i also take hormones and xanax...i read where alot of my meds have interactions...but pharmisits say its ok.............

Okay, I knew I probably should not have read about it but in reading about the new drug my doctor put me on digoxin I see where it interacts negatively with xanax. I am not a regular user of xanax but have some in case I can't sleep or am nervous flying, etc... Does anyone know if this will be a problem if I take small dosages of xanax say once or twice a week? Any help would be appreciated.

I have been on xanax 2mg/day for 5 years. I am tapering off, medically supervised. I am now prescribed .5mg xanax 2times a day 20 mg of valium at bed time along with lexapro and trazadone (if needed). I am also prescribed 100mg neurontin 3 times per day in between the xanax to help with withdrawal symptoms. Is this a safe cocktail and is it hard to get off neurontin?

I would look at the birth control pill in relation to your thyroid medication and disease, and also the consequences of mixing the birth control and the Prozac. You may find that switching birth control will allow for treatment other than Prozac. Just a thought, but I think it has merit. Keeping up on your bloodwork and getting stable at the correct level is the best medicine. If Prozac helps short term, go for it. I'm taking xanax.

I would like to know how much you were taking of both so I may be able to give you some solid suggestions. I've been clean for 16 months and it is so nice to wake up in the morning instead of coming too. It is so nice to know I don't have to chase pills and worry about running out. I went to a pain management clinic for over 15 years but I cannot find a new clinic that will accept me because I take Xanax AND I CANNOT COME OFF THEM I have tried several times. Today is day 6 for me and i feel awesome during the day, its just at night is when its gets a LITTLE rough. I get rls and i get it in my arms too. I recently relocated and went to my new doctor (general medicine) on Monday and she started me on Xanax extended release tablets instead of the pop them as you go type. I have never heard of them but she said it is the only type she will prescribe. I have always been concerned with being dependent on Xanax so the pop as you go idea worked well since some days I could get by without any (that’s been a while since I've had a lot going on) or on a really bad day never exceed more than 2mg.

I think with u already taking xanax and flexeril that u don't need anymore meds. I do think the xanax and flexeril is what is helping u not feel the w/d's so bad. When I got off narcos (I quit a couple times and went right back:-( ) I would get xanax and fleril to get me through it. So from my experience I know for myself that those meds help A lot . How many days has it been since your last dose of pain meds? Did I read last night u took your last dose?
