heartburn

Avatar f tn No heartburn no anything!
Avatar f tn t really see a lot of connection between what I ate particularly and heartburn in pregnancy ... I did get heartburn later in pregnancy, especially in the middle of the night, but it seemed much more connected to the fact that my stomach was pushed up by the growing baby, not because of what I ate. I'd get it just as often after eating a bland diet in the day as when eating something more lively.
Avatar f tn 38w I feel like baby is taking up to much space in my stomach. I haven't gained much weight. I look like i swallowed a watermelon. But anyways the baby is taking up so much space in my tummy i can't eat anything. I haven't even gotten hungry . I know i need to eat but when I do i feel like it just sits in the back of my throat and causes severe heart burn. Anyone else have this problem?

Avatar n tn Part of pregnancy, not much to do about it. Babies are brutal! You can take tums for heartburn though.
Avatar f tn I had heartburn really bad to the point I couldn't eat or drink anything without it bothering me. I was taking rantidine OTC but it wasn't working I told my Dr. and he gave me omperazole 40mg and it has worked wonders I can finally eat anything I want.

Avatar f tn Even now at 8 months, I eat a Grapefruit a day and I have yet to have Heartburn and I eat Spicy food daily. Please try the Grapefruit Ladies, and you will never have to worry about Heartburn in the Future. An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.
Avatar f tn The other possibility is that you have developed intolerance to carbohydrates or gluten or lactose. Hence you would need to get the food intolerance tests done. Keep a food stress diary. See what causes problems and what does not. Like oatmeal does not. Hope this helps. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind.

5536886 tn?1455827346 But for me, and this is not to scare you, my heartburn came back in spades in the last two months of pregnancy. That was the worst of it for me. My suggestion is to drink early in the day and start taking small sips as the day goes on. And stock up on tums. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you but nausea came back for me and horrible heart burn at about month 8 which is common because everything including your stomach and gastrointestinal track gets squeezed.
Avatar f tn I have heartburn everyday everytume I eat I feel like I'm drowning and sometimes at night I throw up in my mouth.
Avatar f tn I'm the same way and I can't find anything that helps. Hopefully, someone will post something that helps both of us.
Avatar f tn Thank you so much...Whatever I eat I get heartburn...
564775 tn?1243388702 that sounds bad), so I try to go the natural route first. Here is what I use when I am having heartburn... 1 tbsp. baking soda mixed with an 8 oz. glass of WARM water (reaaaally helps if it is warm) Because heartburn is an acid and baking soda is a base, it instantly neutralizes it. It really doesn't taste that great, but I "chug" it. Give that a try... hopefully that will if nothing else, give you instant relief while you wait for Pepcid or whatever to take effect.
Avatar f tn Some women experience heartburn as they progress in their pregnancy which may make you not want to eat something hot, but it is up to you. Congratulations on your pregnancy.
