There are a lot of little bones in the foot. I had a hair line fracture of the foot that healed on its own. Some are more serious. But they'd have been looking for that. Is he swollen? You'd think sprain too but you'd notice swelling. I'd say he just hurt it and it isn't back to normal yet. Give it another day and if you are seeing no improvement, then call the doc. Also, side note. These are those teachable moments.

I am sorry your in pain. Can you be a little more specific. Have you injured your foot recently or had an old injury that may be related to the pain your experiencing?

thanks for the advice. I'm going to make an appointment to see a doctor soon. My Achilles is still stiff as ever. not much pain or swelling. Just really stiff . I cant get my foot beyond 90 degree angle to the leg. So when I walk, I cant push off the toes for that extra stretch because the tendon/lower calf area is too tight and I fear tearing it if it's not already and rupture if it is torn?????.

Recently my ankle has swelled up again (no re-injury) and I have sharp pains across the top of my ankle when I flex my foot towards my body. I can walk on it with some pain and the swelling goes down at night or when elevated. X-rays show no break in the tib or fib... Should I treat it as a sprain and do I need to stay off of it? My husband had a severe crush injury in his right foot. He broke all 5 metatarsals. Had surgery and currently has 6 pins in his foot. Just looking at bloodworm I see Anion Gap went from 4 to 16 over a 2 day period. Not sure what that was about...

I have foot fungus and nail fungus, now I have tiny black spots on my skin and brown spots everywhere. Is it possible for the fungus to go into your blood stream and effect your entire body? Thanks for the help!
