1287446 tn?1313947638 Louis, at least one time, for a consultation. If that is impossible, then I might call the Center in St. Louis and ask if they can refer me to a KC-area cardiologist who has a special interest in EDS. You could also check with EDS support groups, to see if any EDS patients can recommend a good cardiologist in Kansas City. A quick google revealed that there is a St. Louis area EDS support group that has a FB page, so you might check with them. Good luck.
4229476 tn?1351786027 I would like to give you information about 2 physicians in St Louis MO. We have seen a NS, Dr Elbabaa, he is 110% wonderful! He has referred us to his friend Dr Gorteske NL on Dec 4th for a medication change. If this does not help he will assess for surgical intervention to help relieve her symptoms. At this point we are discussing whether she can even withstand the trip to WI Chiari Center IF we still feel she needs it. THe 2 hour drive to STL is just to much for her right now.

Avatar f tn I agree with Ree -- it is a sad fact that many/most infectious disease (ID) docs are clueless about Lyme. The main ID doc group, Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) is controlled by 'Lyme deniers' who think Lyme is like a summer cold. If you need help finding a Lyme specialist, let us know what geographic area you are in, like "Nebraska" or "St Louis MO" and we can maybe find some links for you.

Avatar f tn I know this is an old post but I recently moved to Illinois and am only a hour from st. Louis and would love to know who the POTS doctor is in St. Louis. Thank you so much! I am currently a patient at Cleveland Clinic but my doctor retired recently and the new doctor is not helping me with my POTS symptoms anymore. I feel like I was pushed off on him after Dr. Fouad (who was AMAZING) retired and Dr.Jaeger or his nurse doesn't have time to deal with me....
