Avatar f tn Our daughter's height has been slowly dropping on her growth chart. Over the period of 2 years, she has gone from 95% down to 10%. The progression has been this: Birth: 95% 3 months: 50% 6 months: 45% 12 months: 25% 20 months: 15% 2 years: 10% She had serious health issues when born (two heart defects, heart failure, failure to thrive with weight) but these have all been resolved for over a year.

Avatar f tn Lol!! I thought I was the Only one... While on some books and articles says Im doing fine and so my doctor, this app Keeps telling me "excessive weight gain"... They should consider you height at least...
Avatar f tn Here's a bit of height weight chart, that pertains to your height, but only if you are an adult female. If you're not an adult, the figures would be different. Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'5" 117-130 127-141 137-155 You can pretty much determine your frame size by looking at your hands, feet and shoulder width.
Avatar f tn Her weight is between the 90-95th percentile and her height is on the 50th percentile which indicates she is normal for her age and not overweight. Her weight is still within the growth chart. She is in puberty now and will be physically changing. As she gets older she may loss it. Suggest dancing which is fun and will help to lose the weight.
676912 tn?1332816151 I'm limited to basically walking for exercise because of my back, and even then I can't do it for very long without taking a break...I'm so sick of not being able to exercise to lose weight...I want to lose 30 lbs, but it seems impossible. I don't eat out often, and don't eat a lot of junk food...after I had Elijah I lost a few pounds but that's it. I gained 35-40 and barely lost anything...
118074 tn?1228332603 1 lb, the nurse said he's fallen off the chart...his height is in the 10-25 percentile. The doc didn't seems to be too concerned but she said he needs to have a different diet that contains more fat. Any suggestions here? I am very worried and don't know what to do since he doesn't like to eat. Help!
Avatar f tn Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'3" 111-124 121-135 131-147 If you have a small frame, 115 pounds would be toward the bottom of the range and bordering on underweight. For a medium or large frame, it would definitely be underweight. Your current weight (126.7 lbs) is actually just about perfect for you.
1530342 tn?1405020090 Overweight...REALLY?! I'm 5'5 and I weigh158lbs. That's over weight for my height. I'm 2lbs overweight according to the womens weight chart. I guess trying for a baby isn't gonna make that go down.
Avatar n tn Technically, I'm only partially overweight, according to the BMI chart. Anyway, I've had friends your height who weighed 90 pounds, and they get sick very easily, and when they get sick, it's bad. Your body will start to shut down because it cannot support itself. The average weight for your height is at least 110. At the very least. Remember that you are wonderfully made, and that you are beautiful! 90 pounds is sick, not healthy, and healthy is beautiful.
Avatar f tn I hate some of these doctors. I lost 15 lbs and u am now 24 wka preggo and weight loss and pregnancy runs in my fam. Once ur not starving yourself etc don't worry. My baby has the weight and i don't. Doctors talk about bmi etc. i hate that crap, no " weight" chart can possibly tell me i am under weight or over weight. My sister had a 3 month looking belly at 9 months and baby weighed 7 lbs. If u listen to everything these american doc say then u will go nuts.
Avatar f tn Is anyone else having trouble keeping weight on? The most I've gained is about 8 lbs and now I'm down to 6!
Avatar m tn Hi there, What is your height? 100 kg is excess at any height. You should aim to lose your weight slowly and steadily. Firstly rule out conditions like hypothyroidism which can lead to excessive weight gain. A person wanting to lose weight should do so in a scientific way for long term benefits. A healthy diet and regular exercise or incorporating yoga into your daily regime can help to lose weight. Eat more of green leafy vegetables, fruits and protein and less of fats, butter and potato etc.
6918915 tn?1395936471 I don't think it is allot Ady all I have lost 9 lbs and I am 16 weeks they aren't worried maybe they just want to make sure you eat healthy and keep it in check I know alot of doctors that belive thIs factor in fact we have one in the hospital i work at they just want healthy I know alot of ppl that easy unhealthy and have complications not everyone us the same but I would take it to keep myself in check not negative necessarily I won't buy maternity pants cause o want to make sure I don't gain
Avatar f tn According to standard height/weight charts you aren't overweight. Your weight not only depends on your height, but also your frame size. Some with a large frame (large bones) should weigh more than someone who is very small/fine boned.
Avatar f tn It calculates your body mass index based on your starting weight and height and plots your current weight on a chart which shows what the healthy range is for your body. I find it useful because I don't have to do the math myself. I check it about once every 1 or 2 weeks. It's right on target with what my doctor told me to gain so I trust it. Just keep in mind that your weight gain is not necessarily linear either.
