2095187 tn?1333095034 Your weight is actually low for your age and if you want to grow taller, please do not go on a diet to lose weight. The average weight for your age and height is 115 pounds. If you think you look fat, then I would exercise as it is a way to tone muscles instead of dieting to lose weight. I don't think you are fat. The pictures in magazine are air brushed digitally on the computer to make girls look thinner than they are in real life. http://www.chartsgraphsdiagrams.
Avatar f tn With my oldest I was 15 pounds under weight when I got pregnant so my 20 pounds weight gain by 4 months was healthy. With my second I was at a good weight when I started. With this one I never lost all my baby weight from last year so I lost weight before I started gaining.
Avatar f tn Here's a bit of height weight chart, that pertains to your height, but only if you are an adult female. If you're not an adult, the figures would be different. Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'5" 117-130 127-141 137-155 You can pretty much determine your frame size by looking at your hands, feet and shoulder width.
Avatar f tn my daughter's is described by the previous post. Began weight gain around 5. Before that, she was always around the 5th percentile in weight. She had a healthy appetite and was extremely active. When she started putting on weight, her hair changed (became dull, terribly knotted), she got rashes on her wrists and shins on and off. She had dark circles under her eyes and her stomach was the first place (and still is) where her weight began to show.
118074 tn?1228332603 1 lb, the nurse said he's fallen off the chart...his height is in the 10-25 percentile. The doc didn't seems to be too concerned but she said he needs to have a different diet that contains more fat. Any suggestions here? I am very worried and don't know what to do since he doesn't like to eat. Help!
Avatar f tn Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'3" 111-124 121-135 131-147 If you have a small frame, 115 pounds would be toward the bottom of the range and bordering on underweight. For a medium or large frame, it would definitely be underweight. Your current weight (126.7 lbs) is actually just about perfect for you.
1019636 tn?1298263627 if you go on google or even ring your surgery, try to find out how to calculate your body mass index, or maybe try to find a chart on google or something that indicates what weight you should be for your height.... Im pretty sure there is some sort of reference chart used to calculate a persons ideal weight... and im pretty sure its calculated by your age and height...
Avatar n tn Both his weight and height are on the 10th percentile for his age which indicates his is in the normal range on the Growth chart. What is important with Growth Charts is that the infant grows at a steady pace over time. If he falls asleep while eating, suggest changing his diaper (which will wake him up) or just wake him up by moving him and then put him back on your breast to feed awhile longer.
Avatar n tn Technically, I'm only partially overweight, according to the BMI chart. Anyway, I've had friends your height who weighed 90 pounds, and they get sick very easily, and when they get sick, it's bad. Your body will start to shut down because it cannot support itself. The average weight for your height is at least 110. At the very least. Remember that you are wonderfully made, and that you are beautiful! 90 pounds is sick, not healthy, and healthy is beautiful.

1153085 tn?1341305493 None of us here are doctors -- we are just ordinary people on a weight loss journey, trying to support and help each other......... Here's just a single line for your height from a height/weight chart that might help. Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'7" 123-136 133-147 143-163 According to my calculations you should weigh 132 pounds (1 kg = 2.2 pounds; 60 kgs X 2.

1149046 tn?1264365186 For your height, you are just about perfect weight. Losing 20 pounds would put almost in the "underweight" category. I would not advise doing that. Here's part of a height/weight chart that applies to YOU. Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'6" 120-133 130-144 140-159 I would suggest that you eat a well balanced diet and continue with your exercise.
140437 tn?1215113342 The charts indicating weight to height ratio totally contradict the BMI ranges for normal, overweight and obese.
1642895 tn?1314668012 You should gain that during the span of the entire pregnancy. Based on your weight (which depending on your height) you would be classified as overweight. (I know I'm personally 5'2 and pre-pregnancy I was 147 and was overweight) If you were a normal healthy weight before pregnancy, you would gain 25-35 pounds. Overweight you would gain 15-20 pounds. Underweight would be 35-40 pounds. You should NOT however skip meals.
10389360 tn?1410827568 I would go by your hip to waist ratio pre pregnancy, then by how much weight you've gained since.
