167426 tn?1254089835 either a cancer-induced death or a total cure. LDN therapy presents a viable third alternative, the possible long-term stabilization and/or gradual reduction of tumor mass volume. Thus, with LDN, cancer can — in some cases — become a manageable chronic disease. Patients have the possibility of living free of symptoms, without, in many cases, the crippling side-effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. I will be doing a better look at this it has been approved by the FDA I think.
Avatar n tn I know it is not life threatening, and Id rather them find a cure be for cancer or aids....but whenever I try to research a cure for HSV I find nothing. I am thankful for the treatment, but is an actual cure for HSV likely in the near future??
Avatar m tn There is now a patent on a cure for HIV.... I can't remember the patent number, but it's waiting to be tested and will likely be available sooner than later. If they can solve HIV, they should certainly be able to tackle herpes.
1028452 tn?1537452084 In addition, aged garlic extract may increase the glutathione level and glutathione related enzymes which aid in detoxifying the body. Research has also suggested that aged garlic extract may help to protect the body from heavy metal poisoning. When aged garlic extract was combined with red blood cells it prevented lead, mercury and aluminum from destroying them. When no aged garlic extract was added to the blood samples, these heavy metals ruptured the red blood cells.
Avatar f tn Uh, yeah, I think you probably "heard" about it on this forum. Why don't you scroll down a few and read more, rather than taking the lazy way out and asking? Yeesh. What the hell does "...mutates so fast" mean?
Avatar m tn Hello to all of you. I'm Justin, 25, I live in Orlando. I will say, PATM reactions in this city are no fun at all. My first reaction was at a huge concert called "Sunset Music Festival " .... which is a HUGE RAVE with a lot of people. I didn't know what was going on and why my friends started sneezing, coughing, clearing their throats, etc. It was weird because everyone else in the crowds were as well, and when I got closer to them, the reactions were inbearable.
Avatar f tn No doubt, i still think this is a dream come true, that I have found the FINAL and the only no cost effective CURE TO PUT PATM TO ITS FINAL DEFEAT and that was from sweat, determination and hard work! ! BELOW IS HOW I COPED WITH PATM My first patm started on 31-10-16. On the first day, I felt confused, caught the wrong bus for the first time and even lost my bus card. I didn’t believe it was me causing everyone to do dry coughs. Second day of class it hit me again.
Avatar n tn If there isn't any 1a/1b research, then where is this frequently quoted 'new cure' in 3-5 years prediction coming from? Thank you. Good energies...
Avatar f tn I support this idea for a Hepatitis C/trial research discussions in a group/forum format. There are many of us on the Hepatitis C message boards who are going through clinical trials, or who have been through them in the past and I think that kind of a group would be helpful. It may also free up the regular Hepatitis C message board for the other people who are on FDA approved Hepatitis C medications.

107513 tn?1232290064 While some of these issues are controversial -- in and out of the medical community -- I think many of us appreciate hearing what one of the leaders's of Hep C research and treatment -- Dr. Schiff-- has to say. There indeed is a stigma to this disease and sometimes I think we in the Hep C community are inadvertently guilty of fostering it ourself.
Avatar n tn There are detailed discussions of exactly the issues you raise earlier in the STD Forum. Search for HPV, especially in the early part of this year (as I recall). There is no "new" research indicating that HPV persists for life or that it doesn't. The suspicion that it sometimes (often? usually? always?) persists has been present for 20+ years and to my knowledge there is no knew knowledge that provides clear answers. One problem is terminology.
446474 tn?1446351282 BMS exits hep C, diabetes and neuroscience research Will discontinue 'broad-based discovery work' in the therapy areas “BMS will also halt such discovery work in hepatitis C and diabetes, but will keep supporting existing or late-stage candidates in two therapy areas.
Avatar m tn For hep b, will we lean toward a functional cure also ? Since most of the funding and research for hbv originated from hiv research, will we lose research and capital if hbv is not heading in the same direction. from my understanding isnt undetectable level of hep b virus in the blood a functional cure? can someone with experience please explain the difference if hbv can even achieve a "functional cure" (stopping hcc from the virus) if possible?
936016 tn?1332769204 Many of the questions we answer on this Forum and also the Freedomhealth Sexual Health Forum relate to anxiety about HIV and also possible early HIV symptoms. One of the main problems in relying on HIV symtoms themselves is that they are notoriously vague and almost all the symptoms may in fact be symptoms of a different disease. The best method always of diagnosing HIV is to have a modern HIV test.
Avatar m tn Blood test confirmed the infection. I have been doing lot of research for cure etc. Almost every one talks about boosting your immune system for your body to fight the HSV viruses. I believe Garlic is a very strong immune booster. Once in Dr OZ. show they were saying that how garlic can kill parasites / worms in your intestines. Even otherwise there are so many benefits of consuming Garlic.
163305 tn?1333672171 And genetic remodeling of some sort -- the underlying principle here -- seems to be the place where a lot of this good stuff will come from. As far as HIV goes, they don't propose marrow transplants as a cure -- too dangerous -- but hopefully they will be able to use the genetic priniciple involved to develop a cure. Perhaps twill one day pinpoint why some people naturally get rid of the virus and some don't, and use this to develop a less toxic cure.
Avatar f tn I've been googling like crazy about cures, i do not wish to seek temporary treatment, i need a cure. I want this out of my life. I am very interested in DRACO, it seems believeable. What I do not understand about herpes is: How does herpes survive in the body?. What is keeping it alive?. Why is it that people know where it hides dormant but there is no way to directly attack the virus?. Why can't or is it even possible for our own bodies/immune system to find && destroy the virus?

55646 tn?1263664409 After years of nothing new in herpes research, everything is new right now. Nationally, there are at least three different studies beginning for the treatment of genital herpes. First, the Genocea phase one (first in humans) trial. Instead of an oral medication to treat herpes, Genocea out of Boston has taken the approach of stimulating the immune system to respond more robustly to the herpes virus in people who are already infected with the virus.
Avatar n tn tw The results of a recent analysis of chimpanzee genes may be helpful in developing cures for hepatitis B and C, as well as AIDS and Alzheimer's disease, sources at Taiwan's National Health Research Institutes said on Thursday. The research paper was published online in November by the scientific journal Genome Research.
Avatar m tn Current treatment regimens usually fail to cure chronically HBV-infected patients. Most approved therapies are targeting the viral polymerase activity without preventing virus entry and formation of the very stable HBV transcription template, leading to viral rebound after treatment arrest or to development of viral resistance in case of prolonged treatment.
Avatar m tn As we know hcv cure, Solvadi is a drug which failed for hiv first. Amount of money invested in hiv market is huge if you compare it to the money spend on other diseases.