1642895 tn?1314668012 By the time i hit 12 weeks i had gained close to 20lbs! It was water weight. I eventually evened out with the weight. Losing a couple lbs, gaining a couple lbs. By the end of my pregnancy i had gained a total of 42lbs. I dont believe in the weight gain chart on how much you should gain or shouldnt gain. When i was pregnant i had ALOT of cravings...sometimes to the point of tears if i didnt get it. I agree you should try and stay away from really salty foods, its ok to have some sodium though.
10389360 tn?1410827568 You can't use a BMI chart while you are pregnant because you naturally are going to gain weight while pregnant, so it is not your "true" weight. If you want to get a more accurate BMI result, use your pre-pregnancy weight, although BMI is a terrible way to measure normalcy - obesity since everyone is built different.
Avatar f tn Just took a quick look at height/weight chart - you are NOT overweight - even if you have a small frame. If you can maintain where you are, that would be ok. Don't lose too much or you will be unhealthy. There are some websites you can go to that will give you the number of calories you need daily. spark people is a good one; live strong is another. You can also do a search for height/weight charts to get an idea of where your weight should fall. Good luck and keep posting.
Avatar n tn Our daughter had Lyme Disease when she was 5, she is now 10 and has gained weight since diagnosed with the disease. She is at the 95th percentile, 106 lbs on the weight chart & at the 50th percentile, 54 inches on the height chart. She eats healthy foods most of the time but the weight still comes on. We had her thyroid tested and that came back within acceptable ranges last year. We are going to tested her again shortly.
Avatar m tn General Chart: Height and Weights for Teen Girls Age Range Height Weight Percentile 12-13 years 60 – 63 inches 95 – 105 lbs 50% 14-15 years 63 – 64 inches 105 – 115 lbs 50% 16-17 years 64 inches 115 – 120 lbs 50% 18-20 years 64 inches 125 – 130 lbs 50% Everyone is different, if you have a small frame, then your weight should be lower, if a medium frame, a little higher, and for a larger frame higher yet.
7758733 tn?1402593020 It seems like too much weight for me. I'm petite pre pregnancy weight was 125 which was a healthy weight fot my height. I'm on my first trimester and gain already 5 thre Dr. told me 5lbs on the 1st trimester was fine and she also told me that at the of of pregnancy I will be at least 165 lbs that will be my heaviest ever.
Avatar f tn I have began losing some weight. I think I have lost around 5 lbs. I am mmore worried about putting more and more weight on than losing what I have. Alot of the medicines they have put me on have weight gain as a side effect. I guess I am just trying to prevent that from happening. Thanks again and I love almonds.
897494 tn?1267479664 on the left of the screen. You will have to put in your age, weight, height, etc and the site will come up with a meal plan for you that should be pretty close to your daily required intake (it also ensures that your diet is balanced between food groups). I find that food journaling often helps clients. Studies have shown that people who don't keep a food journal often overestimate their caloric intake by about 50%. Keep me posted, hope this helps!!! P.S. one more thing comes to mind.
Avatar n tn Her weight is on the 10th percentile and her height is just above the 10th percentile for her age. She is on the growth chart which is good. She was born early so she is alittle on the smaller side but as long as she is growing steadily, no matter how slow, she will be fine. Suggest giving her Pediasure in place of milk or milkshakes (milk, ice cream and fruit blended together) or yogurt smoothies (yougurt, milk, and frozen fruit blended together) for extra calories and protein.
Avatar n tn When you go to see your pediatrician, you probably have noticed the chart of height and weight that is embedded in your child's medical chart. Each time the pediatrician sees your child, he or she plots your child's vitals on this chart and looks for any significant abnormalities that might invite further investigation. I think it's worth mentioning your concerns to the pediatrician, but if he/she doesn't seem concerned by your daughter's weight, that's encouraging.
476246 tn?1418874514 It looks like there is something wrong with the bmi calculation on the weight tracker. I weigh 123.5 lbs and my height is 5.4. Usually this would give me a bmi of 21.2. Meaning that I am normal weight. On the tracker chart, it puts me at 2977. This would put me on the border of obese. BMI Categories: Underweight = <18.5 Normal weight = 18.5-24.9 Overweight = 25-29.
Avatar f tn Hello. I am 15 years old with a BMI of 19.65. My weight is 104 lbs. and my height is 5 ft. 1 in. I briskly walk for about 30 minutes or more a day but otherwise I believe I would be labeled as a couch potato. I am slightly uncomfortable with my weight but I am willing to keep it or gain in order to grow. I was told that I am not eating correctly and need to snack every now and then to keep my metabolism running. I was also told to exercise more to keep up with the increase in eating.
172826 tn?1423426556 My daughter is 5 mos and is 17lbs and I think that is huge but she is proportionate with her height and weight. Whee is Cameron on the growth chart? Is the height and weight consistent?