Avatar f tn It calculates your body mass index based on your starting weight and height and plots your current weight on a chart which shows what the healthy range is for your body. I find it useful because I don't have to do the math myself. I check it about once every 1 or 2 weeks. It's right on target with what my doctor told me to gain so I trust it. Just keep in mind that your weight gain is not necessarily linear either.
6918915 tn?1395936471 I don't think it is allot Ady all I have lost 9 lbs and I am 16 weeks they aren't worried maybe they just want to make sure you eat healthy and keep it in check I know alot of doctors that belive thIs factor in fact we have one in the hospital i work at they just want healthy I know alot of ppl that easy unhealthy and have complications not everyone us the same but I would take it to keep myself in check not negative necessarily I won't buy maternity pants cause o want to make sure I don't gain
Avatar n tn Our daughter had Lyme Disease when she was 5, she is now 10 and has gained weight since diagnosed with the disease. She is at the 95th percentile, 106 lbs on the weight chart & at the 50th percentile, 54 inches on the height chart. She eats healthy foods most of the time but the weight still comes on. We had her thyroid tested and that came back within acceptable ranges last year. We are going to tested her again shortly.
Avatar f tn According to standard height/weight charts you aren't overweight. Your weight not only depends on your height, but also your frame size. Some with a large frame (large bones) should weigh more than someone who is very small/fine boned.
Avatar m tn Dear concern, My age 32, Height 5ft 7 inchee, weight 123 KG, Blood report today, Sgot ast 35U/L, Sgpt ALT 76 U/L Hdl 26 mg/dL, LDL 184 mg/dL, Triglyceride 152 mg/dL,HBA1C 11% I would like to reduce my weight by using no carbohydrate in my diet chart for six months then I like to start diabetic diet.
Avatar f tn I know there are several people here who can't seem to put weight on. I stay sick to my stomach a lot, also. I would think that would make me lose weight. I don't know. I am starting to get very concerned about it. That is probably one of the last things for me to be "worried" about, but I have a fear of being overweight like my mother and sister. I want to be as healthy as I can at the time. Thanks y'all for your support.
Avatar n tn When you go to see your pediatrician, you probably have noticed the chart of height and weight that is embedded in your child's medical chart. Each time the pediatrician sees your child, he or she plots your child's vitals on this chart and looks for any significant abnormalities that might invite further investigation. I think it's worth mentioning your concerns to the pediatrician, but if he/she doesn't seem concerned by your daughter's weight, that's encouraging.
Avatar f tn You are under 20 years old and need to track your weight and height on a children's Growth Chart. You are normal for your age (not underweight or overweight). For healthy eating, eat a Heart Healthy diet which means a moderate fat diet to lower the fat content of your foods, increase ‘good’ fats to benefit your body.
Avatar f tn I've put in a bit of a height/weight chart that would apply to you. Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'5" 117-130 127-141 137-155 That said - yes, hormonal changes can cause weight gain, but I don't believe it's true that when a woman hits 30, she automatically gains weight.
172826 tn?1423426556 My daughter is 5 mos and is 17lbs and I think that is huge but she is proportionate with her height and weight. Whee is Cameron on the growth chart? Is the height and weight consistent?
Avatar f tn Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 117-130 127-141 137-155 I'd advise you to keep up with your healthy diet, as I, also, know that Zoloft (as well as other antidepressants) can deplete the body of some nutrients.
Avatar n tn You need do a chart for you height and weight and find your own target heart rate by your pulse for your age. Depending on the excersise you do (dishes and vacuming can burn calories) you need to burn more calories than you consume to loose weight. There are alot of websites that will chart it for you. example: if you consume 800 calories a day you need to excercise to burn 1000 calories. This pattern will drop weight. Does that make sense.
1626068 tn?1303760162 BMI (kg/m2) = weight (kg) / height^2 (m) (BMI in kilograms per square meter is you weight in kilograms devided by your squared height in meters). The healthy BMI for an adult (non-obese, middle-age, non-athlete) is between 18.5 to 24.9 kg/m2. If you want to know your "ideal" weight, you can use the minimum and maximum to know your healthy weight range. EXAMPLE: Weight: 63 kg Height: 1.67 m BMI = 63/ (1.67)^2 BMI = 63 / 2.7889 BMI = ~ 22.
