flexeril and xanax together

I was just diagnosed with an autoammune disease and don't want to take plaquenil just yet. Doctor said to take celebrex and a muscle relaxer. I have been taking 1 mg of xanax for 3 weeks and before that it was about twice a week as needed. I was having such anxiety and sleep issues rhemy said to take it every day. Now 3 weeks later she wants to try the new coctail of celebrex and muscle relaxer.

Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. My GI doctor has me on Nexium 40mg. and my PCP wants me to take Zantac 75mg. at night before I go to bed. Is it safe, and can I take it with Xanax 1mg. I have GERDS and Barrett's Esophagus. And they both think it mjght be causing these little pinpoint pimples in my mouth, tongue, and throat.

I was put on Zoloft at first and then switched a few years ago to 40mg of Paxil along with 25mg of Xanax daily. I still feel anxiety and depression, however, and am afraid these drugs no longer work or that I have become immune to their effects. Should I be expecting the dosages of these medications to change over time? Is it normal to prescribe these drugs together? I am also on toprol for my blood pressure. A different perspective on these drugs would help. Thank you.

i started taking zoloft 100 mg 2 times a day and xanax 1 mg 3 times a day and its making me black to the point i stole something and did not come out of it till i was sitting in a holding sell in hand cuffs what does this mean ?

Today is day 6 for me and i feel awesome during the day, its just at night is when its gets a LITTLE rough. I get rls and i get it in my arms too. Ive been taking xanax which i HATE but its the only way i can fall asleep. I bought the sleepy time extra tea last night but couldnt bring myself to drink, it tastes HORRIBLE, to me, but im not a big tea drinker. My fiance still has his vicodin from getting his tooth pulled and i have not an ounce of desire to take one.

Can you see one dr for xanax and another one for klonapin..I currently take 1mg of xanax 3xs daily but always run out and wk early and have horriable deathly withdrawls..I want to see another dr to get klonapin to help me through please help.

i have cut back to 2 mg of xanax a day and by next week i can cut down to 1 xanax and the next week be off.........per my dr he is a pshy.A friend told me she thinks thats to much benzos...........so now im scared. I have to get off the xanax.I am pretty drowsy..but my dr said that should pass once my body adjusts.........

Its getting hard to tell the difference of weakness and preasure. Do you think it will be safe to take my prednisone with the flexeril and xanax. And do you think the prednisone will help my symptoms any.

ve been dealing with major back and neck pain for the last week. Yesterday around 11a, I took a 5mg Flexeril and boy did it do wonders. After a brief nap, most of my pain greatly subsided. The following hours, about 10p, I did see an uptick in stiffness but nothing compared to the pain before the Flexeril. I know Flexeril has an unusually long half-life, about 18 hrs.

Hi, my husband is disabled with chronic severe back/leg/hip pain from multiple failed surgeries and and one of his pain management meds is Flexeril, that Clean mentioned. He too gets wicked muscle spasms and takes the Flexeril for that. It helps him. I am an opiate addict (for effect) but do get bad lower back pain at night, probably from carrying 60 pounds on my small frame during pregnancy...and I am getting older.

Xanax is used to treat anxiety and not pain. Research shows that if you use an opiate pain reliever with Xanax that it will cause the opiate to work better. Xanax will has always been known to make you sleepy so please do not drive while taking it... It knocks me out sometimes, I have have taken a pretty high dose for years and it is still working as well as it always has... helps me sleep.... in fact, nights when I hurt there is not way that I can sleep without it. Hope this info helps.

Your are making some great choices and it will be a rough several days but I can promise you it is well worth it. I struggled with pain meds and Xanax for a few years and was taking enough of both to kill a horse. Luckily I'm not a horse! Anyway have you been taking a lot of Xanax. Be very careful with CT on Xanax because it can be very dangerous. I would like to know how much you were taking of both so I may be able to give you some solid suggestions.

I think with u already taking xanax and flexeril that u don't need anymore meds. I do think the xanax and flexeril is what is helping u not feel the w/d's so bad. When I got off narcos (I quit a couple times and went right back:-( ) I would get xanax and fleril to get me through it. So from my experience I know for myself that those meds help A lot . How many days has it been since your last dose of pain meds? Did I read last night u took your last dose?

I have flexeril and do think it could aid with sleep and anxiety...maybe rls to some extent as well...

i have this strong feeling hes going to put me on another benzo like klonpin witch i took them for 12 yrs prior to the xanax...the methadone and xanax been on both of for 5 yrs the same time was put on the methadone with know problems..i take 40 mgs of methadone and avg 3 mgs of xanax aday..this controls the anxietys and panic is the worst..have had it since 1989..i dont get it much.. but when im maina nothing stops that including the xanax....

I have to agree with greenlydia - it would be best to talk to a pharmacist about the interactions. Both Klonopin and Ativan are benzodiazepines, which, I'm sure, you know, but Klonopin is a longer acting one than Ativan, meaning it will take longer before it starts acting. If I were you, I'd ask your psych doc as many questions as possible regarding meds. My mother suffers from bipolar and is on Lamictal, Paxil and Xanax as needed.

I still ahve anxiety, my doctor gave me Celexa which is okay, my question is, is it okay to take Xanax and Celexa together? I used to take Xanax too for panic attacks, and for now I know it will make me feel better. Does anyone know if they can be taken together? I have never been hooked on Xanax at all, so that is not a problem.

I also take Flexeril three times a day with a xanax to calm the muscles, I have severe spasticity in my hip and I usually get a nice shot of lidocaine in my back everytime I go to the Dr office. It is worth the money for the few hours of relief. I have been hit and miss on the forum but if you need to talk in more detail about the joint and muscle pain, send me a msg. None of my neuros would prescribe anything for me so I talked with my gp and got my meds set up. Also meds like xanax or valium work great as a muscle relaxers and help with spasms and are a take as needed not daily.

Thx guys. The flexeril, gabapentin and xanax were not steady. The xanax was usually cut 1/2. A rx of 20 lasted 2 months if not longer. The flexeril & Gabapentin has been taken sparaticly also. 1 month RX has lasted me almost 3 on each of those. Last night was only the 2nd time I had ever taken 2mg xanax. At most 1 a day for 3 days in a row. This morning I made my self get up and run errands with my husband and kids.

I have hashimotos By the way. I am asking because i am hanving jaw tension and pain now and want to take the flexeril but i am afraid it might trigger my hyop tyroidism.
