in 2000. I had every test out there and had my gallbladder out and still had the very quesey stomach and waking up at night with the anxiety. I had it for 11 months and it went away, I have felt good for over 1 year now. The doctors have no idea what it was I am just glad it is gone it was the worst feeling I have ever had.
Avatar m tn I had a partial Hysterectomy and two weeks after I've been having alot of pain on the leftside of my abdomen and my back. The pain doesn't go away even with narcotic medicines and the doctor says everything looks fine. Also when i get up and start walking the pain gets worse and worse. The only time it doesn't hurt that much is when I'm laying down. Also I feel on my left leg because the pain is so bad. Need answers please.
Avatar n tn I suffer from vertigo, still the GI symptoms, constant pain in my abdomen not only in the LLQ which has lessened since the hysterectomy, but is constant in most quadrants, lower back pain, migraines, kidney stones, pain and numbness in my arms, pain in the tops of my legs, occasional ringing in ears, pain when speaking loudly or moving quickly, fatigue, malaise, cold intolerance, and difficulty seeing at night.
Avatar f tn Is the pain in the upper right quadrant or lower right quandrant? If it's similar to what you felt with your gallbladder, you may still be looking at gallstones. Now, you ask, "Just how can I have gallstones without a gallbladder?!" Simple. Gallstones can form in the bile duct, and they're really more like sand or sludge rather than stones. The gallbladder stores bile and excretes extra when you eat a fatty meal.
Avatar n tn m a 42-year-old woman who, about two years ago, I developed gallbladder-type pain and other symptoms. After having my gallbladder removed and another surgery called a sphincterotomy, I've learned that there are many things that can cause these symptoms including Post-Cholecystectomy Syndrome, Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction and Pancreatitis, among other things. I belong to a Yahoo!

1069644 tn?1276928863 I had a cholysysectomy about 14 months ago and went to an hebalist recently and she said I should've drank peppeermint tea. I sad it sounded hokey but my friend was having gallbladder problems and he tried it and he's feeling better already....but who knows just another option. I also had extreme pains before I got mine out and it seemed that when i walked it helped.
Avatar m tn I am a 63 yr old female. Have had a hysterectomy in 1992. My gallbladder was removed in 1972. Have felt pressure for the last 4 days.
Avatar f tn If it were me I'd opt for a laparotomy and complete hysterectomy. Considering you are at the menopausal age and the other factors I'd take the opportunity to handle it all to avoid any future surgeries or other problems. It would be wonderful if your gyn/onc could work with the general surgeon so you only have one surgery. My advice is to keep on pushing all the characters involved.
