Avatar m tn References are important, otherwise we're just running on hopes and rumor. If you google something like this, 'pubmed Co Q10 good for heart', you will come up with some real medical studies indicating that for *some* kinds of heart failure, Co Q10 might possibly be helpful. It is not a magic bullet, though.

Avatar f tn My father has congestive heart failure. He has suffered with this for about 4.5 years. He was diagnosed with this at the age of 79. He has been in and out of hospital over the past years. I read about Co Enzyme Q10 when he was entering what we believed to be stage 4. He was unable to do any physical activity, not even able to shower and dress himself.
Avatar n tn Like many here i have anxiety all the time about my heart whether warranted or not and it really scares me sometimes. I heard a programme where they mentioned a supplement called "Coenzyme Q10" and apparently it's a wonder substance for the heart as well as other things, so i've ordered some capsules because i know it's going to help my heart a lot and it will help ease my mind knowing it's doing my heart lots of good.
Avatar f tn No physician or psychiatrist has ever mentioned this effect. A deficiency of Co Q10 has been implemented in muscle weakness, including of the heart. Not to mention fatigue, and I have taken a low dosage of caffeine since 1982 to combat fatigue from Navane. I noticed a surge of energy, too much energy, in the first two or three days of taking Co Q10. But this abated, and now I just feel more healthy. Thank you for this web site!
Avatar m tn I have dilated cardiomyopathy with a EF of 35% im wondering if Coenzyme Q10 is good to take. I was also thinking of taking Vitamin E. Is there anything I should worry about.

Avatar f tn My father has Ischemic Heart Disease and is on many different medications. I was recently made aware of Q10 and Statin medicines. My father takes Lovastatin, Plavix, Lopressor, Lasix, Zestril, and a few others and also Fish oil. I know he should consult his doctor before starting or stopping any medicines, I just wanted to get some opinions about stopping Lovastatin and taking Q10. My father has many leg cramps and foot arch cramps. What is your opinion of the Q10 ?
Avatar n tn s pose a problem is when someone has an very abnormally sized heart or bad heart disease. A normal healthy person can get anywhere from 0-20,000 palpitations per day. Some people are just more aware of them. Avatar m tn My dad, who is 77, suffered a heart attack 10 years ago. He has recovered really well, but still occasionally develops rather high blood pressure (170/110 the other day, despite taking religiously all his medications), which takes a long time to get back to normal. His cardiologist prescribed to him trimetazidine the other day, and told him he did not need to take coenzime q10 any longer since trimetazidine performed a similar function.
Avatar m tn I don’t know about that medication you got, you can get many good herbs and natural way treatments, vitamins are good but don’t over do them, lot we can get out from the right food, I would say , try proplolis, coenzyme Q10 and learn more about calcium magnesium..There is a product called CALM…worth to Google and get yourself set …you must work on yourself, think over every bite you eat, go organic as much as you can if is that possible in where you live.

Avatar m tn Have anyone tried q10 suppliment to relieve muscle pain. Statin and q10 may have contradicting function but it seems that to maintain q10 level in our body may prevent muscle pain. Than again how to balance the statin/q10 dosage to benefit from both. We need to replanish the q10 level and at the same time lower the cholestrol level. Also it seems that with q10 defficiency could age the heart much faster.
Avatar f tn I recently had a heart catherization and it showed severe single vessel coronary artery disease with a severe lesion in the mid LAD and critical, diffuese disease in the apical LAD. There was severe disease in a very small first diagonal branch of the LAD. There was non-critical disease noted in the proximal aspect of the dominant. I am taking plavix 75 mgs and Coreg .345 mgs. Trying to watch my diet and walk. Also take an aspirin daily , Co-Q10 and flexseed oil.
