Avatar n tn My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. Avatar n tn Too many children and adults are unable to recieve the health benefits that are crucial to sustain their life with the medicines that are needed. My son has also had periods when we didn't know whether he would have coverage or not. As Christie has said it is unfortunately not uncommon. I do have a few websites that I trust and may be able to help. I am also going to try to find additional information to possibly assist you. In the meantime, these are three that you should check into.
Avatar f tn Hello Everyone! I am so sick of health insurance companies its ridiculous!! My only idea of what to do next is go to their office and stomp up and down and scream at them to kiss my A**! I am at wits end... so I was hoping if i posted my insurance dilemma here.. maybe someone else has some insurance knowledge that they could share with me and a more appropriate plan of action than my stomping and screaming approach :) lol Heres my issue....
Avatar n tn I guess he had previous outbreaks on his hands, but since he does not have health insurance, he waited to go to a doctor. But, this time, it spread to his mouth (primarily the roof of his mouth). He finally went to a doctor who said he has herpes. The doctor did not culture any of the blisters, and gave him medicine to take (I'm not sure which medicine). I am wondering if you think he does, in fact, have HSV-I? Could it possibly be Coxsackie virus?
Avatar m tn The report finds that young adults and baby boomers would also have better access to secure health insurance coverage under the ACA, with an estimated 7.2 million young adults aged 19 to 29 years remaining uninsured in 2022, compared with more than 18.6 million estimated to be uninsured under Romney's plan. Among older adults aged 50 to 64 years, 4.9 million are estimated to be uninsured in 2022 under the ACA, whereas nearly 11.8 million would be uninsured under Romney's plan.
280234 tn?1532986249 I was wondering if any other young adults have been diagnosed with colon polyps? I'm a 34/f who was recently diagnosed with a 1.1 cm "Tubulovillous adenoma" during a colonoscopy (was seeing blood/mucous in stool for about 6 months). The lab report came back that it was benign, and my GI doctor said follow up with him in 3 years. From what my GI doctor told me, and what I've read about these, they are considered precancerous. Following up in 3 years makes me nervous.
Avatar f tn Like someone else said , the ONLY way to know how your insurance works and what is covered is to call your insurance and ask about your specific policy. I worked for a major health insurance company for years and the biggest mistake you can make is not calling them in advance. I also recommend finding out what options you have for permanent coverage for your baby.
Avatar f tn Call your health plan provider. It's different with each state, I believe.

387294 tn?1207620185 My son and daughter may be looking for health insurance after they leave college and are no longer dependents. My daughter has been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic heart valve. She has a healthy heart and it is working well. With this impact her chances to get health insurance on her own? Will it impact our ability to continue her insurance after the cobra period is over on our insurance?

Avatar m tn Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a health insurance question? About a year ago Anthem Covered two separate visits to the doctors office that I had gone to. So initially they paid and I thought I was all set. Now, almost a year later, they retracted payment due to my coverage ending within days of the visits. I understand if I wasn't covered, but I am wondering how they can pay for it and then decide they were wrong and bill me a year later?
