heartburn

Avatar f tn I have had a lot of heartburn during my pregnancy. Pretty much all through. I've taken Zantac for it all throughout my pregnancy and I'm 37 weeks today.
Avatar n tn I'm already eating smaller meals not closr to bedtime. Any natural remedies safe during pregnancy that you could recommend? Any healing foods to repair my burning esophagus?
1432912 tn?1309273518 I was told to try to stay away from Zantac during pregnancy, and to only take it if it gets really bad. I get acid reflux with this pregnancy and just the other day someone suggested I try drinking some grapefruit juice (or pineapple) at the onset of it, and wow, it actually worked and kept it away for a few hours! I try to stick with natural remedies, so far this trick has worked.
Avatar m tn For example, women with diabetes must be especially careful about keeping their blood glucose levels under control, both before they begin trying to conceive and during their pregnancy. Abnormal levels increase the risk of birth defects and other complications. This is also a good time to talk with your health care provider about other habits that can pose a risk to your baby, such as drinking alcohol or smoking.
Avatar f tn My cough seems to be getting worse :/ about 7 wks anybody know some natural remedies? Also for indegestion tums didn't work so most likely have to get a prescription from my OBGYN. Anybody else having all these health probs during their first trimester???
2020005 tn?1476662562 I'm really weird about taking any medicine unless it's reallllly needed, but I'm starting to think it might be! Any natural remedies first? And if that doesn't work, safe OTC products to relieve it once in a while? And don't get me wrong, I'm NOT complaining, it's almost the only symptom I have, but it's starting to make me not want to eat because I know it's going to hurt after!
Avatar f tn I have been to the chemist and have gotten several different remedies of them but am wondering what natural remedies other moms use. I find ice.cream works well and ice water. Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
8367118 tn?1442609020 I use my pillow and a pregnancy pillow during the whole night to keep me from laying flat down. Other than that i drink milk and try to avoid spicy food or eating too much. I hope.it gets better.
Avatar n tn Hi Ladies, I am 9 weeks pregnant and I have TERRIBLE gas pain and I have to get some relief! My Dr. is out of the office this week. What is safe to take during pregnancy? I can't take this anymore! Anytime I eat ANYTHING I have stomach pain for hours. Any thoughts are appreciated!
Avatar n tn I'm a 60 year old men, in excellent health, except for experiencing tremors during sleep that wake me up and have difficulty going back to sleep. As I start to fall sleep again, I feel these "rumbleling" (tremors) around my upper body. I immediately wake up again. These tremors last for about 10-15 seconds after I wake up. The first time I experienced this condition was exactly two years ago. It lasted for about four days and it simply went away.
Avatar n tn Now I am concerned that my pregnancy hives is caused by one of the natural hormones oestrogen or progesterone as the levels of these increase during pregnancy I have been told. I think these hormones are also in the contraceptive pill. Does anyone have any experience of this? I am concerned it will get worse as the hormone levels increase.
Avatar f tn My friend took those b4 and during her pregnancy. She has a healthy 2 year old and trying again. G'luck and baby dust to you!!!
Avatar n tn is it normal to get a negative pregnancy test 24 hours after embryo transfer?
Avatar n tn To update everyone-I had another ob apt. last week. I am about 8 weeks along & had a 2nd brief ultra sound. The tec reported again the baby has attached "where it is supposed to be." The heart beat was 175 bpm (nice & strong). It's amazing & I am still in shock! The dr. said I should see a specialist which they advise anyone over 35 who is pregnant or who had an ablation. She also told me to see her in a month. If I make it another month I will be in my 2nd trimester.
Avatar n tn http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/clomid.html Also, I don't really have that obvious of pregnancy symptoms either--except for everytime i get pregnant, I get one or two very painful pimples on my face--that's been a sure sign for me! My fingers are crossed for you!!! Let me know what happens! Try to wait until the 29th or 30th to take another test.
Avatar f tn On days 6-8 I had some mild cramping which my RE said could be from implantation. Then on the day before my Beta test I had some nausea during the afternoon. Beta was done 11 days past ET and I got a BFP!!! Try not to worry to much, alot of people say they feel no symptoms at all and still get a BFP. Best of luck to you.
Avatar f tn Try tums for heartburn they are safe during pregnancy and zofran is a b class drug and is considered somewhat safe during pregnancy but there also has been birth defects but if you can't keep anything down then I would take the chance. Try gingerale and crackers first before putting your baby in any possible harm but if you can't keep anything down I think it would be worth taking zofran to stop the vomiting.
Avatar n tn I was just wondering if anyone could tell me when I should start to having pregnancy symptoms after iui. I am 6 days post iui and yesterday I started feeling naused. It woke me up during the night and I still feel the same today. I don't know if I have a bug or if is maybe a sign. I also took 10,000 units of HCG trigger shot but it has been 8 days since I had shot so I don't know if that could be it. Please HELP!!!
Avatar f tn Zantac is great for a 12 hr fix when sypmtoms start, but Prilosec is also safe during pregnancy & prevents symptoms from even starting. My doctor put me on once daily Prilosec in the morning on an empty stomach & I haven't had one bout of heartburn in 5 weeks.Check it out & see if it's something for you.
Avatar f tn I work at a natural health food store and that's also the main ingredient in natural remedies.

9807151 tn?1406765659 Doing squats, lunges, bouncing on a birthing ball/yoga ball, riding a bike, pretty much any physical activity you haven't done during this pregnancy. If your walking is causing cramping but only mildly try uping the pace , walking faster may get them to be more effective. Try walking up and down stairs if you have any.
Avatar f tn Ask your doctor about Unisom. It's an OTC sleeping aid and is acceptable during pregnancy, it also helps a lot with nausea and morning sickness. Also try sleeping on your side with a pillow in between your legs.
Avatar f tn Since much saliva is produced in the mouth some women feel the urge to spit it out. This particular syndrome seen during pregnancy is known as ptyalism or sialorrhea and is often co-related with a severe kind of morning sickness. Medical experts are not sure what causes pregnant women to have excessive salivation during early pregnancy, but some believe that hormonal imbalances are likely triggers.
131073 tn?1252454452 You might have PUPPS - Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy. Ask your doctor. It's an extremely itchy rash that can occur during pregnancy. I had it, and I wanted to tape sandpaper to my hands and itch 24/7. It's awful and the only relief is delivering your baby.
189192 tn?1261345228 I hear the progesterone (natural or supplemental) causes digestive system to be very sluggish according to my pregnancy books hence issues with heartburn and constipation. This way the digestive system better absorbs nutrients. Also depending on how far along you are, the baby and uterus are probably pushing down on things....sort of like stepping on a garden hose and last but not least the prenatal vitamins are loaded with iron and iron turns poo into steel!
Avatar f tn About 4 weeks ago I woke up with a bit of a scratchy throat, it was more like the kind of scratchy feeling you get with hayfever, the only thing I put it down to was the fact that I get reflux at night, I get dreadful heartburn as soon as I lay down. Anyway, its winter for one thing and I haven't done anything different to normal recently so I didn't think it was hayfever or like.
Avatar n tn Anyways, I'm not big on taking meds during pregnancy or even when I'm not pregnant, but this stuff is amazing and I wanted to share it with you guys so that maybe you could talk to your doctors about it if the morning sickness gets really bad. I wouldn't wish morning sickness like I had last week on anyone. Anyways, thanks for all the good advice everyone gave me! I'll keep you guys updated on everything!
