Hi, my husband is disabled with chronic severe back/leg/hip pain from multiple failed surgeries and and one of his pain management meds is Flexeril, that Clean mentioned. He too gets wicked muscle spasms and takes the Flexeril for that. It helps him. I am an opiate addict (for effect) but do get bad lower back pain at night, probably from carrying 60 pounds on my small frame during pregnancy...and I am getting older.

The diagnosis is still ideopathic and with a history of severe anxiety and panic, symptoms have worsened and still experiencing pain and discomfort. I was previously taking clonazepam .5mg T.I.D but my meds were altered in the hospital. They kept on my normal dose of klonopin while also administering .5-1mg xanax every six hours as needed and 30mg temazapam to sleep at night. On top of this they were administering 4mg morphine IV every 3 hours.

Today is day 6 for me and i feel awesome during the day, its just at night is when its gets a LITTLE rough. I get rls and i get it in my arms too. Ive been taking xanax which i HATE but its the only way i can fall asleep. I bought the sleepy time extra tea last night but couldnt bring myself to drink, it tastes HORRIBLE, to me, but im not a big tea drinker. My fiance still has his vicodin from getting his tooth pulled and i have not an ounce of desire to take one.

Can you see one dr for xanax and another one for klonapin..I currently take 1mg of xanax 3xs daily but always run out and wk early and have horriable deathly withdrawls..I want to see another dr to get klonapin to help me through please help.

Xanax is used to treat anxiety and not pain. Research shows that if you use an opiate pain reliever with Xanax that it will cause the opiate to work better. Xanax will has always been known to make you sleepy so please do not drive while taking it... It knocks me out sometimes, I have have taken a pretty high dose for years and it is still working as well as it always has... helps me sleep.... in fact, nights when I hurt there is not way that I can sleep without it. Your are making some great choices and it will be a rough several days but I can promise you it is well worth it. I struggled with pain meds and Xanax for a few years and was taking enough of both to kill a horse. Luckily I'm not a horse! Anyway have you been taking a lot of Xanax. Be very careful with CT on Xanax because it can be very dangerous. I would like to know how much you were taking of both so I may be able to give you some solid suggestions.

That is a lot of Xanax to combine with alcohol.I would take her to ER and she should avoid taking alcohol with any pills.

I would say the xanax and wine are a deadly combo. They augment each other exponentially. However, my doctor told me I can have wine on the lexapro. Then again I'm only on 10 mg...not sure if it makes a difference with your dosage.

I have been on anti-depressants for a number of years so I live with depression and addiction - to xanax and anything else that is addictive. Yeah, I only took the xanax for 3 days but I took enough to have it alter my brain chemicals. Well it sounds like I need to ride it out and see if the depression lifts in a day or two or then get back to the Dr and readjust my anti-depressant. Spring is here so the extra sunlight helps. I also take Flexeril three times a day with a xanax to calm the muscles, I have severe spasticity in my hip and I usually get a nice shot of lidocaine in my back everytime I go to the Dr office. It is worth the money for the few hours of relief. I have been hit and miss on the forum but if you need to talk in more detail about the joint and muscle pain, send me a msg. I think with u already taking xanax and flexeril that u don't need anymore meds. I do think the xanax and flexeril is what is helping u not feel the w/d's so bad. When I got off narcos (I quit a couple times and went right back:-( ) I would get xanax and fleril to get me through it. So from my experience I know for myself that those meds help A lot . How many days has it been since your last dose of pain meds? Did I read last night u took your last dose?

Thx guys. The flexeril, gabapentin and xanax were not steady. The xanax was usually cut 1/2. A rx of 20 lasted 2 months if not longer. The flexeril & Gabapentin has been taken sparaticly also. 1 month RX has lasted me almost 3 on each of those. Last night was only the 2nd time I had ever taken 2mg xanax. At most 1 a day for 3 days in a row. This morning I made my self get up and run errands with my husband and kids.

Hi all, I had been on Xanax 2mg,Vicodin 5/500mg and Tramadol 50mg for 2 yers(Xanax and Tramadol) and 1 year(Vicodin)taking 8 to 10mg Xanax and 2 to 4 pills of tramadol and Vicodin daily. I am slowly weaning off the Xanax, I'm on day 53 and down to 6.75mg and quit cold turkey the tramadol and the vicodin 16 days ago.

Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. My GI doctor has me on Nexium 40mg. and my PCP wants me to take Zantac 75mg. at night before I go to bed. Is it safe, and can I take it with Xanax 1mg. I have GERDS and Barrett's Esophagus. And they both think it mjght be causing these little pinpoint pimples in my mouth, tongue, and throat.

then i was involved in a car accident and was prescribed flexeril 7 days ago. the palps started 30 mins after the first pill. i just thought it was stress from the accident and "oh great, the skips are back"...until they became debilitating, and my bp dropped to 90/50, where as it is usually 115/75.i went to the dr. AGAIN and he said to go see a cardioloist AGAIN.

it has a longer half life then xanax.....xanax lasts 4 hours and clonapin lasts 10 hrs.. i had the same prob, i was on 4 mgs a day of xanax for over a year and then last month it stopped working for me too......try the clonapin, i love it!

I’ve been prescribed the following over the years; Zoloft, Paxil, Xanax, Celexa, Lexapro, Effexor XR, Flexeril and there was one other that I can’t remember the name of when I was a child, but I only took it for approximately one month because it caused me to lactate. The most recent medication I took was the Celexa.

My big fear is epilepsy Oxy use to make me shake and bite my tongue but since i been on 200mg Lamictal it has stopped I read Flexeril may cause seizure but then I also read the opposite. Even if I am not epileptic I like to play it safe as my Doc is out, and the pharmacy worker never seems to know anything. So does Flexeril increase seizure risk or is that just for (diagnosed) epileptics? I don't want to add it to the oxy and have a attack.

been hooked on about almost 200 milligrams of oxycodone {not contin} a day orally and have been taking about 1-1/2 mg of Xanax a day only for a month on the xanax and about 5-6 months of the oxycodone.i have some methadone to stop please someone tell me what to do so i can get off of this **** and not get hooked on the methadone please! could someone who knows what they´re doing get back to me quickly before i go buy more oxycodone.PLEASE!!

I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? Anyway I am already on Valium (for years) and Lamitctal However the ER doc prescribe oxycodone, flexeril, and for some reason ativan? Which I kept telling them i don't understand since i am already on 20mg valiums? They kept saying they will ask and the Doctor said she would update my med information but when i got home I saw they did not update any information and she wrote to take all 3 with no comment on the valium i already been on for years?
