Avatar n tn As was suggested, you need to use the BOM chart for your weight and size. Being to small is not good for anyone. You are young, you are going to want to have a family and being small will not be productive to that. Get out live a little. Mind the charts for age and grow healthy.
2095187 tn?1333091434 Your weight is actually low for your age and if you want to grow taller, please do not go on a diet to lose weight. The average weight for your age and height is 115 pounds. Avatar f tn That depends on your frame size, as well as your age. Your frame size is how large your bones are. Here's a bit of height weight chart, that pertains to your height, but only if you are an adult female. If you're not an adult, the figures would be different.
Avatar f tn She does not seem to gain weight/height as per her age. She had congenital defects and had two major surgeries when she was 2 days & 3 months old. She had remained skinny from the beginning but while I see her friends/cousins of her age bigger in size, I really get worried. She is completely fine and active after the surgeries. I would like to know if there is any way (with the proper diet) that can make her gain her height and weight.
Avatar n tn His weight is just above the 5th percentile and his height is on the 10th percentile for his age. His is within the growth chart which indicates he is normal for his age. He is going into puberty and will be growing. Males can grow until the early 20's. Genetics plays a part in stature. Are the males in the family on the smaller side?
Avatar n tn Her weight and height are above the 95th percentile for her age. It may be genetic. Are there tall females in the family? She is eating the recommended amounts of formula and food for her age.
Avatar m tn I'd say probably neither............5'2 is not a bad height to be. Below is a small bit from a height/weight chart. So depending on your frame size, you could weigh anywhere from 108 - 143....... Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'2" 108-121 118-132 128-143 If you eat well and get plenty of exercise, so you aren't getting flabby, you are about right........
Avatar f tn His weight is below the 3rd percentile and his height is just below the 5th percentile for his age. Genetics may play a part in his height. Avatar n tn Your daughter is in the 5th percentile for her weight and height for her age so she is not 'off' the chart. I have to agree with her MD, as long as she is steadily gaining weight and growing (even if it is slow) she will be fine. Some children are small and it has to do with genetics. If her appetite is good and she eats her meals, then she is ok.
1194973 tn?1385503904 When it comes to percentiles, is it bad for a child to be in the lower end? Kylie is showing to be in the 5th percentile and lower for height, weight and head circumference. I'm really nervous about if she is growing properly or not. At birth she was in the 50-75th for height and 25th for weight. Should it drop like that? The doctor didn't seem worried, but I'm not sure. She is 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 6 pounds 12 ounces at birth. She's still 20 inches long.
Avatar f tn So she is normal for her weight and height. She is not overweight. She still needs 1700-1800 calories per day to grow. Increasing her physical activities would not harm her and having healthier snacks would be much better.
Avatar f tn There are height and weight ranges for children which is indicated on Growth Charts. His height is normal, however, his weight is below the Growth chart for his age. You stated he is teething which some children do not feel well from it. Their appetite can decrease. Suggest you feed him small meals 5-6 times a day to help increase his weight and maybe it will decrease his ‘stomach aches’, as you stated.

Avatar n tn (95% on growth chart), because his bone age is so advanced and due to the andrache he will not have the typical growth spurt and will stop growing much earlier than other boys. His predicted final height is 5'8" which I know doesn't sound totally terrible but this isn't his full biological potential. We will be starting a drug called Letrezole, and from what the doctor has told me and what I have read it sounds like exactly what he needs which is more time.
Avatar n tn Hi, my husband's height is 5'11", 32 years old and his weight is 107kg. Will you please suggest a complete effective diet chart and a exercise routine to loose at least 7 kg within a month. He has to work a lot. So only one hour he can spend on his exercise time. So what will be the effective exercises on that one hour. And please again suggest a complete diet chart and routine of the whole day meal.
Avatar f tn Our daughter's height has been slowly dropping on her growth chart. Over the period of 2 years, she has gone from 95% down to 10%. The progression has been this: Birth: 95% 3 months: 50% 6 months: 45% 12 months: 25% 20 months: 15% 2 years: 10% She had serious health issues when born (two heart defects, heart failure, failure to thrive with weight) but these have all been resolved for over a year.

Avatar n tn But I think the idea of muscle mass was vaguely put out there so I am going to follow those intentions. Technically, nadanichuirrin, you are still in a normal healthy weight range for your height, but are you healthy? You may know that muscle weighs more than fat. If you are concerned about your weight, look at your exercise habits and see if there's anything you want to change. Do you balance your exercise with cardio and weight training? Do you balance your diet with all the food groups?

Avatar f tn The tramactic event dealt with a change in custody. My son's father lied and misrespresented information in court, judge reversed custody and my child was not able to see me or my family that he had relationships since birth. My child was 3 1/2 years old when this occured. Since then he has not had significant weight gain and as of last year diagnosed with Constitutional growth delay.
