304573 tn?1345577338 Vertex filed the NDA in November and asked for an expedited review. If the get the expedited review, and they probably will, the maximum at will take is 6 months from the date of filing; that makes it sometime in May. It could happen sooner than that, but no one should count on it. The worst case -- they get denied the expedited review, the process takes a maximum of 10 months. I have no idea what the rules are in Canada.

219241 tn?1413537765 Hi all, I have Supraventricular Tachycardia. Had the stress treadmill and heart ultrasound yesterday.Cardiologist is putting me on 100mg of Flecainide. Avatar n tn I have been informed that i have a class III crossbite requiring treatment over 18months at a cost of £5000. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the long term health consequences of leaving the crossbite untreated? The orthodontist says there may be consequences but I have been unable to find out any other information on it?

Avatar f tn You can go to cheaper brands, however, suggest looking for supplements that have the same content as what you are buying now. If some of the supplement have less omega 6 that is ok. Research has found that omega 6 counteracts omega 3's so the more omega 3s in the supplement, the better. Hoped I helped you and not confused you.
Avatar n tn Hold off as long as possible. The devil you know is better than the one you don't. As far as the Crystalens, This lens seems to be the best at this time. The most important thing I believe is a surgeon that has preformed many implants with positive results and the measurements taken need to be perfect. I had a Crystalen implant 7 weeks ago. I have perfect near to about 5' then a very clear blur if that makes any sence.
1655526 tn?1330655629 I know that omega 3 is really supposed to be good for the heart, but I get palps after I take them for 3 days, especially krill oil. I've read in this forum that others have also had adverse reactions to taking this supplement. So I wanted to put this poll out to see how omega 3 affects you. The first time I suspected krill oil, which is supposed to be the best omega 3, I used the process of elimination. Still not believing it I did it a second and third time.

Avatar m tn This small study suggests it helps and there are any health benefts to getting sufficient Omega- 3 in diet Omega 3 study
Avatar n tn Now I am fearing that I am having a heart attack or stroke. After reading online that too much of Omega 3 can cause more problems such as heart attacks, strokes, GI tract problems, kidney problems. Is this true. Does anyone know what foods help with digestion of Omega 3 from fish oil? Or anything that will balance the too much fish oil taken. I hope tried my best to explain myself, my English is not good.
Avatar m tn Most everyone knows or has heard about omega-3. The omega that many haven't heard about but that is very important to your health is omega-6. While omega-6 isn't bad in and of itself, what's bad about omega-6 is that Americans get too much of it. Having too much omega-6 and not enough omega-3 in your diet leads to many diseases. To avoid these diseases, you must keep these two very important essential fatty acids in balance or the right ratio.
Avatar f tn The two ophthalmologists at the University of Kansas that are working with me have submitted a protocol to the Institutional Review Committee. No research program can be done until the IRC signs off that the study is ethical and patients are not put at risk. After permission is obtained we will probably develop a questionaire about people experience. If you have access to a fax you can send the information to me at my personal fax 816 454 8478 or mail it to me by regular mail.
Avatar m tn I'm sure this a very stressful time for your family. I'm not a health professional, but I would agree with Kenkeith, there has to be blood flow from collateral (small) vessels that are servicing that area of the heart. I'd certainly proceed with relieving the blockages in the RCA (right side) of the heart. I'd also follow the doctor's advice as to medications, and I would very strongly suggest heart rehabilitation at your hospital.
