Like someone else said , the ONLY way to know how your insurance works and what is covered is to call your insurance and ask about your specific policy. I worked for a major health insurance company for years and the biggest mistake you can make is not calling them in advance. I also recommend finding out what options you have for permanent coverage for your baby.
Hi, I just found out I do not have health insurance. We thought it would be until the end of the month but it's already done. I wad still under my moms plan and she was laid off last month. Well I had medical assistance through the state my last pregnancy but they dropped me when she was a month old because of my fiance's income. My daughter still has medical assistance.
Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a health insurance question? About a year ago Anthem Covered two separate visits to the doctors office that I had gone to. So initially they paid and I thought I was all set. Now, almost a year later, they retracted payment due to my coverage ending within days of the visits. I understand if I wasn't covered, but I am wondering how they can pay for it and then decide they were wrong and bill me a year later?

I'm sorry that I don't know anything about the insurance, since we still have private insurance. It has to be so difficult to set aside the financial worries and concentrate on feeling better. I do know a lot of the DMD companies have programs to assist anyone without insurance.

Alright, so I'm on my dad's health insurance through his work. It's upmc. Well, my boyfriend & I are getting our own place & my dad told me I can't change my address & stay on his health insurance. How true is this? Because I just looked it up & it said that a child under 26 can remain on a parents plan even if they don't live with them. I just want to know for sure because I can't afford it on my own. Especially not with the baby coming.
If you're in the USA than I believe by law, health insurance must cover pregnancy appointments and delivery. It doesn't matter if your on your parents insurance or not. Now, how much they pay could be iffy so you're best bet is to call or ask your mom to call. One thing to think about, grandchildren cannot be extended on to the grandparents health insurance most of the time.

Not everyone qualifies for Medicare especially if they are working but they still can't afford the cost of insurance. So, Obama put into place laws that require everyone to be insurance and for states to run exchanges to get that insurance hopefully for cheaper rates.
Also when my bf lays on top of me or when i lay on my stomache we can feel a small bumb in my lower abdomen. I visited planned parenthood since I do not have health insurance. They gave me a pregnancy test (which was again, negative), I then asked them for a blood test and they said they do not provide that until ive missed by period for 6 months. I dont know what my next step would be since i do not have health insurance to visit a regular doctor for a blood test.
Sorry wouldn't let me comment in that thread anymore. Unfortunately the US doesn't have the same rules in every state...it really bothers me. So in both California and WA to what midwives and naturopath have told me, midwives cannot work with ppl with previous csection per state regulations. Just like in WA a naturopath can be your primary caregiver but in California you must go to a doctor for things like shots.
