Heartburn pregnancy drugs

Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn pregnancy drugs

Avatar n tn I am 7m pregnant now and I have an excellent dr who actually gave me a list of OTC drugs that I can take for various things. For heartburn and indigestion you can take-mylanta, maalox, tums, and rolaids. These are all save to take. Rolaids worked the best one me and tasted alot better than tums. I got tums this time and have been disappointed in them lol. Also a way to help reduce getting heartburn is to eat small frequent meals throughout the day and make sure to chew well.

378497 tn?1232147185 For about the last four weeks, I've had heartburn/reflux (real reflux, too) pretty much every single night. I almost never have had heartburn (unless in late pregnancy), and now, I'm waking up every night, reaching for the Zantac. I can't really take it pre-emptively right before bed because it might interfere with my BCP. Anyone had a problem like this? I don't take in much caffeine, this doesn't appear to be food related in any way. And when I say "reflux," I mean...
Avatar f tn She said by the time she walked from her kitchen to her bedroom it was totally gone! I don't have heartburn during pregnancy but she swore by it because hers was so bad.

Avatar f tn i would try not taking anything tbh, take a painkiller if its bad but cold remedies arnt good for you, drink lots of water and it will flush the infection out.
Avatar m tn Don't smoke, drink alcohol, or take drugs. Get enough rest. Eat a healthy diet. Doctors generally recommend that women add about 300 calories to their daily intake to provide nourishment for the developing fetus. Although protein should supply most of these calories, your diet needs to be well-balanced, including fresh fruits, grains, and vegetables. Your health care provider will likely prescribe a prenatal vitamin to make sure you get enough folic acid, iron, and calcium.
Avatar n tn Check with your OB to see which drugs are safe during pregnancy, even before you actually get pregnant.
Avatar f tn Cramping, heartburn, mood swings, sleeplessness, sweating. Is it possible since birthcontrol never regulated my period that Depo is not working also. Is it a possibility that I could still become pregnant on Depo if I am bleeding? I recently became sexually active for my first time 4 moths ago, so I never used birth control for the purpose of preventing pregnancy. Now I'm concerned that it is not going to work to prevent pregnancy if it has never worked to control my irregular periods.

202380 tn?1267910566 I'm 8 weeks pregnant with pregnancy #4 (1st ectopic, 2nd son, 3rd MC @14 wks). I have bad morning sickness and I'm tired. I have no spotting with this one, but did with the miscarriage. I'm going for an US this afternoon b/c of my history of ectopic. I'm not looking forward to it. I don't want anyone messing with anything down there. I've lost 5 lbs already because of the morning sickness, now I only weigh 100 lbs (I'm 5'2"). I think I have to go throw up.
Avatar n tn I had a tubal pregnancy after having a tubal ligation. The doctor showed me pictures during surgery of the pregnancy stuck in the tube, right above a metal band on my tube. There was an opening big enough for a sperm to get through...but not big enough for the fertilized egg to pass. I can't say for sure what your chances are, but if you only have the band, I would say they're definately higher than of those who had their tubes cut and burned.
Avatar n tn Hi, I was wondering what you ever found out about your pregnancy after having your partial?? I feel i'm having the same problem. Please let me know how it is going and if you've found any answers.
Avatar n tn It seems to me that they are the same, with one being extremely cheaper. I am Beginning my fifth month of pregnancy and I would like to know if it is safe to continue taking prilosec otc.
Avatar n tn Anyway, because i want to get pregnant next year, and i dont want to take any drugs during my pregnancy is possible, i needed an action plan to get rid of these hives! So i found this blog which has really helped me.
Avatar n tn is it normal to get a negative pregnancy test 24 hours after embryo transfer?
Avatar f tn It ended up being ectopic pg but I think that was more to do with the fertility drugs than the condition of my tubes. My HSG showed no blockage. I have read that some women conceive shortly after the procedure, so best of luck to you.
Avatar n tn I am looking for more info on pregnancy after an endometrial ablation. I had an ablation in May 2002. January 2003 I was not feeling well and went to the family doctor. She thought it may be an ectopic pregnancy since I was told I was sterile. I had an ultrasound to discover it was an interuterine pregnancy and I was about 9 weeks. I am now 17 weeks and for the past month trying to decide to terminate or continue.
Avatar n tn my best advice for the back pain is to get to a physical therapist who knows something about pregnancy. do as many stretches and exercises as you can to minimize the need for drugs. i've got a couple of bulging discs and its best managed through stretching.
Avatar f tn Is there anyone else out there who has been really gassy during their pregnancy? I'm 4 weeks....and really really gassy. Just wondered if you had been.
349463 tn?1333575176 What's the worst unsolicited pregnancy advice you ever received? This morning my MIL told me I'm going to kill my baby if I don't stop picking up my 21 month old daughter and that for the rest of the pregnancy (I'm 18 weeks) that I can't pick her up. I just laughed. She said the baby in my belly is my number one priority. I said she has it wrong because my kids are my #1 priorities and the baby in my belly is already taken care of.
Avatar n tn The past couple of weeks I have been vomiting, eating everything in site, tender breast, heartburn, constipation. I took 2 hpt and both were negative. I feel pregnant. Im not sure if that is from wanting to be or not.I had my period for 2 days then stopped. Now I feel like I am going to start again but nothing. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on because I sure dont. I want more than anything to be pregnant. I have 2 wonderful healthy children now I really would like to have a girl.
Avatar f tn I've always been a good, healthy eater and could eat virtually anything without upsetting my stomach, never had heartburn or indigestion, nothing. I am suffering with MS, but also have lovely constipation and seem to feel some relief when I am able to burp (sorry TMI). On top of it, I have this horrendous taste in my mouth -- not metallic, but like morning breath -- but all the time. Some have mentioned this is acid reflux, although I don't seem to have any heartburn to speak of.
237300 tn?1231458318 Is being really thirsty a sign of pregnancy?? The past 2 days I have been really thirsty...I know I'm really reading into this but I was just wondering??
Avatar n tn Amanda, I have a similar question. Am 3 days late but pregnancy test results are negative. Had cramping 3 days ago, feel exhausted, and am usually a very regular 28 day cycle. I've been pregnant four times before; each time the test showed it immediately. Read another post saying pregnancy hormones sometimes build up more slowly, or maybe ovulation came later this cycle. Any advice other than waiting to take another test?
Avatar n tn This is a bit embarrasing, but I'm really worried and I don't have anyone to ask help from, so here it goes.. I've been experiencing pretty much all early pregnancy symptoms lately - weight gain, enlarged breasts, heartburn, nausea, tender breasts, darkened aerolas, fatigue, changes in period, and on top of that my stomach seems to get bigger and bigger and it generally feels strange and kind of off.
Avatar m tn Well, whatever is going on, producing breast milk is not an early-pregnancy symptom, though the other symptoms you mention certainly can come from increased prolactin levels that also produce breast milk. Women often go through their whole pregnancy and their milk doesn't come in until the baby is born.
1035252 tn?1427231433 Oops, I messed the whole thing up. That wasn't pregnancy related. Let me try again! The person below me wants to breastfeed!
